The first time I came here with my grandfather for a tattoo we walked in to see three people just shooting the #%^* just eating lunch. I asked if there was a tattoo Arron's there and they said he was out getting supplies. Why would they be open if there was no one there to even do any work. We decided on big daddy tattoo instead. After that my sister wanted a tattoo in memory of my grandfather who had just past away. It was of a anchor of my design which was tattooed on my grandfather. It took her an hour to draw it up and get prepped. For a American traditional tattoo, that was a long amount of time. And a hour later she was finally done. The quality was ok but the amount of people that were just hanging out in the back like this is a club was just too much. If you want a place to just hang, this is the place to be I guess. If you want a professional place to get a great tattoo, I would not recommend this location. The female tattoo artist was nice and good and should no longer work there. Read Less

I've gotten both my cartilages done by Lance (who no longer works here) & nasal pierced by O'Neil(?) here, and each visit I was properly and thoroughly taken care of! Don't get pierced by guns, it may be pricier to go to professionals but your health should always be considered before price!! Stopped by on a Thursday night to consult with Jessica. Made an appointment with her for the next day at 7pm. She promised to have something drawn up by then. I showed up at 7pm sharp and she tells me to come back in an hour because she's not finished with a client. I was upset that the original appointment wasn't honored but I let it go cause I just wanted my tattoo. I come back an hour later and she tells me to wait another 40 mins or come back another day. I asked her to see what was already drawn up and she says she didn't even start on it yet. I cleared my entire night for this so I just wasted my f***** time at this place.Some advice: Be true to your word and honor your appointments. Don't give your customers a time estimate you're not gonna honor or get more experience where you know how long your work is gonna take. Read Less

Waited over 4 hours on a "2 hour" wait period. No organization, rhyme or reason for the patrons being served. People that came in hours after us were seen and finished before we eventually were fed up with the BS and lies from the people behind the counter. We were told that a certain  artist "didn't want to do certain deaigns". What kind of crap is that? Read Less

Just wasted 4 hours at this place on a flash friday here. All 6 of us signed in at 5:30pm, expecting a wait and we were told people were being seen on a first come first serve basis. So we settled in and waited.  After 3 hours we started to see people who signed in long after we did going back for their tattoos. We asked what was going on and we were told that artists were just picking names at random and not following the sign in list. A girl behind the counter apologized and said we would be next, then they continue to call back people wo are on the second sign in sheet. We were at the top of the first one. Names below ours were crossed off the sign in sheet as people were called back. There was absolutely no organization what so ever. At the 4 hour mark my sister asked why we were still being passed over only to be told that some artists didn't want to do certain tattoos. We're talking flash art here people, not complicated full body peices. Hearts, clovers, freaking skulls and so on. Considering all the positive reviews this place has, I am extremely disappointed.In response to the comment (the exact same one that you also left on my husband's review. Word for word.), yes you did call our names several times and we were right there and responded to every single one only to be told they just wanted to make sure we were still there, which we were. And yes, it was busy, but that is no excuse for having absolutely no semblance of organization what so ever.  We will not be returning. Read Less

Got my 2nd tattoo by Jessica who just moved to this shop. She is a legit artist who can take an idea I give her and make an original piece of artwork. I'm very happy with her work and I'm already planning my next piece while this one heals. She's super professional and a bit of a perfectionist-- both traits you want on someone permanently applying ink on your body. The shop is mostly dudes but they were all friendly and welcoming. Love madball tattoos! Always wanted my nipples pierced since high school, now that I'm almost nearing 30 i decide to get them. Also convinced my buddy to get his done (initially he was gonna do one but he got both ) We set an appointment at 10 which is when they open. We actually requested at 5 am the morning of, and I have to say, very professional and prompt with responding to the request. Shop overall looks DOPE! Really amazing canvas paintings and pictures tatts etc, and the back is where the tattoo and piercing is done. Looked very clean and sanitary with all sanitation products there. (When i intially stepped in, it dawned on me that ive been here before to watch my other buddy get his leg tatted by Cyril.. i have to say really really bomb artist).Lance is the piercer. He is definitely an experienced piercer. I have very low tolerance for pain, however I was the least nervous compared to my buddy. Lance was very cool and calm, which helped with my friends nerves and i guess mine cuz i didnt feel neevous even as he was about to pierce my nipples. It was quick, i cant really say it was painless cuz i was a little b*tch  but it was done efficiently even as i squirmed. It has been 3 days now since we got them pierced and they look great! Cleaned them 3 times a day like he instructed and i mean i cant keep my shirt on (i already have an issue with that since i lift and i'm gay ).. Lastly gotta say, price is the best around OC/LB/LA area. My research led me to find prices to vary from as low as $40 per nipple as high as $80 per nipple (maybe higher). I paid $80 for both piercings which invcluded the jewelery. Other shops will say piercing for 25-30 dollars but you end up having to also buy the jewelery for 30-40 dollars so yea.. I'm not the smartest and i don't really like doing math.. however that sounds pretty expensive to me Overall price, service and the outcome was 100% phenomenal! If I have anymore piercings I want done, I'm coming back Lance for sure! Read Less

