My daughter (age 9) got her ear pierced here and it was a great experience. No wait, and John was super patient! Made sure that she was comfortable throughout, and she got to pick her color earring which was super fun for her! One earring fell out a day after, but John quickly responded to my text & replaced it quickly. Highly recommend!

Called in advance to get jewelry and went on my lunch break. I stood there for ten mins before anyone acknowledged me. One guy saw me and kept walking... I had to ask him if I could see the nose studs...
Called in advance to get jewelry and went on my lunch break. I stood there for ten mins before anyone acknowledged me. One guy saw me and kept walking... I had to ask him if I could see the nose studs and he said "oh, idk, John still isn't here. I'll text him."I assume everyone works for themselves based on their own appts and that's why they won't acknowledge you because they don't have an appt with u, but that mentality is hard on walk ins. I ended up waiting for John and he didn't show until 12:45. John then shows me ONE stud he has, which is Z shape and really cheap looking. I asked if he had any other options and he handed me an identical one in gold, which was only slightly less cheap looking. He told me he would bend it to L shape but I found out later, it was still Z. I didn't want my nose piercing to close since I lost my really nice diamond stud, so I took the gold stud out of last minute desperation and handed John my card. He ran it for $80!!! I literally said wtf?!!! John said "it's high because it's gold." I was already late for work now and couldn't go back to Johns crappy inventory with no prices posted and seek out a normal priced stud. I left the shop with the stud crafted by baby jesus hoping it would be the best nose ring known to man. Buuuut it's not..It currently falls down in my nose and hangs out my nostril every thirty mins, which is ridiculous. I am going to see if I can bend this stud myself to make an L and just find another shop with actual quality jewelry and repurchase something because this is not gonna work. It really feels like I'm wearing something worth $5 from Claire's, but I donated another $75 for the babies.

The most incompetent people there!!! I called ahead of time to get JUST a dermal top. When I walked in there, there was a guy cleaning up his tattoo station and had me wait till he was done then asked what I needed help with. He knew it was me on the phone that he spoke with due to me asking the same question in person. He knocked on the door of the piercer to let him/her know I was needing a top to my dermal. Instead of coming out and saying hi I'm busy give me a second this idiot left me standing there listening to him bang shit around. So annoying and rude. I walked out. Apparently there was more fun outside shooting the shit then working inside. This is exactly why I go to Monica at Clovis Ink. I went there in last minute haste and she already left her office for the day. So please only go there if you want to deal with a party outside and incompetent idiots.

To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I am new to the area and I have been wanting to get a memorial piece for my mother so after a few suggestions and a yelp search I found this shop. I was recommended to Will who seemed to be professional and experienced. I texted him a picture of what I wanted (top picture) and he agreed. When I got there he drew out the tattoo and I told him I wanted it bolder as he said he would fill it in as he was doing it. I trusted him because after all it is a "professional" shop. Well I ended up with a tattoo where the Roman numerals were not bold. There is awkward space between the XX and the C is larger then all the other Roman numerals. Not to mention it is totally crooked. On top of that he charged me $80 when it took no longer then 10 minutes to do. I could of went to a hole in the wall shop for half the price and came out with a better tattoo then this. It looks nothing like the picture I originally sent and have been left extremely disappointed. When I privately sent him a message about how I felt he had no remorse what so ever. My advice make sure the initial drawing is exactly what you want or more so don't waste your money.

While I was there I was able to look at artwork for tattoos and they looked amazing. I will for sure go here when I need to get my tattoos done.

When we asked for a price breakdown, one of the employees kept repeating that we were paying for sterile surgical steel with emphasis on the sterile saying that other shops wouldn't give us sterile needles. I may be mistaken but sterile piercing equipment is a REGULATION not a perk.

But I thought wrong ... killer ass deal !!! Richard did an amazing job !!! I would recommend him to everyone I know !!! Thank you sooo much !!! 2nd time I went in with my sister , we got a 4 word saying on our arm , nothing detailed nothing to complex . It took about 15 min for my sister to get hers and mine about 23 min . I got color and some shading . So not even an hour combined! And we both were charged 100$ each!! Yes you pay for something that will be on your body forever, but come on down 100$ for 4 words and a little color ? I think me and my sister were ripped off and will not be going back to that tattoo artist! I would understand the pricing more if it took an hour . And had much more detail... besides all the negative, I'm happy I got the tattoo with my sis !!! Artist: Hondo Tattoo

I didn't have to wait no more then 5 min to get pierced! The piercer, I didn't get his name, was very nice and told me what not to do so I wouldn't get my piercing infected!

