I found out about Matt through a friend when I was getting a portrait of my dog done when he passed. Matt is a funny guy and Brandon the owner is right there with him. AHHH! It's so different watching someone get a tattoo done in real life versus watching tv shows! My friend wanted to get a small heart on her wrist and I had to tag along! I've always wanted to watch it get done in real life because I was into those tattoo war tv shows and they were always so interesting to me. Brandon was awesome! He was very thorough and explained the process and how to clean afterwards, even though my friend has 3 other tattoos. He was careful with all the tools he used and genuinely cared about us. It only took him a  few minutes to draw the heart and on the first try too! My friend fell in love instantly. The whole process took probably 15 minutes or less (including the consultation) and she paid $100 for the tattoo. The place is so clean. I've been on the fence about getting a tattoo for the last three years. However, I finally decided to get one and Matt, my tattoo artist, was very helpful. I was very nervous at first, being that this was my first tattoo and reading online about the pain. There was definitely some pain, but it is not unbearable. SO GLAD WE WENT HERE! I've got absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Matt and Brandon were welcoming, funny, and willing to help us with any questions that we had. We didn't technically have an appointment, but we called ahead and they accommodated us as soon as we walked in the door! The process of sketching was quick and they produced designs with ease  that matched just what we wanted. It was so quick and perfect, that my mom even jumped in with a last minute tattoo -- who woulda thought! HahaI did an infinity sign on my foot with Matt. It was my first tattoo so I had no idea what to expect. He was thorough in explanations of what it would be like and made me laugh the whole way through the process. I felt completely comfortable and he did an AMAZING job, it is exactly what I wanted!! The shop was clean, they were very hygienic, and the throw-back decorations made you feel right at home. My father passed away last summer and for Father's Day I decided to get a small script tattoo of a note that he had left me and a silhouette of a dirt bike since he was a professional racer when he was young. I did some research and asked around town and this shop came highly recommended. I usually go out to Riverside for my tattoos but didn't want to travel too far since I was caring for my sick father. Matt was my tattoo artist and he was very friendly but my tattoo did not come out as expected. The writing was done too thick and the words are blurred together and the dirt bike is blurry as well. After a few weeks of hoping it would get better I went to the shop and showed another artist and asked if there was anything that I could do, his response was "we didn't do that tattoo" after I explained to him that Matt had in fact done the tattoo and showed him my deposit slip he suggested that I give it a bit more time and come back later if nothing changed and he would see what could be done. Well it never changed, it's still blown out and it is really sad that out of all of my tattoos this one is the most meaningful and the poorest quality. I never did go back, I felt kind of uncomfortable the last time I went in. I felt like I was being accused of lying. Now I have to either have it removed or covered and have my fathers tattoo redone. It really is very very disappointing since the place came so highly recommended, in fact a few of my friends had their work done there. Read Less

Same name, but under a new owner. Don't be deceived like me! But really, the shop is in good hands. The interior is amazing, really loved the details such as the matching red toolbox and water dispenser. The sinks are made into an antique serving table! There is a lot of open space so you can see exactly how clean the space is. I've been wanting to get my first tattoo for awhile now and finally got it done impulsively. Went in with design ready (in vector file), asked about price, was back in 2 hours, and walked out with a tattoo in 40 minutes. Brandon was very professional, easy to talk to, and explained the aftercare in detail. I'm a graphic designer/photorealism artist and am quite happy with the result. The shop has been around for years but the owner/management is new...within the last 14 months. The shop is clean! Being a retired surgical nurse, cleanliness and sterility are very important to me. Brandon is very friendly and does a great job relaxing the customer. I went with a first-timer so that was important. He can hold a conversation with cool jams in the background. That's nice. I'm glad I made a stop by this tattoo shop. I had some ideas in mind but Brandon turned it to a master piece. The drawing he came up with is very detailed and one of the kind. This is not just an ordinary tattoo shop you drive by typically. He has big screen TV which he played couple movies during my session to cope with the process.
