I went in yesterday to get several piercings. Johnny was amazing. He explained everything I needed to know, answered questions I didn't know I had and was simply exceptional. He was professional and courteous...making sure I was comfortable with everything from the placements to the jewelry. He thoroughly went over after-care instructions and healing time and made certain I left happy and without any questions. He didn't rush through any part of the process. I got my nose pierced a month ago by Lee and she was super nice. They are a little on the pricey side, but I think it's totally worth it if you want a piercing that doesn't hurt and heals well and fast. I got my second nose piercing done by a different shop which got infected, fell out, and is now closed and I'm for sure coming back here to get it re-pierced​. Lee is the worst. She denied us tongue piercing adjustment when we told her it bothering our teeth. Johnny is great! Had the most knowledgeable piercer I've ever come across. She explained entire process, was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I had my nose done so privacy wasnt necessary however her piercing space had the ability to be very private when getting intimate parts pierced. I would highly recommend. I was so scared when I went in to get my septum pierced! I was kinda skeptical at first since it's in the mall, but don't let that stop you! The shop is great!The customer service was great; very friendly staff with good personalities. My friend and I both went in for piercings and left as happy campers! I think Johnny did my piercing, but I can't remember only because I was more focused on my pain and I'm just horrible with names. I came here to get my tragus piercing earrings changed. Lee was amazing!  I was set to have my left ear hole close bc my plan was to have mine removed and her new earrings and put them in the next day. Lee save the day and my new piercing. I must be honest I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews on this establishment. My cousin reassured me it was a nice place because she had gotten her ear pierced here. So I gave in and we all went together. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a man sitting in the back I told him I wanted to get my nose pierced and he pointed to a lady who was currently having a conversation with another customer. Once she was done she greeted me with a warm smile and asked what I wanted to get done today. I told her what I wanted and she asked me a series of questions about the piercing I've never been asked before ( this would be maybe my 4th time getting my nose re pierced ) she was VERY professional and I appreciated how she took her time and listened to my every word. After she helped me pick out an opal nose ring ( I've never seen before ) we were ready to start! She took me to the back where it was VERY clean and everything smelled sanitized. I told her how good it smelled and she chuckled. She made the experience painless and kept me calm and smiling the entire time. 1 Star only because it made me put a star. Went here with my daughter who had been waiting to turn 18 to get her nose pierced. Walked in and a large man was tattooing a customer, while another man was sitting on the computer. We got ignored for the first 10 minutes then the first thing out of the large mans mouth was "Didn't you read the sign? No drinks!" Talking to me like I'm a child and said it very rude. He wasn't friendly at all and if his tattoos are like his attitude then I feel sorry for the customer he was working on. First impressions are everything so I would never give a dime to this business, they should invest in customer service courses. Being an Antioch Native I wanted  to support a local business that's been there since I was young, but big boy ruined that. The woman on the phone was amazing and so nice! I felt confident after speaking to her that this would be an amazing shop...The reason I'm giving 1 star...I was wrong about my previous statement.... I went in to get a MASSIVE tattoo drawn up, was willing to pay for the drawing, was told that wasn't needed, that they'd call me in 2 weeks and I left thinking I'm one step closer to a tattoo that would mean so much to me... 3 weeks goes by and no call... So I call them... They tell me they are too busy... OK I can understand that, no big deal... 2 more weeks goes by, still nothing... I call and I get a "yeah yeah he's working on it and will call you"...now Over 2 months and still no progress on the drawing and they are getting meaner over the phone... If they didn't want to do the tattoo, that would have been 100%  fine with me, I'd get someone else who wants my money, but don't lead me on and be assholes when I call because I'm excited for something you also acted like you were excited about... I could have (and should have) had another artist working on this tattoo the entire time and could have already had some ink on me by now... All my piercings that you can see in that you can't see have all been done by both piercers their professional I'm not embarrassed and they're fun to talk to the place is so clean it's downtown Antioch