I went in with my own artwork, however I had asked the Tattoo ARTIST to help me make it a little more wispy or softer if you will. I had made the appointment weeks in advance and remained in contact sending several pictures and ides trying to make it perfect. All I ever received back was "rad". I was apprehensive about going in, however my husband and I participated in the Toys for Tots special they ran and I had 2 gift certificates about to expire. I decided to just go ahead with the tattoo. Worst mistake of my life! The artist sat me in a metal folding chair, proceeded to inform me about how mad he was about a previous customer complaining about the cost of their tattoo and how he is the only one who ever does anything at that shop. I tried to make small talk, I asked him what his favorite things are to draw/tattoo and in the middle of mine he declares he does not like doing superhero stuff.... Being that my tattoo was superhero related, that would have been good to know from the start. By the time he was done, there was blood running down my arm and it continued to bleed until the next day. I have never bled from any tattoo. When it was all said and done, the artist missed several spots, messed up the pattern and did not even use the right colors! He changed my tattoo alright but not for the better. It was terrible. I was in complete shock. A month and a half later I went to another artist and was able to repair the damage. He said I have a lot of scar tissue because the other guy dug into my skin. Do not go to Red Wave. If you do, do not get Will as your artist. You will regret it. There are far more better places in Fresno.

Its a production shop and Rico does production work; if he wasn't a production shop he would work by himself and the other artist they have working there are even worse. They don't take the time to fill in thier art properly because they are tired from working all day or they have customers ahead of you. I recommend any one to go to a shop that the artist doesn't over book themselves and takes their time to work on you instead of being in a rush. The art that you want on your body should look like the art they draw on paper or canvas. Also look at the details of how straight the lines are and the filling in with color which you'll see how choppy the lines are and the filling of the coloring is the same . I regret getting any art from that place and recommend any to go outside of Fresno or to someone that takes pride in their Art.

I went Into my first appointment with Rico with the mindset of fixing up an old tattoo. We talked a bit about my ideas and very quickly I fell in love with his ideas of what/how my sleeve would look like once complete. I'm so happy my brother set me with their artist! Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I won't respond back to anyone trying to defend what I am about to say. Overall, the tattoo looks good and the line work is nice. However, I have never had a tattoo hurt as bad as this one. The tattoo gun did not seem to be very professional, and I had never heard a tattoo gun buzz as loudly as this one. I also watch the artist rub his nose on his sleeve whilst tattooing my friend and it all just seemed to have an unprofessional feel. Along with that, I didn't witness him pull sterile needles out of the closed packaging, just him setting up his tattoo gun. My tattoo bled for about four and a half hours, and I have the feeling my tattoo will remain raised after it is healed. It was a good priced tattoo, but I don't personally think I will come back for a tattoo from here.

We had went to another shop that had second to none horrible service, so, naturally, we left. High Class Tattoo was apparently too high class provide us service. We got here and immediately felt the warm welcome. I met Will. He was professional and friendly. Gave me a price on what I wanted and began working on a stencil. Started asking me where and how I wanted my artwork done. Haven't had work done in over a decade!! He made it easier. I am very picky! But when you can make characters look awesome, you have more than just talent!! You have a skill and passion. I will be back to get my entire back done by him! My fiancé is going to get her work done by him due to seeing my work. Prices here are excellent!!! Thanks, Will!!

Three friends and I were walk ins, seeing if we could all get tattoos for a bachelorette party over the weekend. The woman at the front was so nice, and helped match us with artists based on the designs we had brought with us. Not only did they fit us all in (Johnny even coming in on Sunday to work on two, which is his day off!), they were open with personal skills and recommending who should give which tattoo based on shading skill or line work. They were attentive and listened to what had to say, and gave recommendations for color and style when anyone was unsure. All four tattoos came out great, had clean lines, and beautiful shading.

The people here were awesome. They were straight forward about pricing and options and made sure I had thought out my choice for tattoo. When I asked questions about pain levels and healing they were straight up with their answers and did not coddle me. Yes it hurst sometimes it is a damn needle. I have since moved from the Fresno area but if I had the urge the next time I was in town red wave is the only place I would go.

I didn't have to wait no more then 5 min to get pierced! The piercer, I didn't get his name, was very nice and told me what not to do so I wouldn't get my piercing infected!

