THERE ARE BETTER MORE REPUTABLE SHOPS BESIDES THIS PLACE WITH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!  If I can give this place zero stars I would. 3 weeks ago my girlfriends and I stopped by the shop and they paid for my tattoo as a birthday gift to me. My appointment with Rudy was scheduled over 3 weeks in advance and I was so excited to get my first tattoo. However, when I arrived for my appointment I was told Rudy had just stepped out. Seriously, my appointment was scheduled over 3 weeks ago and PAID, they didn't even apologized but instead told me maybe I should go have lunch or something and come back because he had just left for an appointment. This exciting moment turned out to be a total waste of money and my time away from work. How careless and unprofessional of this place and the tattoo artist!  I would never recommend this place to anyone I know and should have read the Yelp comments here first before even going in to pay for an appointment! I got a "sideburn" piercing by Monica last year, the placement was off. The jewelry used wasn't the "best" for that specific piercing meaning it would reject because of that alone. Months later, it still won't heal and caused a nasty purple bump that bled and bled. I asked a professional piercer for advice on the piercing and said t was best to take it out and get it redone by someone who is knowledgeable in the "sideburn" surface piercing. Got my nipples pierced here a week ago and was unsatisfied about the placement. I'm currently in LA for vacation so I stopped by a reputable piercing shop and had the pierced take a look. She mentioned to me a couple of things: first, the placement was completely off. Too deep and wasn't even on my nipple but on my arreola. Second, the jewelry was low grade. And third, this piercer did NOT know what they were doing. She advised me to take them out and let it heal for 3 months and repierce again. Sad to say that I should've learned my first time around since this was my second time going to her for my nipple piercings. I would rather drive 300 miles than come back to her. Read Less

I came here back in October and received a Christina piercing which I loved that's why I went back to see Mon. When I came in late January/early February this year to see Mon again for a daith and lip piercing it was HORRIBLE! After my daith was pierced my ear felt numb within an hour like I was punched in the ear. My lip was ok, a little numb as well. The next day my right side jaw was numb as well as the left side of my face down to my chin. I contacted Mon and she said for me to go back, but if she had messed up I was scared to go back. I went to another piercer who let me know my daith was pierced too close to the front of my ear and the earring was crooked and bent! As for my lip, the bar was too short not allowing my lip to swell. I decided to take out both. Once the daith piercing was taken out, all the pressure in my face was released and I felt so much better and the numbness went away. I WONT BE GOING BACK AGAIN. got my tragus pierced there a couple months ago. the swelling never went away even tho i clean it properly everyday. The lady pierced it crooked and the bar was way too short! the ball ended up coming off so i went into another shop to get it put back on. the bar was so short and so tight the balls on it ended up making indents in my ear and the piercer at the other place couldn't even get the ball back on and ended up having to switch it to a way longer post. the indents where filled with fluid and it was so hard for her to get the new post in because it was pierced so crooked!! definitely don't recommend this place. Looked into getting a tattoo and a piercing. They didnt have the piercer who would do that piercing I wanted, but they did get me in contact with someone who did. I thought that was great service because it didnt benefit them to send me away. With that level of service I would for sure trust these people to give me a tattoo. If there was a 0 star it'd be more realistic. This place is trash. Everyone was SO rude and glared while I was walking in. I just got a cartilage piercing there a week ago and the ball had fell off so I went back to get one. He said he will sell it to me for $2 and I would have to put it in. While he was trying to figure out which size I had he dropped the ball he was selling me and proceeded to sell it to me still without sterilizing it. I don't recommend this place at all. I searched around and went to Most Wanted Tattoo and Piercing off of Blackstone and it was $15 cheaper and if you buy the earring which is $2-$5 there they will change your piercing for you. I have been here twice to have work done by Lety. I had her first cover up an old tattoo I got in my early 20s (when I was young and stupid). She did such a great job and had so much personality that I came back to her when I wanted my other "young and stupid" tattoo covered. (Read: I don't believe all tattoos gotten in your 20s are stupid, lol but mine were.) Lety had very reasonable prices for her work, and she's very kind and friendly. I have been going to Clovis Ink for Years and have walked out very pleased. I think Rudy did his 1st portrait on my arm of my dad. Infact that whole arm is dedicated to my dad all in color. Birds, cattle, sheep, dogs and dad.. I get the most complements on that arm for the colors. It looks as bright as the day he did it. I have 1 on my leg someone else did and faded with in 2 yrs. Every shop I've gone to to help replace a piercing that has fallen out has done it for