I had a piece in mind for a few years and recently really began coming up with something more concrete. My daughter recommended a shop in Walnut but I didn't feel like driving there, so I hit Yelp to check out another place near my house.  In checking reviews, I came across ADTS and began reading.  The reviews were off the chart. I dropped by the shop early this afternoon and chatted with Manny about my idea, a fairly simple design, and he asked if I wanted to do it today. I said if someone was available, sure.  He said to come in around 6.  I arrived around 5:45 and Manny greeted me as he was finishing up his previous client. He gave me some positive feedback on my design, offered his thoughts, and in a short time he came up with a design that reflected exactly what I wanted and his experienced suggestions.  We decided to go larger, and then I was in the chair.  It isn't my first piece so I knew what to expect.  We had a great time chatting, and less than an hour later I was done.  It's perfect. It's exactly what I had in my head, now on my forearm.  I have a few other designs in mind and I won't hesitate to come here for them, or suggest it to others. Got this done a few days ago, have been wanting to do this piece for yrs. and finally got it done. We walked in to get work done on my husband but, I ended up getting one done (no worries he has an appt coming up) My artist was Manny, he did an excellent job. I am soooo happy with this tattoo it's only my 2nd one but, now I am now thinking of my 3rd. This review is after 4 visits and 2 tattoos here. TLDR: great artists, not crazy wait times, and very clean. About me: 34yo, 10 tattoos.What stands out to me is my first visit, even as a commission based business, I was directed to the tattoo artist that would best fit my needs. When I came in I had an idea about what I wanted. In talking to the artist who just happened to be there he instantly got me and said "Manny would be great for this". I know that it meant he would not earn money on my tattoo. He had me go to the right artist for the job. Instantly I felt that he cared more about my tattoo than just another job. After I got in contact with Manny we talked about my ideas and I left a deposit so he could start work on my tattoo. When I returned he showed me his sketch and we made some final touches. The whole process made me feel at ease. I felt valued. We worked for a few hours and called it a day. I first came here and got my Medusa piercing in 2017. Jonathan did it and he was super cool and professional. He thoroughly explained what was going to happen and what  to expect in terms of swelling, aftercare, etc. After like 8 months I took out my Medusa (well i lost the top to my jewelry) and 3 months later here we are. I went in yesterday wanting to get my Medusa repierced and of course I went back to Johnathan. When I came in he was super cool and professional. He explained to me that the hole might still be open in that case, we'd just have to nudge it open so jewelry can fit and explained that I wouldn't have to pay for the whole new piercing. Unfortunately the hole closed and we had to get it repierced but I brought my own jewelry so he cut the price. It's my second day back with my Medusa and I love it! He was extremely accurate in telling me that the healing process would be a lot easier this time around and it definitely is! I came in with my friend and she was really impressed too. Just got my septum pierced and I am so happy that I went to Jonathan. Prior to coming in the shop, I called to ask multiple places about their jewelry material and pricing. Other places are cheaper BUT they also use crappy "surgical" steel material, which legit piercers stay the hell away from. My septum was $60 cash ($65 if you pay by card) and pierced with implant grade titanium, which is one of the only metals recommended by professionals safe enough to be put in your body. It is hypoallergenic and lightweight. Additionally, all of their jewelry are internally threaded--the part you "screw into" is inside the bars and NOT the ball--so that it is less likely for the balls to fall out. Also, when you change the jewelry, the threading would not irritate your piercing with the jaggedness. This is another piece of evidence for me that Jonathan really knows what he is doing. It is so important to do your own research and not cheap out on body mods!Onto the piercing process, Jonathan explained every step of what he does so nothing caught me by surprise. Even the pain was just quick and personally, a 3/10. The placement of my piercing is right through the sweet spot (where it should be) and symmetrical (although Jonathan explained that it might not be for everyone because we are all asymmetrical). He made me feel comfortable and just seems like a laid-back, professional guy. He also patiently listened to my concerns about how snug I wanted my septum to look. My boyfriend got his lobe pierced after me and Jonathan made sure to sterilize the piercing seat and also explained the step-by-step process to him. For his jewelry, they used a labret (lip piercing) jewelry that has a flat back so that it would not irritate the skin behind the ear. His single lobe piercing was $50 cash and also internally threaded, implant grade titanium. Overall, my experience is everything I wanted for my first facial piercing. I've been wanting to get my ear pierced for the longest time so I finally made the impulsive decision to get it done last night. I was not disappointed at all! Getting my ear pierced with Johnathan was the best decision! He was very professional and you can tell he definitely knows what he's doing. It was my first time piercing my Tragus and helix so I was super nervous