My daughter got her nose pierced today, she was super nervous but Mr. Nismo explained everything and kept making sure she was okay. He made sure she understood the procedure and she felt comfortable. They do ok work but..but they charge way to much I got a bible quote tattoo on my arm  and they took 4 hours and they charged me 350 bucks for my tattoo.it came out ok.I went to other tattoo shops they said that tattoo can be done with 200 bucks.I went to multiple shops..and the guy that did my tattoo was a cool guy he said he would stop the clock when we take breaks he never did stop the clock so I was getting over charger big time will not be going to this shop anymore..and its kinda dirty inside..they gave me a free shirt at least.before getting a tattoo look around for prices  before getting a tattoo here that was my mistake. Hi Def Tattoo rocks.   Sam Scott is the man to see.   He is straight forward and honest.   He'll tell you if he can/will do ink for you or not.   He did an amazing job on a chest piece (Batman) that I needed fixed.   I made the horrible mistake of going to not just one but two other artists.  The first guy was a failure and that's how it started.   Then the second guy,  young kid just starting out continued the disaster.   Then finally I met Sam Scott at Hi Def.   Wow,  what an incredible job he did.  Well worth every penny.   Plus he made a custom heart piece he put on my girl.   We are both extremely pleased with his professionalism and attention to detail.  Huge thumbs up. This review is from a few months ago, however their amazing service has not been forgotten. So I had an appointment scheduled at another tattoo shop for my brother who is 19 years old, so he could get his first tattoo. Once we walked in the other tattoo shop they refused to tattoo him simply because, "he had Down syndrome and it could be a liability".Despite me saying he had no other health conditions and he was able to communicate what he wanted. My brother and I went from being excited to us both walking out in tears. I am still shocked and surprised how common it is for people to treat him unfairly. It was a horrible feeling and the same thing happened at another tattoo shop as well.. It was so sad to see his smile turn to tears each time..So when we walked into HI- DEF INK TATTOO STUDIO we didn't have much hope.. However,they treated him AMAZING, they even complimented him on his bravery. The guy who tattooed him told me something like "just because he has Down syndrome doesn't mean he's not a person". He talked to my brother and treated him the way he deserved to be treated. Other employees took the time to go over and talk to him and compliment him on his bravery. They even gave him a free T shirt and welcomed him back anytime. My brother smiled and said "no hurt, YAY!" He had wanted that tattoo since he was 13 to honor our mother who had passed away. It meant so0o much to him and to me. They are truly amazing, kindhearted guys working there. Thank you!! I don't remember the name of the tattoo artist but I posted a picture in the picture section. This place is absolutely fantastic. I was a hella late last minute walk in and my artist (Jon) was super gracious and wonderful. The cost was very reasonable ($80 which is shop minimum). Sad to say. I was recommended to this shop by a good friend who received multiple tattoos. After multiple attempts to schedule with Stephen,  with the help of a mutual friend,  Appt was set. I  messaged a reminder that I  would be in, message back to postpone 30 minutes.  Less than 3 hours before my appointment I received a cancellation! I get an hourly wage and turned down the rare opportunity to work overtime because of my commitment to the appointment! My time is valuable, just like any other customer! I went here to get my septum pierced and i definitely dont recommend this place for PIERCINGS (tatts are a different subject). Basically they messed up and had to re-pierce the same spot that he just pierced by "free-handing" it cause thats what he said was needed instead of using a clamp. ive spoken to experienced tattoo artist that pierce as well and they basically told me he did everything wrong. And i could tell, after he pierced my nose it came out crooked and was bleeding alot and then after he pierced it the second time he pierced it too low and gave me a huge ass piercing that was hanging over my top lip. Loved this place, I got my nose pierced about 2 weeks ago, I can't remember the guy's name who assisted me, but he was cool he did a great job, my nose bleed a lot due to a nerve that was hit, he was concerned he helped calm the bleeding, and gave me instructions on after care, I've been doing what he told me to, and I love the outcome, I will be coming back for my next tattoo! I came in here wanting to get my nose pierced and this was the place I came to seeing it was closest to