I thought I wrote this review already but in case it was removed, here it is again. I went in with my GF about a year ago (walk-in) for her to get a very small tattoo in a thin line. We got a young dude who told us how amazing he was at tattooing as he set up for the job. He decided to ignore her request for a thin line tattoo and used a much fatter needle (like a 5 round when she wanted single needle or a tight 3) and then went back over his lines twice. So much for confidence in your craft right? Well, it’s been a year and it’s already starting to bleed out and doesn’t look that awesome. In the background, the owner and his employees were talking the whole time about being violent towards people they disliked and laughing which seemed like a strange topic of conversation to make people wanna come back. WATCH OUT.

I came to Blue Star looking for an industrial piercing, but I wasn't sure if it would work with my ear shape. After a consultation with Pablo, who was friendly and professional, he confirmed that my ear was too small for the piercing, but not to worry for there was plenty of other options. Pablo went over several different types of piercings and placements, and explained which options would be most aesthetically pleasing by taking a picture of my ear with an iPad and drawing out the options on the tablet. We had a nice conversation as we discussed the possibilities. I appreciated his throughness and how knowledgeable he was. He made the actual piercing experience quick and comfortable. In terms of final cost, it was slightly more than I expected, but I do not think something as permanent as piercings should be "cheap" and I think the final result was worth every penny. I did not come expecting to get a double rook, but I'm very pleased with how it looks and I think it suits me perfectly. I would highly recommend Pablo and Blue Star to anyone looking for a piercing in Concord.

Love Blue Star tattoo. I go there for the piercing artists, and they have never failed to impress - friendly, knowledgeable, skilled. I wouldn't go any where else in this area.

It's cool, artist was good. I'd prefer a tattoo bed inside a room instead of in the open area, but maybe I should've asked for that? You need to schedule an appointment and you put a deposit down. The guy who tattooed me was named Roni. He was quick, and it wasn't so painful. I told him what I wanted, and Emailed him my ideas, and he made the tattoo how I wanted it. Gave me a bandage to wear for 24 hr after. It healed up well.

Completely understand small parking area. As the owner I would like my spaces to be available for my clients. But it would also BE IDEAL to have clearly visible signs posted in front of parking spaces...
Completely understand small parking area. As the owner I would like my spaces to be available for my clients. But it would also BE IDEAL to have clearly visible signs posted in front of parking spaces. I parked here not knowing that they were reserved because there is not a visible sign posted in front of the spaces facing the pizza building. They are not ground marked. Not even here 10 mins & a tow truck was call. Someone clearly saw me pull and and instantly dialed the truck. Clearly this happens enough the owner and tow truck have worked out a deal. That's sad. When somone takes joy in something like that. Putting people out of work For a 10 min mistake. But I can see your greed for spaces out weighs your thoughts for your community.

While I was waiting I talked to Zach about a tattoo I wanted. He was super cool and did it right after I got my piercings. They both did such an awesome job and took me on the spot.

I called and asked for a specific gentleman to do my septum peircing, I was told to come on down and I would be taken care of. Darrin who wasn't the piercer on sight at the time was just the guy I wanted, he took the time to very professionally and personally see all my questions were answered and took the time to do my peircing. I was a walk in and he had a 1:00 appointment, never did I feel rushed or uncomfortable. There's a reason this shop stays in business as long as this one and his name is Darrin. Thank you for your amazing skills & kind demeanor.

I love Blue Star, it's definitely the most expensive place I've ever been to get anything done (i've never walked out spending less than $50....) but worth it for me because i am very allergic to most metals. my only problem with this place is that it is overpriced. nonetheless i'll be coming back here as usual for piercings!

Called to see if I could get my dermal tops changed out. The lady said yes. I then asked if there was a charge. She said yes $8. So I asked is that per dermal or a flat charge. Lol. The piercer then said well it depends on how long it takes, you could have 15 dermal. Okay. So do you charge per dermal? She again said it depends how long it takes. It could take most of my day up. Next question, what do you charge for your time? The piercer than answered back maybe I should ask how many dermals you do you have? At this point it doesn't matter how many I have. You can't tell me if u charge per dermal or by the minute. This shop sounds super shady and out to take people's money. I will never step foot here. Highly would not recommend.

I have now gone to blue star twice. Both time for a piercing and Tiana is amazing. She is a true artist in her craft. My first was my rook and it was the best piercing I had. Yesterday 2/4/17 I got. Double forward helix, this can be a tricky piercing but she took her time to help find the right jewelry and she took her time to get the placement perfect. The piercings were not that painful. I love the placement and they are healing nicely. Blue Star is clean and Tiana is just amazing. I highly recommend this shop.

I thought I wrote this review already but in case it was removed, here it is again. I went in with my GF about a year ago (walk-in) for her to get a very small tattoo in a thin line. We got a young dude who told us how amazing he was at tattooing as he set up for the job. He decided to ignore her request for a thin line tattoo and used a much fatter needle (like a 5 round when she wanted single needle or a tight 3) and then went back over his lines twice. While I was waiting I talked to Zach about a tattoo I wanted. He was super cool and did it right after I got my piercings. They both did such an awesome job and took me on the spot.