but he was very reassuring of what to expect so that helped a lot with the nerves. I did my research and called up and talked to them. I ended up just walking in with no appointment. Rose, the front desk lady, was so kind and helpful. I've come to American Dream tattoo to get the Daith piercing (for migraines and it worked for me) and the tragus piercing and pierced again because I lost my earring the first time lol Johnathan is awesome! The environment is very clean and welcoming. Johnathan is professional and all about sanitizing so you won't have to worry about getting an infection or having to get a part of your body amputated lol he walks you through the whole process of before, during and after getting the piercing, which is reassuring if you're nervous. I will mention again that he is very clean and sanitizes everything, which is very comforting for me since I'm kind of a germophobe. All my piercings have healed pretty quickly and without any problems. I had to go back a few weeks ago to replace my earrings with plastic ones because I needed to get a medical exam that required me to remove all my earrings. John was super cool about it and replaced my earrings with temporary plastic ones, which they sell there, and even put my earrings in a little plastic bag for safe keeping. I returned a few days later to put the originals back in. John sanitized the original earrings again and put them back on without a problem. John is awesome! I went there recently to redo a ear piercing because my  previous ones had closed due to the fact that I have not worn earrings since along time ago.For piercings, it is a walk in first come first serve basis.  If your planning to do a piercing please call them ahead of time as the person who did the piercing (Jonathan) might not be there during the time you planned to come.  Also, bring your ID or your guardian as you need consent to do it.When I walked in, I met Jonathan right away across the counter.  He was very friendly and made sure I had all our questions answered before moving forward.  I filled out a form and waited about 15 mins because someone else was there right before me.  I was walked into his piercing room and it was clean.  He walked me through the process.  While preparing, he showed me everything on the tray.  Everything is single use and opened from a new package.  After the piercing, he explained very clearly the after care details and answered again anymore questions I had.  He was very professional and I was walked out as a happy customer. This review is a little late but I still want to share my experience.I called in to try to get a quote first over the phone. Sammy picked up and had such a friendly voice. As I was explaining what I wanted and he was very helpful in giving me his insights.I came in about an hour later and we discussed a little about my piece and although it was a pretty big piece(definitely not a regular walk-in type) he told me to come back the following day and he'd have something ready for me.I came in the following day, was very happy with what he came up with and went ahead with the session. It took about 2 and a half hours if I remember correctly and he was just so easy going and pleasant throughout the whole session.Overall, this place has honest prices, talented and genuine artist and just a good energy. To my surprise they replied really quick and I was given instructions to call Jonathan directly. My best friend and I decided to get spontaneous rook piercings together and stumbled upon this location. I definitely recommend coming here for any piercing because Jonathan was thee best! I had the pleasure of having Victor do my tattoo. I was referred by my uncle that has two sleeves done by him. Very honest, chill, up front about how the tattoo will be over time which is something I really appreciated as a lot of artists will just do something get paid and not care. I got a conch piercing done a few weeks ago by Jonathan. He was really sweet and walked me through the whole process and the after care. Like a noob, I told him I wanted both ears pierced in one go but he advised me to get it done one at a time so that I can leave it alone and let it heal faster.He let take my time to relax since it was my first time I was getting a piercing. I have the standard lobe piercing from when I was a baby but that doesn't count lol. About a week ago, the front bulb of the earring came undone because of the circular motion I was doing while cleaning the wound. I took it back and Jonathan was very nice and put it back for me since its stem is pretty short.Overall, very pleasant experience for me. I'm definitely going back to get more done. Read Less

Jonathan is the best piercer ever! I got a helix piercing. He answered all my questions politely and precisely, and even made sure to explain every part of the procedure. For instance, he explained to me that prior to the piercing he wanted to see how close my preferred placement was to the blood vessels in my ear. He explained that hitting a blood vessel wouldn't kill me, but it would cause a lot of unnecessary bleeding. After my ear was pierced, he asked me how I was feeling, and made sure I was %100 and understood the proper way to care for my piercing before sending me home with his contact information, should I have any further questions. I came here today to get my 3rd tattoo. Mike was so awesome! I put my full trust in him and he did not disappoint. Didn't hurt either. I'm already planning my next tattoo. Will definitely be back. Out of all the locations that I've been, this is probably my favorite! everyone is always so cool and welcoming as opposed to other areas that i have been to, Feeling uncomfortable and not very welcoming.
