This place is a hidden gem! I was so hesitant going in to get my tattoo removed because it is retouched I thought it's not even possible. But walking in Natalie welcomed me with a smile and answered each question happily! She didn't judge the mess on my wrist but gave me realistic expectations and gave me a detailed overview for the whole process. So basically I have my entire body tattooed back, chest, whole arm, over 150+ hours of work. So I know tattoos, and I'm very knowledgeable on tats. Years back I had the bad choice as many people do of getting a few bad semi small tats on my left wrist. I went all over the place to see if I could get my tat removed and all the places I went to, dr tat off ect... We're rip offs!! All those stupid mainstream places were a waste of money! And also all those places turn down the laser down low so those places such as dr tat off rip you off and milk you hard. So let's bring this back to Natilie now, basically I found her through a friend and let me explain why she is amazing and should be the only laser removal artist that you should go to. First of all PRICE, the price is fair.Second she is very knowledgeable, her and her husband are both artist and very knowledgeable on all tattoo related topics. Such as ink types and tattoos in general. Third with this in mind she knows exactly how to treat your tattoo and laser it CORRECTLY ! Fourth, she knows what strength and how to laser you leaving me at least with no scars ! No scars people. Finally overall she is amazing and knows exactly what to do to remove your tat. So like most tattoo aficionados I've had this specific tattoo design in mind. Finally came around to pulling the trigger on it due to the fact that I had a clear day from work and personal obligations.I heard of The Ink Shop through two coworkers who have had multiple sessions and really nice pieces there with the owner Johnny Quintana. A well known artist in the tattoo culture community. Being that I recently relocated to Pasadena it was a short drive to the Ink Shop in Arcadia.I booked a session with Big Danny Lopez. Dude seemed really chill, sorta quiet but I could tell he is serious use about his craft. After a brief explanation about what I had in mind he seemed eager to take on my tatt although it seemed like his expertise is Black and Grey and some really clean fine line Script lettering.I was looking for a traditional style anchor in color with a banner wrapped around it. Props to Big Danny for being receptive to what I was asking for. We bounced off ideas leading to the day of my session and he nailed the design after a few sketches.Needles to say, he was professional, focused and open to ideas and suggestions. It was one of the best tattoo experiences I've had. His lines are clean and his color was well packed. I will be booking him again for a Script Lettering tattoo very soon. Been here before and recently decided to go back to get another tattoo again. I was immediately greeted by a man named Mike. Never seen him before but he was extremely friendly and showed me his portfolio with his work and all of it looked amazing. I showed him something similar of what I wanted done and he knew exactly how to make it look better. He gave me exactly what I wanted and took it up a notch! I went there because my friend had one her whole leg about two weeks and she LOVED IT! I didn't want to go somewhere new that I had no feedback on. This was my first tattoo after. I went and asked for Anthony, he came out, told him what I wanted, unfortunately he couldn't do it because he had someone else. He said anyone could do what I wanted..a small bow/ribbon on my finger. I asked the other artist Danny a few questions and I was ready to go. I had my list of questions and the guys there were ready to answer them. They let me read the aftercare instructions before I started to put me at ease, it did. Danny even helped with the choosing of the colors. I was tattooed by Freddy this week.  HE IS AMAZING!  He put together a tattoo that I probably could have explained better.  He nailed what I wanted and Incorporated stuff that I didn't realize would have made a difference.  I cannot stop looking at my tattoo and smiling. I was also happy to see the shop is HUGE!  Another person was getting a fairly large tattoo and I didn't feel like we were sitting on top of each other but could converse easily.  There was also street traffic and I never felt like I was being gawked at by random people that walked into the shop.  But,  I was able to see the other artist interact with them and see some of their work as well.  I would go to anyone of them for more work...However, I feel like I found my artist in Freddy.  During my tattoo, yes...IT HURT, but He was very up front w/what to expect and it was not my 1st.  I did not bleed a drop druing my session and Freddy was very aware of and if I needed a break.  (thank goodness) Of course Freddy reiterated how to keep it clean and what to avoid.This is by far the best healing I have ever had for a tattoo....it's been a couple days and thus far zero scabbing, zero 'goo' and zero bleeding.  Freddy has set the bar really high and I am already planning my next session with him. About the artist, Freddy Robbles: I was referred to Freddy by a mutual friend who grew up with him. Naturally, I was a bit skeptical when you get the ol', "Oh you want a tattoo? My friend is an artist." but all that was put to rest when I saw his work.Freddy has a unique style that he makes his own. I could go on all day about how talented he is, but really his work speaks for itself. I couldnt have been happier with how my piece came out, and I will definitely be back for more work in the future. About the shop itself: The first thing I thought when I walked into their shop was, "These guys are not only tattoo artists, they are artists in the purest sense."Lots of their artwork is around the shop, which shows what kind of pride they take in their work. The shop is very tidy, everything put away in its place, the crew is really laid back, often walking over and inspecting each other's work and interacting with each other.Overall, I dont have enough good things to say about my experience there, but dont just take my word for it, check it out yourself. He's so talented as an artist first of all, he has a light hand, and he's fucking chill.He did a cover up for me and you really can't see what it was before. I'm not a talker while I'm getting inked and having your artist understand you and the way you work is great. Every once in a while he'll ask if I'm ok just to make sure.It might be kind of hard matching schedules but the staff will try to work a date out with you.Parking can be tight but I've managed to find a spot every time I went.
