Very comfortable and he always plays good music.Eddie's done my rook, conch, nostril, and bellybutton piercings as well as my first tattoo on my ribs and he's done a great job.He'll tell you exactly how it is, what the pain will be like, and whether or not your piercing or tattoo is in a good location but will always have you make the final call.He definitely knows his stuff! I read some of the reviews on this place, and, boy do people judge books by a cover. I went in and talked to Eddie. He's a friendly guy once you start talking to him. We struck up a good conversation. He kept my mind occupied during my session. Some people can't look past his tattoos I guess. The funny thing is, they're in a tattoo shop asking for a tattoo, and they're judging him for his tattoos. He did good work on my arm, and he's reasonably priced. I'll be back soon. Thanks, Eddie. I've had two bad experiences here with the bald man (I believe he's the owner). I came in w/ my parents years back when I was about 13 to get my nose pierced and he kept making rude comments to my parents saying that it's weird that they're letting me get my nose done b/c of my age. He didn't let me ask any questions. He said "Just stop asking questions and let me do it" very rudely. A few days after I came back in b/c he didn't pierce it right an it was too loose... he was very upset that he had to "fix it" and just told me that it is what it is. Years later at the age of 18, I come in to ask a few questions about prices and he shut me down completely and made me feel stupid. I'm a very patient person and will give anyone the benefit of the doubt but I walked out and I won't ever be walking back in. The atmosphere is bad vibes and too crowded. It never looks sanitary enough... I'd recommend Artistic Element in Yucaipa over Living Canvas any day. They don't seem to care about their customers much. Read Less

Went in today for a Daith piercing and was very Happy with the service and my piercing. He was friendly and professional and I'm totally white so these other reviews must have more to the story that's not being shared. I'm so happy I came to this shop! I of course called around and looked at other yelp reviews to try to find the best ones. I ended up going with my gut which was this place. Eddie was fair in price and very very easy to talk to. I'm usually shy but he made me feel very comfortable. I was able to tell him the reason behind my tattoo which was very personal and he completely understood. I'll definitely be going back and having Eddie do any other ink I plan on getting done! Piercer isn't professional at all, told me he doesn't care how other piercers pierce, he does it his own way when I mentioned he was using a piercing I had never seen before. He pierced my triages with a hollow needle and couldn't follow through with it, he had to have another work come help him. All around a horrible experience with rude customer service. Not to mention I paid $50 which is pretty unreasonable. Blasted music and turned off the lights as soon as I paid him. Won't be returning. Read Less

I walked In to get my ear pierced(cartilage and second lob). Both earrings rusted which made the healing process very uncomfortable. The cartilage earring broke in two and go stuck. Such a horrific time. I don't recommend this place. Read Less

I went in today (walk in) because last night i decided on a whim i wanted some fresh ink. I designed my own tat last night and walked in today and Eddie the tattoo artist did a beautiful job of taking my design and making it even more pretty! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new  ink job! The people there are super cool! But I got my belly button pierced & they grabbed too much skin, which made my ring reject. I told them about it they redid it & just put a bigger ring. But after it healed I couldn't wear normal rings & now I have a nasty scar. It happened to a few of my friends also. Then again some of my friends came out fine so it just depends. Read Less

Any place that allows any person to ink without doing any artwork before is? I've been to places were the artwork was hart do get and that never seems to turn out well.. I understand the friendly community that the " ink industry " can be but ink is permanent and should be treated seriously. Ive seen people who have 20 tattoos' get the 21st - a direct opposite of " I know what you mean!". These ink TV shows are way behind in times, I think we've made it too easy for any idiot to get a gun and drill. There ISNT enough regulation in the industry, is there. girls / guys no difference a personality is nice but proof of talent starts with seeing what the individual draws during their "spare" time. Does your next artist think they can imagine what's inside your head. Make'm prove it. And a small book means they only show you the stuff that kind of worked out, I want to see it all I think they should "have to".Minus 6 stars. Read Less

MInus - 5 Stars! I WOULD NOT RECOMend these people. I hate what they turened out on me. I asked for them to ADD not to TAKE AWAY, or Blur out anything. I specifically asked to NOT cover anything. I came back to Baumont to have some work finished when someone else started without the artwork neccesary to get what "I" wanted. Instead all I heard was " I know what YOU mean". When they knew the problem with what I had started and ended because It was all without a drawing of what I asked for. Now all I see is a mess, I can't wear a tank top for the rest of my life because I trusted " I know what YOu mean"!?. I believed it because I had been corrosponding back and forth with this shop for 6 months! Asking for delicate, femanine and colorfull. Also I was scheduled 1 week apart for sessions. To find out that proffessionals schedule 4-6 weeks apart to work on the same area to avoid skin infections and excessive pain! As a novice I didn't know that, I trusted someone working in a shop to know that, I trusted tthat people with basic understanding to know that, Not be greedy to encourage people to encourage to stay dispite pain threashold and pocket limitations. If I didn't have enough stress staying I thought that the kindness and seeminly genuine personality that brought me back in which at the first appointment was "flaked off"with some aparent lie. The personality is what brought me back, the corospondence all about what I wanted / what I wanted! To have an employee who's small works should have added up to a good big piece... well lets just say that logic didn't work out. AND to hear " I offered to _to let you look_? is like a barber offering to let you look after starting W/ clippers!? Right.Don't give these people your money! Read Less

GREAT SHOP,GREAT ARTIST'S I 've gotten about 50 percent of my body tattooed by RIOT she is the best!!! great people skill, very clean and an awesome artist and wonderful friend. Very clean shop just great overall fun to hang out at .Don't just take my word for it go check out RIOT & EDDIE'S work both are wonderful artist's great color, black & grey etc. I've never felt more at home then at this shop. I don't know what this other review is all about but honestly how can you trust someone's word if they don't even know how to spell anything right lol. Plus they bash to different artist's at to different shop's maybe it's just you. This review is mainly for their tattoo artist Edward Guillen or "Eddie." I came in on a whim one Saturday night after work. I dunno, I just had an itching for an etching. I yelped a few places around the area and I found living canvas to be the closest, almost got pulled over by popos coz the speed limit was a friggin 30mph and the shop was close to a police station and the town city hall. I go in and I see one guy workin on this customer, he asks me right away if I needed any help, I told him I wanted to get a tattoo but I didn't know what to get, so he told me to just browse around and take a look at the sketch books to see if I find anything I like and so I did. After about 15min I found my design so I tell the guy  I'm ready. He calls Eddie who was in the back doin some sketches. First impression of Eddie was I thought he was gonna beat the shit out of me, but that's why you never judge people by how they look. Eddie has good customer service skills, listens to his customers requests and most importantly a good tattoo artist. He was precise, asked if the placement was right, made small talk while working on my tattoo and he was surprisingly light handed which I really didn't expect, I mean I barely even felt the needle. When Eddie finished my tattoo I was absolutely stoked coz it turned out amazing. I'm looking for more sketches online so I can go back and have Eddie etch my skin. Read Less
