He is nice, professional and cares about his work. This review is for John. My experience being tatted by hime was wonderful. Currently, his availability is great - no waiting list out for months ahead of time. I emailed him my idea and some reference photos, then walked into the shop to talk with him a little more and schedule an appointment for later that same week. I love what he drew for me (gorgeous roses). He works quickly, and we outlined and colored both my shoulders in one sitting (about 3.5 hours). He was very pleasant to chat with during that time. He's got a real grounded, calm kind of energy. He asks for feedback and opinions, and also makes suggestions about what seems best to get the desired effect in the tattoo. And after the tattoo heals, he'll touch up any areas that need a little more work.Some of the salon staff stopped by from time to time to admire his work, and they are really pleasant as well. My first time visit turned out to be quite an unexpected treat. I've been living in the Bay area for about 7 years now, but have been getting my hair done twice a year in LA because I haven't found a regular hairstylist (partially because I've moved a lot since). Also, I'm pretty picky because there's so many "stylists" who fake it til they make it and think they can charge whatever they want. Fernanda is no fake. She's passionate and takes her craft very seriously. I love her method of taking on a new client and getting to know and understand their needs. I wanted a 1940's wedding hairstyle and this place immediately came to mind. Anyplace that has pinup girls all over the walls is a promising start for vintage hair.I called months in advance to see if any stylists could provide a vintage style for me. The woman I spoke to was out of my price range, but she immediately recommended Fernanda. I decided to do a trial run for my hair and brought a picture of what I wanted. Fernanda booked plenty of time for my hair trial, and I wasn't totally stoked on the final product, but that's what trials are for, right? We talked over what changes I wanted to make and she made a couple of modifications and took some pictures and some notes. (Note: she charges the same for a trial as she does for the wedding day, but it's a reasonable price and it's the exact same amount of work, if not more. So brides, just make sure you have that in your budget!)The day of my wedding, she (again) booked plenty of time. I found out that she took the time to practice on her sister a few days previous! I found myself smiling more and more as the hairstyle started to come together. She took her time and made sure it was perfect, not rushing and doing pieces again if needed to get it just right. She asked for my input for the placement of my bangs. I walked out with a style that was perfectly "me," exactly how I always pictured it.The hairstyle had a billion pins and plenty of hairspray, but you could barely tell. It stayed solidly all night at a wedding with swing dancing!I took off one star because she had a flat extra charge for doing hair outside of the salon, even though the place I wanted to get ready was only a couple of blocks away. I would have accepted and extra charge but it seemed like too much and she didn't take it down, but it only provided a minor inconvenience since we were so close, so no biggie! Also, my hair did take a while, which I had expected and booked for (and it resulted in a perfect and intricate updo) but if you want a rush job, decide on something simpler or book someone else. Best salon in the area! Cheri is the most amazing color stylist around. I tend to go very brassy. She is able to get great blonde in my hair in the first round. All the other stylists are very talented as well. The salon is fun. Espresso, wine, and snacks are always available for the clients! And you can buy great products there, such as Morroccan Oil! He's very professional, gentle, super clean, wonderful artist... basically can't rave about the experiences with him enough. When it's something you plan to have on your body forever, you need someone that is top notch. He has now embellished and extended what was once a crappy butterfly tattoo into a gorgeous one with flowers up half my back. My hair color is perfect and she makes sure I leave looking like a million bucks....or so, LoL.Love the fact that this place not only does hair but they have a tat artist as well. Every employee in this establishment is so nice. They all make you feel welcome and offer you water. It is so clean in there you really could think they don't have much clientele but best believe they do. I've seen people come and go. And never seen anybody leave unhappy.Best place hands down for me. And I've been around the block or two in this area to find a hairdresser that can handle all this hair. Anytime I want to change my hairstyle or color she works with me to accomplish a great look but also keeps my hair healthy. Their prices are reasonable and the environment is fun and hip! Depending on the time of day you go in it can be busy but they always work with you and make you feel at home!I can also vouch for their styling as well, given I hired them for my wedding. Cheri and her team came to my home the day of my wedding and took care of myself, my bridesmaids and my mom. This is my first review so bear with me. So I was looking to do something new with my hair that hasn't been cut for sometime and colored in who knows how long. I was recommended by a friend at the gym to check this place out and referred me to Lorenzo. Okay....fast forward another year an now I'm really seriously thinking about cut and color. Talk to some coworkers and one coworker highly recommended Lorenzo as well. Okay game for me. My friend calls for me and within a matter of a  day he calls me back and I'm all set for cut and color.Fast forward a week on a Wednesday afternoon, a rather warm day, walked in to the place having absolutely no clue to what to do so I just showed myself a seat and waited. Within that matter of time waiting the lovely people were quite nice offering water, hence the warm day, and were overall very upbeat people. Oh, added note the interior decor had such a modern/retro feel to it. Nice touch.The big deal for me comes up and to sum it up in a nutshell I was really impressed with Lorenzos work and the keen eye for the style he gave me. I provided him with the details I wanted and he did nothing short but delivered. Gave me a great cut and the subtle color of purple I was looking for. (next time around I will probably take the plunge and go bold...)A first experience that went superbly well for me. Took his time and made me feel comfortable. Allowed him to focus on what he does best with occassional good conversation. I have been going to Cheri for about 3 years now....She gives me highlights and haircuts every three months. I have very long, curly hair and she really does a great job at it. She is the only person that I have gone to that when she styles my hair, I don't have to run home and redo it.She is going to be opening up her own, brand new shop where she will also have tattooing, I can't wait for her to be able to be in her own space. She has been looking for SO LONG and she deserves this. I now live in San Francisco and I cannot image going anywhere else.