I went in with my own artwork, however I had asked the Tattoo ARTIST to help me make it a little more wispy or softer if you will. I had made the appointment weeks in advance and remained in contact sending several pictures and ides trying to make it perfect. All I ever received back was "rad". I was apprehensive about going in, however my husband and I participated in the Toys for Tots special they ran and I had 2 gift certificates about to expire. I decided to just go ahead with the tattoo. Worst mistake of my life! The artist sat me in a metal folding chair, proceeded to inform me about how mad he was about a previous customer complaining about the cost of their tattoo and how he is the only one who ever does anything at that shop. I tried to make small talk, I asked him what his favorite things are to draw/tattoo and in the middle of mine he declares he does not like doing superhero stuff.... Being that my tattoo was superhero related, that would have been good to know from the start. By the time he was done, there was blood running down my arm and it continued to bleed until the next day. I have never bled from any tattoo. When it was all said and done, the artist missed several spots, messed up the pattern and did not even use the right colors! He changed my tattoo alright but not for the better. It was terrible. I was in complete shock. A month and a half later I went to another artist and was able to repair the damage. He said I have a lot of scar tissue because the other guy dug into my skin. Do not go to Red Wave. If you do, do not get Will as your artist. You will regret it. There are far more better places in Fresno.

Its a production shop and Rico does production work; if he wasn't a production shop he would work by himself and the other artist they have working there are even worse. They don't take the time to fill in thier art properly because they are tired from working all day or they have customers ahead of you. I recommend any one to go to a shop that the artist doesn't over book themselves and takes their time to work on you instead of being in a rush. The art that you want on your body should look like the art they draw on paper or canvas. Also look at the details of how straight the lines are and the filling in with color which you'll see how choppy the lines are and the filling of the coloring is the same . I regret getting any art from that place and recommend any to go outside of Fresno or to someone that takes pride in their Art.

I went Into my first appointment with Rico with the mindset of fixing up an old tattoo. We talked a bit about my ideas and very quickly I fell in love with his ideas of what/how my sleeve would look like once complete. I'm so happy my brother set me with their artist! Rico is a very talented artist and I cannot wait until my sleeve is complete! Highly recommend Redwave to anyone looking for some new ink.

Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I won't respond back to anyone trying to defend what I am about to say. Overall, the tattoo looks good and the line work is nice. However, I have never had a tattoo hurt as bad as this one. The tattoo gun did not seem to be very professional, and I had never heard a tattoo gun buzz as loudly as this one. I also watch the artist rub his nose on his sleeve whilst tattooing my friend and it all just seemed to have an unprofessional feel. Along with that, I didn't witness him pull sterile needles out of the closed packaging, just him setting up his tattoo gun. My tattoo bled for about four and a half hours, and I have the feeling my tattoo will remain raised after it is healed. It was a good priced tattoo, but I don't personally think I will come back for a tattoo from here.

We had went to another shop that had second to none horrible service, so, naturally, we left. High Class Tattoo was apparently too high class provide us service. We got here and immediately felt the warm welcome. I met Will. He was professional and friendly. Gave me a price on what I wanted and began working on a stencil. Started asking me where and how I wanted my artwork done. Haven't had work done in over a decade!! He made it easier. I am very picky! But when you can make characters look awesome, you have more than just talent!! You have a skill and passion. I will be back to get my entire back done by him! My fiancé is going to get her work done by him due to seeing my work. Prices here are excellent!!! Thanks, Will!!

The staff seemed friendly and the place was clean.
However, piercings here are a scam. The piercer obviously works off commission. Would not recommend.

Three friends and I were walk ins, seeing if we could all get tattoos for a bachelorette party over the weekend. The woman at the front was so nice, and helped match us with artists based on the designs we had brought with us. Not only did they fit us all in (Johnny even coming in on Sunday to work on two, which is his day off!), they were open with personal skills and recommending who should give which tattoo based on shading skill or line work. They were attentive and listened to what had to say, and gave recommendations for color and style when anyone was unsure. All four tattoos came out great, had clean lines, and beautiful shading.

I get compliments about my lion head and a lot of other artists complimented the traditional work. 5/5

The people here were awesome. They were straight forward about pricing and options and made sure I had thought out my choice for tattoo. When I asked questions about pain levels and healing they were straight up with their answers and did not coddle me. Yes it hurst sometimes it is a damn needle. I have since moved from the Fresno area but if I had the urge the next time I was in town red wave is the only place I would go.
