Best place I have EVER gone to for a piercing. Mike was my piercer and after going to him for my first piercing a few months ago I refuse to go anywhere else. He does the absolute greatest job, and answered all of my annoying questions. If you want a piercing that is properly placed, quickly done and amazing customer service then I highly recommend coming here and asking for mike. BFF and I went in to this spot to get our noses pierced on a whim and without an appointment. Both gentlemen working there were busy prepping to do work on two ladies that were sitting and waiting. Fortunately, when we told them what we were there for, one asked the ladies if they would mind if he paused for a moment to do our piercings. We were beyond happy and surprised when the ladies agreed to wait to accommodate us, and were able to get the piercings done at the last minute. On top of all that... this was by far THE COOLEST looking tattoo shop I've ever been in! My BIL and nephew are both tattoo artists so can confirm that I've seen many a shops. My friends and i came in for a piercing last weekend i had called before we came in and asked if they were cash only the girl said they accept cash and card. Soon as we got there he asked what we wanted the girl told him a piercing and he audibly groaned! *r e d  f l a g* and before he even asked about what i wanted he said "do you got cash?" I said im using card he said cash only right now" and go to a bar to get cash but im not 21 so then he accepted my card! He trying to lie to get cash. My boyfriend and I came in to get tattoos after a different shop we originally wanted to go to closed early. His tattoo artist dug into is wrist extra hard and the ink didn't even stay very well. Plus he said he randomly gets seizures... Doesn't seem safe. I got two on my wrist and the one with details did not come out how I wanted. He did some simple tattoo and I had to keep asking him to add darker lines and shading and eventually just gave up and let him finish. And then he did one on the side of my wrist and kept squeezing the first tattoo to twist my arm. That hurt more than the tattoo. Neither of us are very happy with what we got. Won't be returning. DONT ever come here for a piercing!!!! I came here and the piercer put an extremely short stud for my medusa. This is my first piercing and even i felt it was to short. I came back the next day for them to apply a longer bar and showed them the back of my lip and how squished it was into the stud. all they told me was to "put some ice on it" i went to another shop for a 2nd opinion and the piercer was shocked to see that this short sized bar was applied for a fresh piercing. It took him about 10 times to finally get it off bc of how embedded the back pieced was into my lip. Im very disappointed and will never return. Read Less

I have gotten several tattoos there mostly from Bryne hes really Awesome!!  The place is so amazing you have to see it with your own eyes! soon as you walk in you see water coming out of rum barrels pirate themed,  a  crashed pirate ship and so much more to look at for hours lol. All the guys that work there are so nice ,helpful and very artistic its very clean & great atmosphere ... For your next Tattoo go see them you wont be sorry  o and they have thowback Thursdays and awesome Friday the 13th specials like 20 bucks for a tattoo but get there early last time line was out the door next one is October 13th! Came to get my nose pierced for my birthday and had the best experience!! Not only is the shop super cool to look at but it's really clean and friendly! The guy who did my piercing (I'm sorry I forgot his name) explained everything to me before hand and really made feel at ease! Then when I started to get light headed after ( since I'm a wimp) he really took care of me and didn't rush me to get up. July 4th weekend 2016 me and my friends decided to come here and receive piercings. She got her tongue web pierced and I got my cartilage in my ear pierced (at the top). First off the guy who did it (i don't even remember his name mike i think...something like that) was in a rush because it was the holiday. But we came in before it closed. I noticed instantly that he was indecisive on what he wanted to do. And he asked me how I would like the screw to be placed and I told him to place it to where it is convenient for me to take off when it is time to change it out. Second he didn't clean the surface area at all. RED FLAG!! The piercing part was fine. When it was done I had no problems....the problems came a week or so after.My friend Faith who had her tongue web pierced was in immediate pain. he had to redo it!!!! Because it was crooked. Now she warned him that another piercer told her to not do the web because her web was short..he said nah its cool. RED FLAG. When we got home she was in tons of pain. Couldn't move her mouth much. We tried removing it ourselves but failed miserably. We ended up going to San Bernardino to have it taken out.WASTE OF DAMN MONEY!!! A week ago I had to take my ear piercing out because it was inflamed and infected. I performed the sea salt and tea tree oil that the piercer recommended but it only worked seldom. The piercer here in Palm Springs took almost an hour to take it out because the barbell was too short and the screw was on the bottom..not the top. it was also too damn tight to the point where he had to use PLIERS! My piercing had no time to heal at all. This is why you don't branch out to other shops because if they don't know what they are doing you will get into situations like this. know who is piercing you. check their licensing. speak to the owner and watch their work and how they interact with one another. If they are in a sense of a rush RUN! I wish I could say the customer service was good but it was average. Only good thing I can say is that the shop looked nice as far as interior decorating. kudos to whoever did that! Read Less

