I made an appointment here based on the Yelp reviews and had a great experience. Jon is a really nice, welcoming guy and was receptive to the idea I presented to him. He quoted me a price and then we made an appointment for the following week. The tattoo was a coverup. He did a great job and made sure I was satisfied with everything along the way. He's a local guy and he appreciated the fact that I was supporting a local business.Overall, I definitely recommend tattoo lab for the great tattoo I got as well as the great customer service experience. I went in with my daughter who wanted additional piercings in her earlobe. Unlike almost every other place we called, they answered the phone & all our questions. Since all the Yelp reviews were about tattoos and not piercings, we were a little nervous. They were very professional, patient, caring and thorough in taking care of us. We will definitely go back! Very good artists here, one of my favorite tattoos was done by joel his prices were better than what i would've paid down the street. i was being charged 300$ for the piece i wanted, i paid 120$ with joel (plus tip) the tattoo healed nicely he has a steady and light hand also he's a disney fan so it came out exactly the way it should (looking exactly like the character). Would definitely recommend this spot. Parking is on the side of the building , i would call ahead just to make sure they don't have appointments scheduled otherwise you'd have to wait or return another day, luckily i got a day my artist had a cancellation . I had been wanting a tattoo for a while and my friend told me about this place. I walked in slightly impulsively and felt comfortable immediately. Joel happened to be available so I got my first tattoo with him. After scouring yelp for the last few months, I did what I always do and acted impulsively when I chose this shop- based on images and previous good reviews of course.Often, even the initial phone call to a tattoo shop results in a Boys Club vibe,  but I called pretty early on Monday and spoke to John about coming in. He was really personable on the phone, asked me about what I was looking to get done, and told me he had walk-in availability that afternoon. I walked in and showed him a few pictures and he took about 20 minutes to come up with exactly what I was picturing. His tattoo set-up was clean, he opened the needles in front of me (as all artists should), and went to work on my shoulder. John is a great and comfortable person to talk to while hes working, but doesn't force any convo if you're not in the mood.Congrats John, you're stuck with me for awhile while we work on my sleeve. I walked into Tattoo Lab based on their 5 stars looking for a nose piercing. They no longer do piercings, however, the two artists Jonathan and Joel made my friend and I feel right at home as soon as we walked in so we decided to stick around and check out their work on clients who were waiting ahead of us. Impressed, my friend decided to get her birthday tat a week early. After seeing Joel aka Old Macdonald AKA Pizza Wulf's line work I was compelled to get my very first tattoo. It's May and my 30th birthday is coming up and I didn't really know what I wanted - then it occurred to me that I've always wanted this design of the Serbian coat of arms/orthodox cross (I'm very patriotic ) on my back - for years (since I was about 18) however I was always too much of a pussy to go get it done.. Not knowing what I wanted, my husband persuaded me to have it done as a 30th bday gift from him (how could I say no)?Phoned around to different tattoo parlours and most were not very helpful or forthcoming on the phone.. My final call was to The Tattoo Lab and Jonathan was extremely helpful - he returned my call within 10mins and had a proper conversation with me about what I wanted.. I sent him photos of exactly what I wanted and when I arrived for my appt he designed a beautiful piece!It took 4 and a half hours (yes a long arse day) but was worth every minute!The tattoo was perfect and turned out exactly as I'd hoped!Thanks again Jonathan! I live in the neighborhood and have been driving by this place for ages. When I decided it was finally time for my Wonder Woman tattoo I decided to pop in based on the reviews here. I was not at all disappointed. Jonathan did an amazing job for a more than fair price and I'm happier with the end result than I thought I could be. The work was amazing, the shop was laid back and the whole experience was great from beginning to end. It wasn't my first tattoo experience, but it was by far the best I've had. I will be back. What a great place to get a tattoo.  I love how compact this spot is, and how easy going the people that work here are.I have gone into tattoo shops before where I feel kinda intimidated, just because everyone stares at you.  Like I thought people with tats were suppose to be the least judgemental!? lol.My friend and I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon to get a symbol tatted on the inside of our fingers.  Pretty dope spot.  Isa took care of us, she was super chill, very talkative, and super helpful.  She just charged us the minimum since the tats were the size of a penny.If you're looking for some work done, definitely stop by.  CASH ONLY! Dude has some seriously steady hands, and a light touch. Great with linework. I'm really pleased. Really laid-back shop, art all over the walls, reggae on the radio, chill place to get some ink. Got my 1st tattoo here this afternoon.Although I knew almost nothing about the process of getting a tattoo and didn't even know what I wanted to get, the owner Jon explained everything to me in simple terms and was even nice enough to sit with me while we searched through his many art books and found what was perfect.He is a very talented artist and much of what you can find here is original art and CANNOT be found anyplace else.I'm very happy with my experience here, will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to someone else. I was looking up different locations to get a tattoo, and after looking at reviews i decided to check this place out.Jonathan was nice enough to come asap when i called and im stoked i was able to walk in without an appointment although next time (and i plan on returning again sometime later this year!) i will be sure to be courteous enough to make one. Jonathan's also a pretty cool guy to talk to and i got to look around the shop and saw some of his work and at the end of the day i was filled with satisfaction that i got this tattoo ive been wanting to get for the longest! By talking to him about what he does you can tell that he loves what he does and i was talking to him while i was also looking at how he was working on my tattoo and its crazy how steady he was during the whole process, and was able to give me a welcoming experience for my first tattoo !