me and had good reviews. I come in, get my nose pierced and was told I can come back after 3 weeks to switch it out to a nose ring since that's what I wanted. I come in and the piercer isn't there and I find out he's only there like 3 times a week so I went to a different place to buy a ring since I didn't really wanna wait. When I go to the other place, the piercer tells me the ring won't fit snug since it wasn't really pierced at the right spot and said he would order a smaller size since they didn't have it and to call back next week. I call back a week later to find out he didn't even place the order for it, so again, I went to a different place that had the ring on hand. I had taken the stud out the night before to clean the area around the piercing since it was flakey and dry and I wake up with a bump over the spot that was pierced. I go to this new place and explained my situation and they told me it's infected because you're not supposed to take out the piercing or switch it out for at least 3-4 months. Naturally, I don't know much about piercings so I put my trust in the piercer. I paid about $45 at this place to get my nose pierced and had to pay another $42 at the other place to get the piercing "stretched" and repierced along with better jewelry since the one I got from here wasn't that great. Not only that, but I was told to wash my piercing with antibacterial soup and the other place where I got repierced, you're not supposed to. So I dropped $45 here just to get an infected piercing. It seems to me they don't know what they're doing. Complete waste of my money and time. Read Less

I just did a 4 hour session yesterday with Stephen, who I believe is somewhat new to this shop.  He was so awesome and respectful and pleasant to work with during what was a pretty excruciating and also very "exposed" session.  The design he drew for my cover up was beautiful.  I love it and so does my hubby. :) Everyone else in the shop was super chill and friendly -- both of the owners, and another artist named Jon, and a lady (sorry didn't catch her name). They were all encouraging to me during the session.  It has been 12 years since my last tattoo -- so I felt basically like a newbie all over again, but no one made me feel out of place. This place does not have the same unwelcoming vibe as I have gotten at some shops. I am looking forward to my next session to start some shading and color! I first came here about March of 2014 for a tattoo. Jon did my tattoo. I loved his work. Came back last Friday to have a very special  tattoo done. Of course I asked Jon to do it. The tat is everything I wanted. I have gotten so many compliments on my tat over the last week. The shop is clean and everyone is so very nice . So far so good. It was a $60 tat. Shop minimum. But the place is clean. Seems organized. John Bryan did my tattoo. It was simple as all shit. But he did the job. I'm not the easiest to tattoo. I start swearing and sweating as soon as I hear the buzz... But it's a rush. I like how it came out. John did a few draw ups. But I just wanted real plain. He did it. Took bout 20 mins. No hassle. In and out in bout 45 mins. The draw ups took longer than tat. Overall I would come back. The guy that owns this place is named Sam. A cool younger dude. Hope you stay in business and successful. Moved to the area last year, so I didn't know who to go to for a good quality tattoo. Of course, I turned to yelp and came across Hi-Def Ink. After reading about Sam and checking out his work on the shop's website, I decided he was the guy for the job. I e-mailed him, a phone call probably would have been better, it took a while for him to respond. Nonetheless, he contacted me back and I went to the shop for my consult. Sam is a really nice guy, he was super cool about me bringing my kids along for the consult. We scheduled my appointment to return a few of weeks later to get the tat done. I came back and was very pleased with the outcome! He did an amazing job!! He also finished the tat way sooner than I thought he would, which was great for me since he charges by the hour. I messaged Sam Scott about doing a half sleeve for me in 2011, he was recommended to me by my cousin. I told him my ideas and he was pretty excited to do my tattoo. After 3 sessions I was left with an amazing piece of art on my arm that I have been absolutely in love with! (a picture has been posted here already, its black and grey koi and water and the lotuses are pink and purple on the outside and yellow and orange on the inside). I pretty much gave Sam creative freedom, my only instructions were that it be bright pops of color, Japanese, and there has to be orange in it. I let the artist do what he does best and I got an awesome tattoo out of it.  My tattoo has held up great and I'll definitely see Sam again should I need another tattoo....which I so do. Read Less
