My 11-year-old got her ears pierced by Matt on 9/5. He helped her relax when she got nervous just before the piercing. He had an excellent and calming manner about him. Her ears are already healing really well. She had minimal redness and inflammation which went away within 24 hours. Everything was super sterile and he used a sterilization verification indicator when prepping his tools and the earrings she had selected. The price was fair. I highly recommend him. Read Less

If you're thinking about getting work done by Reno, think twice. And think hard. There's been several instances where tattoos done by him have bled out, myself included.I have two pieces done by him, the first should've been a red flag, but I was naive. He's heavy-handed, so I could feel some of the lines pop, even after it's all healed and done. A minor detail, but the second one was proof that Reno was an amateur. My tattoo bled out a good deal and my bf noticed it when he was wrapping me up, but he brushed it off as residue. After consulting several of my friends and one who has had work done by Audie (who spoke highly of him), we all come to the conclusion that it was a bleed. Within a week, I returned and after Reno took a look at my shoulder, he then insisted it was a bruise and would go away. It never did.We returned again after a couple weeks when it hadn't faded out like he claimed and he finally owned up and said it "might have bled out". Might have. I frustratingly asked what he was going to do to fix it and he offered to "throw some color on it" to cover it up, which completely defeats the purpose of the design in the first place. I can't speak to the quality of work at this tattoo shop because I didn't even get to that part but I can speak to their service. I went in on Thursday 8/12 at 1 pm. Hours on the door and online say the open at twelve. I came in to get a quote for a piercing and the guy in front Devan I think? Said he wouldn't be in for another hour. I had to go back to work but I came back with friends at around 8:30pm. Now the hours on the door and online say the close at 10. When I walked in I asked for the piercer to which the guy at the front said, "Oh you know what? I think he's done for the night." He goes to the back and then asked very loudly, "Hey bro, you taking anybody else or are you getting out of here?" I don't hear the response but Devan comes back out and says "Yeah, no sorry he's done. He still has someone back there." I never saw the piercer, I never got my quote, I have never been treated so poorly in a tattoo shop and I've been in some shit ones. I ended up going up the street and getting it done somewhere else right before they closed. And I probably would of gotten better quality work from High Class but after being treated like dirt from the moment I walked in I would never recommend that place to anyone. Read Less

JUST THE WORST "business"!! their sign says walk-ins welcome and I did three walk-ins and all 3 times was told the Piercer was not in. I thought I would do the smart thing and call and make an appointment with the piercer so I got his number and called him and he told me he doesn't take appointments--wth? But he asked me what time I would like to come in and I say "I don't know, maybe noon?"...he says well I come in between 1 and 1:30 (and I think to myself: then why did you ask me what time I want to come in?) but instead I say OK. So I wait a couple of days and I told myself i would give them yet ANOTHER chance, which by the way is now REALLY the 5th chance in all actuality! So I get there at 1:20 PM today. I'm excited that it's going to finally happen and I'm going to get a nose piercing. Instead, I'm told that he doesn't come in until after 2:00. I say that's weird because he told me after 1 o'clock so I'm wondering if you guys are ever going to find someone reliable that wants to work. And the response I get from the tattoo guy is this: "we are artists, we do whatever we want."  HMMMM...I thought you wanted to run a business. You have a sign out front that signifies a business. So I was looking for a place to get my flowered wolf tattoo without really planning it ahead of time and I called a few places around Fresno and they were all pretty closed minded about not having an appointment for this specific tattoo. When I called high class tattoo the guy who answered was really nice and super cool about the idea. The place is pretty small but nice. I went and had my nose pierced by Matt. Overall the piercing experience was good. He showed me himself sterilizing the equipment and everything. Was a little disappointed that when I called ahead and was told the piercing was $40, then when I got there I was told $50, and that if I wanted pretty much anything besides a small flat metal top it was going to be $60. I did aftercare the way he instructed me to, despite it being different than what I have done in the past. It had now been over a month and I had to remove the piercing due to a very large bump on the inside and outside that I've been informed by a different piercer that it was infected and it had a keliod that had developed. Also was pierced too far down instead of where my previous piercing had been, but it was hard to tell in the mirror ahen he first marked it. I completely disagree with people giving Audie and his shop one star. While I understand that some people may have had negative experiences with certain people who were not Audie, that hasn't been my experience. Everyone I've ever encountered at his shop, whether in person or over the phone, have been friendly and helpful. I'm from Los Angeles and live in Sacramento- I drive over two hours to go see Audie. His work ethic, insane artistry, creativity, and passion for what he does are things that I've never come across in a tattoo artist to the level that it comes across in Audie. Reading some of the few negative reviews on here, I personally feel as if people are being unfair. From day one, he has been nothing but helpful and just overall awesome. He IS really busy