July 26 One of my close friends recommended OL to me since she got her nipples done from Gregg. I decided to get mines done too! She called to check if it was busy, thank goodness it wasn't! Of course, you have to give your ID in order to be pierced, sign some papers, and go on your way. Gregg spent some time ensuring that that "lines" or "marks" on my nipples were even and straight. He then sterilizes all of the equipment. Before he actually pierced me, I needed a moment because I was so nervous.. haha! He talked to me throughout the whole process to calm my nerves and surprisingly it wasn't as bad! I would definitely say that the second nipple hurt way more than the first. Afterwards, he discussed the cleaning and care process considering how it takes about 6-12 months to fully heal. He also recommended a spray solution for my healing process which was $7 a bottle. Price: $104 + jewelry + spray = $111I would recommend Gregg. He's a professional and educated piercer. He's awesome! Definitely coming back for future piercings! Read Less

UPDATE: Came back for moral support for a friend and ended up letting Gregg give me a surprise piercing, he chose to give me a conch and picked the cutest jewelry ever. I was skeptical about getting about conch piercings, but I love it! Always feel safe in the hands of Gregg! Gregg is the best. I came in to get my septum pierced by him and he was so careful, very transparent, and a perfectionist about it which is amazing when someone is putting a needle through you. I would 10/10 recommend him. The wait and cost is totally worth it when you know you're in good hands. I moved to San Diego and waited until I was visiting family in town so he could pierce me. He is very informative and will lay it out for you in all honesty so you don't have any surprises. Explains what to do, expect, and after care instructions. Always available for questions or if you want him to check up your piercing/change jewelry. The only downside (which I don't even mind to be honest) is piercings are walk in basis and sometimes there is a long wait. So I would recommend giving yourself a couple hours just in case. I've gotten my nose and upper lobes pierced by Gregg, and both experiences have been fantastic! You can check out his work on Instagram @greggthepiercerFinding parking really depends on the time and day you come, I've driven around the lot for 30 minutes looking for parking, and I've also found parking right in front of the store. So it's really a hit or miss.I highly recommend calling ahead to see what the wait time is before you drive over to the shop. When you first tell them what you want pierced, they'll check ID and give you paper work to fill out. The piercer (usually Gregg) will check the anatomy of the body part (in my case, nose and ears) to make sure that your body won't reject the piercing. He's very straightforward and will answer all your questions honestly.The cost of the piercing depends on the jewelry you buy. I got a small 18k gold stud for my nose, which was about 110$. And two titanium studs for my lobes, about $100 for both. I also got a jewelry change for my nose, 14k rose gold hoop (~$110). You can't bring in your own jewelry for the initial piercing due to health codes.Gregg is very honest about the healing time for your piercing. I know a lot of my friends have gone to different places and have been given timelines of 3-6 months for their nose piercings when it actually takes 6-12 months. The upper lobes take 2-4 months.After all this happens, Gregg disinfects the jewelry and walks you into a private room. You can bring one person in with you. You'll lay down on the little bed. He disinfects your body part with iodine. For my nose piercing, he covered my face with a little towelette. The piercing should be over within 30 seconds. I'd say 30 seconds of pain for a beautiful piece of body jewelry is worth it.He'll send you home with a bag of iodized salt with which to clean the piercing (instructions are on the bag). Don't be stingy with your cleaning regime. If you run out of salt, you can always go back for more at no charge.He encourages his clients to come back every month and get the piercings checked (at no charge).I am without a doubt, always going to return to him for my piercing needs. I came in because I wanted to get new earrings for my cartilage since I've been wearing cheap jewelry and it started to infect my ear. I walk in and I just started to look around at the earrings they have and the lady at the counter was like "what do you want" and said it extremely rudely. I said that I wanted to get new earrings since I've been experiencing some icky stuff coming out of my cartilage piercing so I just wanted to change out the cheap earrings. She was so rude and said "all of our piercers are out of town. Come back again." I was like "oh I don't need a piercing, I just wanted to purchase some earrings" and she was still rude and said "I said all of our piercers are out of town." What kind of place that specializes in piercings and tattoos doesn't have at least ONE person working in that particular area? I'm never coming here again. I'm so extremely disappointed with the service provided today.  