free, with me bringing my own piercing in, of course. It takes like two seconds. This place charged me $10. Paid $400 for an outline of 5 roses, Super said we were doing 4 sessions, each $400. The first session was only one hour. I realized we could have done more with my tattoo to shorten the sessions. I called Super the next day and asked to negotiate the price since he said my tattoo consisted of 5 roses and a bunch of black leaves I felt that it was okay to cut out one session so I can safe $400. I told him I'm not able to pay $1,600 that tattoo, he gave me no option and made it clear that even if we cut out one session the price will remain the same then made an insulting comment, made me very uncomfortable to go back to him and expose my body again, very unprofessional! Then I contacted the owner of the shop Rudy and he acted like he cared, as soon as I asked if he could help me because Super had made me feel uncomfortable, he ignored my message. Got my ears pierced. The needle was packaged and sterile. The girl who did my piercings was professional, skillful, hygienic and did  them just as I wanted. I'm satisfied in general. I did have to ask about aftercare but that's not too big of a deal for me as I had an idea of what to do. Read Less

Do NOT go here!! They are dirty, unprofessional, and plain ghetto. My cousin and I got matching tattoos there and they BOTH ended up infected and gross and looking like a prison tattoo! Please note that I have a total of 12 tattoos and this is not my first rodeo but I have NEVER had a tattoo heal like this with actual CRATERS and deep HOLES in my skin and an infection. "Super" ended up doing mine even though I made an appointment with "Lety". This girl had the audacity to make two appointments and cancel mine halfway though my cousins appointment saying "we're closing you can come back or I can have my homeboy do it" Who does that?! You can't stay late for appointments YOU made?! Meanwhile "super" dug into my skin so hard he left me with bruises. We only came here because my cousin was in from out of state and we wanted to get something matching for the sake of being together at the time and we both ended up with awful work that we may or may not need prescribed antibiotics for. Also....Lety was extremely rude and acted like we were bothering her the whole time. She came out with the "cleaned up" sketches and both were crooked as hell and she acted like we were Insane for asking for her to fix it before they were permanently etched into our skin. My husband and I went into Clovis Ink last week with the intention of my husband getting a full forearm tattoo. When we walked in there were 4 people sitting behind the counter and only one of them looked up but none of them said Hi or anything at all. We spent about 15 minutes looking through their books and still no one bothered to pay any attention to us. My husband went up to the counter to ask a question and they rudely responded and made it seem that we were an annoyance to them and provided absolutely no help at all. At this point we left. Prior we had gone to Red Wave Tattoo and the price they provided for what he wanted seemed a little too high which caused us to go check out Clovis Ink. Due to the lack of any customer service and the way my husband was treated for asking a simple question, we decided we would rather pay the little extra for a place where the people at least acknowledged us. me and my husband got two tattoos, we walked in and they told us that the next availability would be later on that day, which was understandable because we just walked in. when we came in at later for our appointment the artist was running a little late and kept popping in to apologize which was most appreciative the other artistes were really nice. after about an hour of waiting we finally got to be seen. unfortunately the two tattoos on my husband took a little longer than expected and I had to come back the next day. but even though things didn't go exactly as planned I still give this place 5 starts because the customer service here is superb!! and not to mention the tattoos came out looking amazing! Earlier this year I went in to have a medium sized tattoo on my right arm by Rudy, and it turned out fantastic, wouldn't change a thing. When I got there for my appointment, Rudy was tied up with another client, and I had to wait a little longer than expected; but he insisted I grab a drink on the house to make up for the wait. I love this place! I have gotten all my tattoos done here and some of my piercings: tongue, left side bottom lip, and my left nipple. They are very clean and the artists are very friendly. My only problem is every woman employed to work the register that I have encountered over the years seems to be hired for her looks, not experience, knowledge, or friendliness. I had a lip piercing done for $25 and paid with two 20s and the girl have me attitude because there wasn't enough small bills in the register to give me my change. Also, she have me attitude for not having an appointment even though I never have needed one for a piecing. They were not very friendly when I went in for a piercing years ago. I don't know if the piercer from back then, but 4 years ago I went to go get my nose pierced and the man who pierced my nose took an hour to get the room ready (helping other customers that walked in 1/2 an hour after me before I made it in the room) and when he finally was ready, he just asked if I had pierced my nose before, I said yes, so he pierced my nose and accepted the money and that was it.