you guys! That's to be expected from someone who is in high demand all over the country/world. He gets tons of emails and phone calls per day but still manages to find time for everyone that really wants to sit for a tattoo with him. I feel insanely lucky to have found Audie and his shop after searching for over two years for an artist. He truly cares about his art and his mind is just overfilled with these insanely awesome ideas. While sitting for my sleeve, he was telling me all about all these ideas he hoped to work on in the future and before I knew it, I wanted my other arm tatted as well with some of these ideas. I've waited a while to write this review because I wanted to do my experience justice. I literally just pulled up Audie's yelp to recommend it to another friend who is looking into getting a tattoo and noticed a negative review or two. I felt as if I needed to say something about my experience- and this was it in a nutshell. Audie was extremely fair with his prices and I think you truly get what you pay for. Pure disappointment.I searched for a talented artist for around 6 months before I found Audie's instagram page, and I knew this was the guy. I went to the Fresno's Tattoo Expo in March 2017 to see what he could do in person. He did a fabulous Kurt Cobain piece and I mean it was AMAZING... A couple weeks later I went into his shop for a consultation...The meeting went great. He was professional and came off very genuine. I let him know of the things I wanted to incorporate into my tattoo which represented my loved ones who are in Heaven. I also gave him a copy of my family member's EKG, to add into my design. Getting this tattoo meant the world to me...I expressed to him that he was the only person I wanted to get this tattoo by because of how very skilled he is. I felt so appreciative. I paid my non-refundable $100 fee to hold my tattoo dates. We set up 3, this was going to be a larger piece. My first date was 7 months out, which I expected for a real professional. That was no problem. He said about 2-3 months before my first date he will let me know what he comes up with so we can collaborate together on my design.About 4 months before my date I changed my number so I text him to let him know. He replied just a little bit later and said he would save it. I resent our old texts (including photos) to him again so he could have the information under my new number, just like he asked.About 2 months before my date I text him letting him know I wanted to simplify my tattoo and only include 1 or 2 of the elements instead of all 7 or 8 of them.No response.Two weeks before my date I text him to check in with him about my design.No response.The Friday before my Tuesday appointment he text me asking me if I could come in Sunday to see what he came up with. I told him yes, I will be there.Sunday he text me to come a little bit later because his appointment was running late, no problem.Sunday I get there and the design he did come up with was pretty much a huge hummingbird taking up side. I told him I really just wanted to just do my tree and not incorporate the flowers, birds, etc. He mentioned as his professional opinion that the tree wouldn't look good on my side because of the way a woman's body is, how we are curvy. He said maybe on my back or my leg would look good. Changing the location was not an option for me. I wanted a side piece by my hip. That was what we first talked about. That never changed.I felt like I was giving suggestions and they were being shot down.I waited over a year for this day and my heart felt like it was sinking and it took all my might to not start crying.I felt so pressured to come up with a design in the matter of minutes before it was going to be permanent in two days!I felt like the conversation was going no where.Why wasn't I told his professional opinion on the way the placement looks when I went in for my consultation? I would of not paid and walked away.I shook his hand and thanked him for his time. The vibe was off. I feel like at the last minute I got brushed away. Like I was taking up his time. As if he has more important tattoos to do. He should not of given me only a day and a half to decide on a design. That's very little time to collaborate when I was told he would give me 2-3 months! He should of asked to push my dates back out and apologized for poor time management and planning. Shame on you!! You shouldn't get to pick and choose the tattoos you'll spend more time on. Stop over-booking. If you don't have the time for a new customer, don't take one. Don't accept money for a design you don't think will look good in your professional opinion and not say so until the last minute. I feel like I was taken advantage over. Read Less

I have been a client of Audie for 3 years now, and ever since the beggining, Audie has always been so professional about every single detail that goes into one getting tattooed, from the emails back and forward, to the consultation, his prices and the wait time... Im so glad i found him because i had been searching for the right tattoo artist throughout California for the style of tattoo that i wanted and he brought it, and then some!! My idea was only to get one tattoo from him, but that quickly changed, now we have done a whole arm sleeve and we are almost done with my leg sleeve! I will not be going to any other artist ever! I just left this place walked in and the guy sitting behind the desk was rude acted like we were bothering him my daughter showed him the picture of the mermaid tail she wanted and said she wanted crystals in place of dots he said I don't know what your talking about show me so we had to google it and show him  and show him really your a tattoo artist and don't know what she's talking about ???? And said they were to small to do wow ... he totally made us feel unwelcomed Then threw out a $250 price for s small tattoo .Will never go here again and I'll be sure to share my experience with others .. This is the worst tattoo shop in Fresno. Seriously, listen