My wife and I been going there for the past four years for tattoo and piecing. I also had brought my neighbors in order to get piercing done at Outer Limits.  We live in Anaheim Hills and its not a close drive to go too.I brought my 17 year old today in order to get her nose pierced and they had asked me for my ID, daughters ID, and they wanted a Birth Certificate with the proper seal.  They said its a Health code.  They wouldn't except a pdf file being sent in from the house, they needed the Org. copy.  Its like we live in a third world country.  I didn't know at that point and we drove all the way back to Anaheim Hills and got my daughters paper work.  Drove back to OL and the lady said you have her original Baptism and not the Birth Certificate and no exceptions.  I was sooooo upset and pissed.  I'm there as her father, have my daughter DL, my DL not sure what else is needed.  I walked out and never to recommend this place and never walk in there ever again.  The comment from another writer on June 3rd being rude, Yes.. I agree on that comment on that girl.Also, I went back and read many laws online by the Health Law and rules and there was NOTHING in any of the laws that says you need a Cert. Birth Certificate.  The only thing you need was a parent consent, which I was there with my daughter.Your laws at your shop are incorrect and false to consumers. Two friends and I walk into a tattoo/piercing shop to get piercings. Initially, my friends wanted second lobes and I wanted a tragus + cartilage piercing. The woman who greets you will check id and give you paperwork, if you ask about pricing, she'll ballpark for you until you get to talk to the tattoo artist/piercer. (understand it's a selling strategy I see a lot of negative reviews bc of it) LOL. It's so easy to say no if the price is too high. One of my friends waited on her second lobe piercing bc the price.Moving along, we all got super comfortable with Gregg, and ended up getting totally different piercings than we initially wanted. My friend and I got our conch pierced (it's his favorite to pierce). Gregg is super professional, talked us through it, and had our piercings done in no time. He made the entire process fast, easy, and calm. It didn't hurt at all! Just a little pinch when he put in the jewelry. To be honest it took longer to pay the bill than the whole cleaning, prep, and piercing process. He is very informative in ways to clean and care for your piercing. Super rude from the minute we walked in. I went in to get a daith piercing to help alleviate headaches, and right off the bat, the woman at the counter wouldn't answer my questions. After being sent over to the male employee, I asked if they do daith piercings and how much it cost. I was told in a very condescending tone that "of course they do." I asked again about the price, and the guy said the price would depend on the jewelry I pick out - wouldn't even give me a base price or range. (I don't have a lot of piercings, so I was genuinely asking because I didn't know.) Then he looked at my ears with his dirty cell phone flashlight and informed me that I "don't have the anatomy for it." Now I know that for many people this is true, but he assured me that my body would "definitely reject" it. My mom, who has her daith pierced, was with me. She asked if he would have pierced hers. He hesitated before saying yes, but insulted the artist who did hers and said he could have done it better. Rude! If you're looking for a pretentious shop with lacking customer service, go to Outer Limits. That is, if they don't definitely reject you first. PS: Went to a different shop in Anaheim this week, and not only did she say that my anatomy was fine (though I also saw her talk someone else out of a piercing she didn't recommend), but my headaches have disappeared. Recently got a tattoo from Russ there. I had a complete idea on what I wanted, and at first he said it would not work the way I want. He then redesigned completely, but keeping the main idea, that of a raven falling down. It was far better than what I initially wanted! I actually got my conch pierced here a few months ago! I had a random urge to get another piercing and made a friend go with me. We had to wait a little since it was Saturday night and there was only Gregg to do the piercing but it was worth the wait! I have multiple ear piercings but hadn't gotten a new one in almost 10 years! Gregg talked me through the process and calmed my nerves.Outer Limits is super clean! Gregg did everything up to standard and almost felt like he was a surgeon for much he washed his hands, sterilized the equipment and my ear. When the time came for the actually needle through my ear I was freaking out but he did it so fast it almost didn't even hurt! I was definitely sore (like super sore) for a few weeks but it doesn't even bother me anymore. I love my new piercing! I actually needed to go back soon and change the earring for a hoop! Read Less

