I went in for a qote the artist told me 180-200$ and a deposit which would go torwad my tattoo I went in and he showed what he drew up I thought it was kind of basic but I also felt like of once he's doing it it would be more detail the writing is horrible when done he charged me 200 I was disappointed for paying 250$ for the tattoo not satisfied hope he dose better and for as long as he's been doing ink he should have better skills Read Less

If you are a woman, don't go here alone! The dude who made my appointment "forgot" what time it was for, and I had to wait an hour plus for my appointment. The gentleman continued to make weirdly inappropriate comments and commenced to talk about hitting on me. He commented on my bra and touched it several times. When he wrapped my tattoo, he wrapped it so tightly it cut off circulation to my arms. The other artist left the shop, and I was super anxious to be left alone with him. Although you may not always need a an appointment, one should still make an appointment, for they seem to always be booked or have prior engagements. So it may be best to set an appointment by phone or in person. If you go in person, you and the artist can even take a look at what you're thinking of getting. Tattoo process:What I got was a white ink tattoo on my foot. However, when I was discussing it with the artist, I could tell he wasn't fond of the whole white ink thing, but he still did it. I could have used without the judgement, but I guess I should be glad he did it anyway. Healing and end-product. It was my first white ink tattoo but looking at it, I felt like it could have been better. So I made a call to them again about it, and the artist said it would just look the same and that's how it should just look. I physically went into another shop in Davis (now my forever go-to shop in Davis) and they redid it for 1/3 of the price I paid here! AND! They added more detail and shading than what I originally had! This place is good. It definitely had its perks. But it just didn't work out for me. Not your least expensive place. I had the strongest urge to spontaneously get a tattoo last fall. I wanted to do it only that day, and no other day. I checked every place in town. One place was closed. Another said they'd call me back by an hour and they never did. Fate brought me here.I came here and although there was only one person (George) working with a busy appointment book, he still managed to fill me in (literally).I got my tattoo done on my side/ribs. The outline was huge and I decided to not get it shaded as originally discussed. I was amateur and super squirmish. He was always patient with me. So I got my first tattoo here 3 weeks ago and I'm so glad I got it here. I walked in without making an appt because it was a little spur or the moment kind of thing. I had to wait for maybe 25 minutes but that was understandable because I was a walk-in. There were only 2 tattoo artists there but both were friendly and talking to their clients. When it was my turn, I showed Sergio what I wanted. The concept of my tattoo was a little confusing so the first stencil he drew wasn't exactly what I wanted but he listened to what I wanted again and the second stencil was perfect! Even better than what I imagined. So, then came the tattooing. Sergio asked me if this was my first time and I said yes. He said he'll start with the smaller lines to let me get a hang of how it felt. Even though I was being a little bit of a baby, he was encouraging and nice. He kept saying that I was doing great and that the hard parts were almost over. Sergio also took a lot of breaks to let me take a couple of deep breaths because my tattoo was on the side of my ribcage. After the tattooing was done, he told me how to take care of it and told me if I had any questions or problems or needed touching up, I can just call or come by. Sacred Tiger is a tattoo shop in Davis, California, opened in 2010 by George Hernandez. The best thing I can say about George is that he's been my trusted tattooer for several years now. I met him years ago when he was working at Folsom City Ink. He tattooed my entire chest and sleeved both my arms. For several years, I had monthly appointments, and we just kept going. Even though I've moved away from the Sacramento area to San Francisco, I still go up to Sacred Tiger Tattoo to get tattooed by George. George's new shop is great. It's a bit off the beaten path just outside of downtown Davis, but a nice setting. The shop is small, but well-designed and thoughtfully laid out. George is of course very serious about cleanliness and sterilization, as any good tattooer would be. George is a font of knowledge in the areas of traditional Japanese and American tattooing, but he's also comfortable breaking out of these traditions and getting very creative. The work he's done on me is mostly based on traditional Japanese styles but with lots of weirdness thrown in. It's beautiful work - bold designs with striking colors.
