I wish there was an option to give more than 5 stars because Bernard deserves all the stars. From our initial emails, through the consultation, to the actual tattoo, I felt comfortable and like we collaborated well together. I have been to tattoo artists in the past that don't listen or make you feel pressured to get something that doesn't align with your vision but Bernard isn't that person. He listened to my ideas, gave input about how to make things flow and what I ended up with exceeded my expectations because Bernard is super talented. The piece I wanted was a mandala and part of it included a cover up and he drew a piece that was strategic for the coverup as well as incredibly beautiful. He was mindful of the space and created a piece that could also be added to if i want to later, which i really appreciate. I have a couple sessions left and I cannot wait to see what they bring!!!! Between me and the boyfriend, we have gotten quite a few things done by Bernard and we are both very satisfied. I've had work done elsewhere and I always feel like certain things could have been done better, but not the work I got done with Bernard. The lines are SOLID, the colors are bold and it looks great. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo and yes he specializes in Asian art, but we've gotten non asian art pieces and they are awesome! Bernard did my half sleeve which included a cover up, touch up and new work. I appreciated that he is educated in field and the traditional artwork so you get meaningful pieces and not just a mess of work on your body. Most often you'll have to schedule your appointment a month out after consulting but it's worth it! His place is meticulously clean and all tools are opened when you get there. He's got a great hand. A good friend of mine was interested in traditional Japanese artwork and had an appointment to this place.  I contemplated on coming with him but I'm glad I did.  Besides the studio being directly across the street from Titos Tacos and having unlimited ammo on teasing him on how much he cried....I was glad I came to see how professional, personable, and passionate the owner is in his artwork.  The studio walls are lined with his art and the overall space is very clean and organized.  The owner has a very fun personality and is very easy to talk to.  I can see why my buddy chose this place.  *Just a note, this place is by appointment only.