I'm so so happy with my experience here. I waited a few weeks before reviewing just because I wanted my tattoo to heal properly to provide an accurate review.When I finally decided on what I wanted my first tattoo to be, I knew I was coming to outer limits. I'd heard of this place growing up since high school since I went to school nearby, so it obviously had a strong and positive view in my mind.I walked in for my consultation and asked a LOT of questions about it because I have a super low pain tolerance. Everyone inside was super nice and funny and really made me feel at ease. The vibe was so chill and it was great to see that everyone acted so friendly.I went in for my appt on Saturday morning with Marco. I was getting a small wave in right under my neck in between my shoulder blades, going over my spine which I heard hurt a lot.Marco really put me at ease, helped me align the location perfectly, and went over sizing and everything. When we first started I WAS SO SCARED LOL. The sound of the needle turning on was terrifying tbh but I was pleasantly surprised because it really didn't hurt that bad! I would compare it to a less painful version of getting laser hair removal. There were definitely some spots that hurt more (right on the spine) but it was tolerable.We kept up a conversation throughout the session which helped because I wasn't as focused on the pain. It went really smoothly, done within 45 minutes! and I only paid $75 so basically my whole deposit.After care was really straightforward, I used the dial soap, couldn't find the orange one that they told me to use so I just found another anti bacterial one which worked fine. The hardest thing was sleeping on my stomach lol that was impossible! But honestly my tattoo healed wonderfully, it was good to go in like 2 weeks. It scabbed a little bit but I didn't notice much because it was on my back and I couldn't play with it much. Overall, I'm so happy about my tattoo and my experience here. Just got back from getting my navel pierced by Denna! When I first walked in, I saw that this place was a smaller cute little shop. They only accept walk ins for piercings, so I signed my name and waited for denna to finish up with one of her clients. Wait was about 30 minutes. Not  bad at all. When denna was ready for me, she took me into the room and made sure that I felt comforted by letting my bf be in there with me, as well as making small talk and walking through the process with me to make me less nervous. Denna then marked the piercing and made sure it was okay with the placing which it was (: The piercing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Just a "small pinch" as she said, and she was right. It's a bit tender right now, but that's just a healing process. She also gives you a bag of salt to do your saline solutions! Highly recommended this place and ask for Denna! Love this place. Great artists, Mario is my guy! Love his work. Ive had him do at least 5 pieces for me. The place is very very clean, they all follow the law as far as gloves, aprons, plastic wrapping what needs to be, and my favorite, it is not all crowded with people who want to sit with their friends while they get inked. It's just you and the artist in the cubicle. You can still see and talk with a friend, just so long as they don't enter the work area. That he...lps keep everyone/everything from cross contaminations. (I have seen other shops where there are just people walking around everywhere) In fact OLTattoo is cleaner then some medical offices I've seen. I have also worked with the piercer, Greg as well. Who of course follows the same high standards of cleanliness and making sure jewelry is disinfected & clean before piercing new or even just changing out jewelry. As you can tell I'm a big fan! Got a inner bicep tattoo and a young guy named Andrew was my artist. I didn't even know some people consider that a painful spot for a tattoo until Andrew told me about it (while he was already doing it) and I must say, it was not painful at all. He's got a light and steady hand with very straight lines etc. A bit on the pricier side, but very well worth the result. The blonde lady that checks you in and gives you the consent paperwork to fill out could be a bit more customer service oriented for a more pleasant experience (perhaps she was just a little stressed out that day?) , but other than that, I would definitely come back. I went in for a specific piercing (not typical), but one that I decided would work well for me. When I walked in I was introduced to Tara, my piercer. She was very professional, good eye contact, knowledgeable about the piercing, and the anatomy needed for the piercing, great posture, etc...pair that with the fact that she is super sweet and gorgeous was enough to put me at ease. They gave better instructions on aftercare at The Outer Limits then any shop I've ever used. They even provided a bag of sea salt to use for mixing your own solution. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. I'm sure they are all great but I will be asking for Tara. BTW.....the place is wicked clean. Read Less