I have been waiting almost 2 months to write this review. I got my tongue pierced May 4th of this year by a guy which I forgot his name but he was very cool! I went in told him what I wanted and he informed me what was going to happen, informative overall. Placement was perfect, barbell was long enough for swelling and he made me feel comfortable as soon as I sat, my tongue healed really quick and I had no complications! I took my sister with me also and her nose piercing came out well and healed well. All in all I recommend this place! Read Less

Not the type to really leave reviews but obviously the artist doesn't care how his lack of commitment to his word and unfinished product impacts me so I could care less how my review impacts the shop. Didn't have the best experience here. At first I could appreciate the professionalism, quite friendly and his patience towards my pain tolerance was amazing. Though my tattoo was a process which I even offered to pay for the extra needles if I needed to, it took longer than necessary because I was constantly rescheduled due to personal reasons, being booked by people who scheduled AFTER me or just flat out ignored. I was understanding and patient for the longest. Even after completely healing and agreeing on a day and time to finish months later, I was still rescheduled and ignored after personally expressing, that's not okay. Now I again have to go to someone else to finish someone else's work. If that's how this shop treats their clients, I'd never come back or recommend anyone else. One of my best friend and I decided to get matching tattoos! We're both pisces so we decided the get our zodiac sign. The simple one of course. Anyways, my friend knew someone that works there so she made an appointment for both of us. We met up at the place. Parking should be easy. Once inside, we just showed the picture to the tattoo artist. His name was Tuna. The whole process was pretty short! It took about 15-20 minutes for each of us. It was my first tattoo. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect! I was soooo nervous and lowkey scared as shit. But it turned out okay. It did hurt but it's something I can handle. I'm sad to write this because the reviews are so good and I was so excited to come here. When I arrived it took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge I was there and it's not like everyone was assisting other customers. Some were on the computer to speaking to each other. Then finally I was helped. I explained what I wanted and was told to text pictures of it and a sketch would be designed. It's been a month and I have not received a response. I scoped out a few shops but decided to go to MadBall since it's in my city. The artists are friendly, the shop is clean, comfortable and appealing. Mike did the work very nicely and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Plus, the price wasn't bad. I will definitely be returning soon for more ink. Read Less

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! From the time I called the shop on Thursday Tuna made it all so welcoming.  I went in to see him the same day to inquire about pricing.  His pricing was well reasonable and very affordable.  It was for my fiancé and me. I was able to set an appointment for the following Monday (today). I tell yah he was very accommodating as I've worked with other artists before and they made it hard to book a time even if I had to travel far to them.  On the plus side the shop is about 10 mins away from my house. My fiancé and I got there right on the dot and Tuna gave us some docs to sign...the usual for legality purposes. I must say he was very patient as well since the size had to be changed for my fiancé and me. Tuna took his time doing the tattoos and the aftermath was a super nice looking dragon on my fiancé's shoulder. Given my fiancé works graveyard shift Tuna said I could take him home to sleep and come back to do mine. I returned to the shop and Tuna started on mine. After it was done it was way better than I thought it would be. Loved the work he did on it. Plus he was able to put on my 3rd daughter's name to match up with the existing tat I had. I was super happy as this truly completes the names of my kids to the tat I have on my upper back (had the 3rd girl after I did the tat)! Looking forward to more work done by Tuna. Watch out Tuna...you're going to have us as loyal clients!  Lol! Thank you and I couldn't say how happy I am with the work you've done!!! All go see Tuna!! You won't be disappointed. Went to several different tattoo shops trying to get a cover up done. Some said they could t do it, some tried to kill me for more elaborate tattoo to get me to pay more, and some just were plain sleazy. Madballs has a great vibe and you feel it when you walk in as place is clean and well put together. The artist are cool and no pressure. I met Michael Rivas who immediately said he could do what I wanted and gave me a price way below anyone else. He showed me his previous work and I booked him immediately. Just finished and I couldn't be more happy with the work. Receiving tons of compliments and people wanting referrals. Got a tattoo from here last weekend. It wasn't packed so I was able to be seen right away. Good customer service and the tattoo is now on of my favorites (I have 11). They even give you a free touch up within the month if needed. They give you after care instructions. I would come back especially because they are located right next to my hair salon. One small Down side is that it can get crowded in the parking lot on weekends because there is a mini mart, hair salon, cleaners, and barber shop on the same complex. Read Less

Came for wedding bands but was suggested to just get initials because they would fade. Glad we were given that advice. We don't want just anyone to give us what we want. We want something nice because it's meaningful to us, & he offered that to us in a very professional manner.The guy who did our tats did a great job & for my first tattoo it was a good experience. He also was the only one to offer customer service, which was very good.Only issue is one of the artists there is very perverted and said some really inappropriate and disrespectful things which I am still bothered about. I have a very open mind and sense of humor but he took it way too far & once I was out the shop he said something even more disgusting to my husband which regards cheating & goes against our marriage. So apparently they don't do a lot of cute tattoo's but oh well lol its good practice for them. Not that they need it because my tattoo came out AMAZING!! It is my first tattoo and i was a little bit nervous but Oakie, with his quirky humor made me laugh and helped me relax. Surprisingly did not hurt at all and was very quick, I couldn't have been more happy with the results! it came out way better than i imagined in my head and has healed very quickly.