to the other reviews on here and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This will save you from having to deal with some of the most self-righteous assholes in Fresno, it will also save you from wasting your money on mediocre (if not horrible) tattoos. When I visited this shop, I wanted a simple design of a skeleton hand. The rude man who did my tattoo, Peter ( I don't recall his last name), was so condescending! I asked him if he could make the lines thinner, after he drew the design, and he just gave me so much attitude. With an aloof attitude he said, "I have no idea how I could possibly do that". What tattoo artist doesn't know how to draw thinner lines?!Anyways, I ended up with a DISGUSTING tattoo, horrible line work: totally crooked, it looked as if he was shaking when he did the tattoo. This place is great! The shop is clean and welcoming. The epitome of professional. There were four artists in there and they were all respectful and friendly. At no point while I was there did I feel uncomfortable. Reno was my artist and he did an amazing job. He is a great artist and he is kind and courteous. He asked me how I was doing several times throughout the process just in case I needed a break. He held a conversation with me about my son which comforted the pain a little. The tattoo looks better than the picture I showed him! All in all, Reno and High Class Tattoo made a customer for life. Some other reviews I have read say they are pricey but I don't think so. I walked in for a quick simple, easy tattoo. The guy that tattooed me rushed me in and out. My tattoo was simple Roman numerals and the lines are uneven, not straight and when I went back for them to fix it they said they couldn't fix it because it was already scabbed over, which I understand. But they didn't seem to care at all that I was unhappy with their services. He also didn't give me care instructions before he let me leave. The studio seemed pretty clean, but I felt the tattoo was way overpriced for just two short lines of thin script.  They are also crooked; I had even expressed to the artist that I felt they were not on straight but he was very adamant that they were.  In addition, I brought in a paper with the print of what I  wanted, and it was not copied over the way it was on the paper. I went in to get a dermal by my eye. Matt was my piercer. Very cool, friendly guy. Made me feel comfortable. Could tell he was experienced, as I have had many body piercings. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't goodI been a customer of Audie for almost 3 years and I can't say anything negative about him or his shop. When you walk into the shop its super clean and you see by the wall a lot of awards he has received at tattoo expos.The first time I booked my appointment he was really honest about his deposit policy and he made me aware that the work I wanted was going to require more than one appointment and he was straight forward about his minimum session cost for a large scale piece like a full sleeve.For somebody to think he is going to get a full sleeve done for less than $1700 is crazy, you have to look at tattoos as a luxury not a dollar sign. Well, haven't gotten a tattoo in a long time and found this place on Yelp. I was bit reluctant since seeing 4/5 stars when other places have received 4.5-5/5. Just wanted lettering. The guy with tattoos on his face was the rudest person I have ever spoken to from a tattoo parlor! Minimal eye contact and back to his phone, he was condescending in his approach. I wanted lettering that looks like Kanji but it is English. Well, he tried to tell me the tattoo on my own arm, that has my last name, was in Kanji. It's in English. We left and they didn't make money off of me. The other guy had to leave early but was much nicer. Look elsewhere if you want customer service. Read Less

I should be giving this place 0 stars since Audie has $350 from my husband and he didn't even get a tattoo. Six months ago he said he would do my husband's tattoo, but that he didn't have any openings for 6 months. He asked for a $350 deposit and then said he could pay a little at each session as long as the final balance was paid by the last session. The words he used were "$50 bucks here, $60 bucks there". The day before the tattoo he texts my husband and tells him that his minimum is $350 for 3 hours, and that the $350 deposit was just to hold the appointments. To me it seemed like this guy was trying to hustle us, hoping that he would have forgotten what we talked about 6 months before or that he had waited so long already that he would just pay it.  So basically he wanted us to pay $2100 total for a half sleeve. Kinda steep if you ask me, especially since none of this was discussed when the appointments were made. This guy is a crook, and judging by some of the other reviews on here this isn't the first time he has done this to someone. GO ELSEWHERE. I haven't lived in Fresno in over 15 years but I was visiting family and picked this shop out of random. The shop was very clean. The staff was friendly and made sure you were taken care of. I had my nose pierced by Matt Vargas and it didn't hurt a bit. He was very gentle and used techniques to make it less painful (in my opinion). Brought my daughter and niece in to be pierced by Matt Vargas. When getting septum pierced my niece happen to shed a few tears. John did both of my piercings this year (belly button and industrial). He is the only one I trust to pierce me! When I got my belly button done back in February, he noticed that I already had my nose done and he let me know that it was going to hurt a little bit more than my nose did. I appreciated that a lot because I knew what to expect! When I went to get my industrial yesterday, there was no wait. I filled out the paperwork and was seen immediately. He gave me another pain scale before he started. After he created the first hole in my ear, he made sure I felt okay and then let me know that the second hole was going to hurt more than the first one did.