Long story short (not really): I went into Artifacts Ink as a walk in on July 3rd. It was maybe an hour or so before the shop closed, and my friend wanted her ear pierced. I was told by a previous piercer that I didn't have enough webbing for the piercing to sit comfortably and heal correctly.  I decided to just get a second opinion, since I was there. Mike ( I think that was his name) informed me that I had enough room and that the other piercer was probably not familiar with those piercings. I decided to push forward and get it. As soon as he pierced it, I immediately felt so much pain in my lower jaw. I had watched multiple videos on ppl getting it pierced and they all expressed it was low on the pain threshold. He had me hold the clamp (????) so he could screw the ball in. I sit up, barely able to open my mouth, and see that the jewelry is crooked . He keeps telling me that's how it's supposed to look when I open my mouth. He insists the actual piercing isn't crooked. I guess my tongue is? Lol anyway. He said he could re pierce it, but I already had a horrible feeling about his first attempt, and was worried he may have caused damage. I decided against it.I got home and the whole ordeal didn't sit right with me. I attempted to take it out myself, to no avail. Thankfully, I was able to find a piercer that evening who was willing to remove it. The pain I felt from removing it was bordering on excruciating. The second piercer told me I definitely didn't have the correct anatomy for the piercing and that Mike may have possibly grazed a nerve in my tongue. It took about 3 days for the pain to subside and I'm alright now.He may be killer at other piercings, but I wouldn't advise him for a tongue piercing. Do your research people Read Less

Looove this place. Just went for my first time to get my nose pierced and first of all price was very reasonable, secondly the shop was clean. Very clean, and nicely decorated. Its pirate themed and has alot of pieces to look at. The shop is very well put together, they paid alot of attention to detail. Just got my septum pierced there. They did an awesome job. It took about 2 minutes to fit the clamps, pierce me and slide the ring in and then Mike did some pleasant small talk and made sure he cleaned up the small amount of blood very quickly. Dudes were nice shop was nice. Came in for friday the 13th tattoos.. the artist i got. Mike was nice but clearly didnt feel like doing my tattoo. He first off placed it crookedly on the back of my neck and half assed the entire piece it looks like a child drew on my neck. Now i have to pay to get it covered up.. never returning to this shop again just due to the lack of skill that mike had. If he didnt want to do it he shouldnt have done it bottom line. So I'm sad to be writing a bad review, but my best friend and I went here in January to get our best friend tattoos. I got an anchor and she got the ship helm, and it was to represent our friendship and I was hoping to get some good work done, but I received much less than I hoped. First, my artist couldn't understand how small we wanted our tattoos, and we ended up getting them bigger than we were expecting. My tattoo wasn't completely colored in from the beginning, and due to the healing process it now looks like I have the outline of an anchor tattoo and the inside much lighter than the lines, and the lines are not even completely straight. I have high expectations when it comes to something that is permanently marking my body and if your planning on coming here, so your research, and remember you get what you pay for. I got my nose pierced here 2 weeks ago. I'm glad I chose this shop. The process was quick & simple, I was in & out in less than an hour. I don't remember the guys name but he wears glasses & has a beard. Anyways he explained everything to me & how the process was gonna go down. I felt no pain & I haven't had any side effects or problems since then. these shop by far has not meet my expectation as a customer/victim i had been coming to these shop for retouch don't understand how tattoo work's but i know when i go to another shop i never had to come back for a retouch seem like the artist that goes by nathanael had problems with details leaving my tattoos half done i can't stress lack of these artist milking my pockets with second grade tattoos i am sure a preschooler could have done a better job no thanks to these lack of talent i am gonna had to get a tattoo remove thanks to these hobbit at the end of the day its are body you pay a artist to give you a tattoo you can be happy with instead like me these man leave me with regrets be warn !!!!!he can't do lining,shading or portrait heaven know what his limits or talent these man clam he have but ill promise you these having him tattoo your body is like playing russian roulette..... My tattoo idea wasn't his usual style but he mastered it. Which is what a good Tattooer does. Sadly I didn't get his name.