that's always beautiful to look at at the Delta while you're driving down there! I jump out of my car walk in I've never had to wait they take me back and always help me out it sucks w...hen you have surgery because they want to take all your piercings out so I have to go down there take my piercings out put the little things in that they put in and you have to go back haven't take those out but your new piercings in and it's all within 15 minutes I just love them down there and her husband being a tattoo artist we just figured out tattoo my daughter that's going to be 40 he pierced her when she was 18 that's how long we've had our relationship. Not knowing if the shop took walk-ins or appts, I called for opening. They didn't have one but if I came in 1-1/2 hour later they "might" have one. They asked what I was looking to get. An infinity with my 2 kids and my mom's name. Ok. Something came up, I couldn't make it but this left me with the impression that maybe a walk-in was possible. Maybe. No expectations. I dropped in the following day after another appt. but nothing available. I would need an appt. either tomorro...w or Friday. When I said I couldn't do tomorrow or Friday, I got major attitude. A dude came asking what I was looking for but not looking like he wanted to. I said I was confused. Do I need an appt. or not? I repeated what I wanted. Said I have a pic but some don't like to see pics. I didn't want to waste the gentleman's time if he couldn't do it. He copped a big attitude and said I'm done talking to you. I had my ears pierced here back in 2009, and it was quick and painless. No fuss, no muss. The precision was spot on, and they definitely made it a pleasant experience. Never experienced any kind of infection or rejection.Back in August of 2015, I got my left nipple pierced. Once again, quick process and relatively little pain - just a quick burning sensation. They were able to fit me in the day I called, and it was probably only about a 20 minute ordeal from start to finish (having them explain what was going to happen, asking about what bar size I wanted, the actual piercing, and then paying). The price was about $50. It looks great, and I haven't experienced any major issues. Overall, Indigo is very professional and personable. They aim to please, and they do a good job. I got my belly button pierced here and it was quick and painless. However the jewelry was thirty dollars for a very simple and frankly ugly ring. That same day I went in to get my nose ring put back in and the piercer accidentally threw away both of the piercings I brought and then gave me one new piercing which was way too big and now I'm having issues with my nose ring. I will not be coming here again. Oh and the female piercer is extremely rude. My sister asked her if she knew were she could get cheaper jewelry and her reply was "if I did I wouldn't tell you anyway" which was very unprofessional. With that being said, i am fully impressed with Lee, the owner and piercer) as she has excellent safety practices and is very personable. I waked right in without an appointment and got my ears pierced yesterday within 30 minutes. You may say "oh that's just your ears," but I've had the nose 2x, tongue 3x, industrial 2x, ears 3x, and so on... There just isn't enough room to say how great Indigo Skin Design is. Between me, my boyfriend, and my mum we have 11 tattoos all from John. He's an amazing artist, listens to your vision, and give you good constructive advice on how to make your piece perfect. He gives you a flat rate and I love how quick he is, my arm piece is quite large and only took him 2 hours. His wife Lee is my piercer, awesome lady. I've recieved 5 piercings from her and am on my way to my 6th. She has excellent bedside manner,  is very knowledgeable, has access to high quality jewelry, and does not charge too much. I went to this shop bc of yelp reviews saying that they go above and beyond with health precautions, & it's true :) I was in a hurry & I told the piercer (Lee) this several times & she did not hurry :) she took her time explaining after-care, making sure the placement was perfect ( previous piercing was crooked & she used a different spot to straighten it out ) . I have been here to get piercings and they are very professional and clean I would definitely recommend them. I also went here for a tattoo. They followed procedure when it came to identification and cleanliness here as well. I was pretty happy with my tattoo. He did a great job on the caligraphy; however, for a $150 I felt he could have done a better job on the shading of my tattoo. In fact, as great of a job as the tattoo artist did do on my caligraphy I feel that had he spent a little more time and effort on the picture portion of my tat the whole thing would have been perfect. I got my first tattoo here five days after iturned 18. They were very business-like, making sure I had proper identification and signed all release forms. I felt comfortable. My tattoo is beautiful and I would happily visit there again. The whole process was extremely sanitary, including using sterile needles straight from the package each time.
