Kyle is the best! Not only is he NICE but he actually makes sure ur perfectly happy with the placement n colors before he starts. Went into this shop because it was pretty local to me, Had a photo of what I wanted.. a simple puzzle piece tattoo because my son was diagnosised with autism. The guy {not sure on name this was around 2PM on Sunday} was in the shop alone and trying to do something with the TV. He walked over to the counter with the remote still in hand and asked what we needed. I showed him the tattoo I wanted and he said it was probably going to be $120 but he wouldn't know if it was going to be more or less until he was done. Than began arguing with me about how large I wanted the tattoo and where it was going to go. Needless to say I left the shop and went elsewhere, where I paid MORE money but the customer service and attitude were so much better. I knew I would be in Anaheim for a business trip and made an appointment at Torch. I was contacted by Gus and he worked with me for about a month prior to my appointment to get my design down. When I went in, he had 3 different designs for me to choose from. He was able to cover a scar and make it look awesome at the same time. Thanks again Gus!! Justin Warn and his crew are talented and friendly.  I had my appointment with Justin the owner.  I went in for a compass tattoo and a consultation on another tattoo that was poorly done. He sat down with me to pick my brain at what i was looking for in the compass tattoo.  He told me to go get some food so he could draw it up.  An hour later, he was very professional and wanted more time on the drawing and he really wanted to give me what i wanted and not rush the drawing. I was so thankful for that.  Finally an artist that wants to make something original and to give what the client wants. He then turned his focus to the horribly done tattoo.  I was embarrassed to show him at first, but Justin was very positive about how it looked and that he could work with it. He did magic on the horrible tattoo that you can't even tell it was there. I tried to book an appointment for my first tattoo with Justin, I was really excited to come here for my first tattoo because of all the reviews and photos I've seen. I contacted them and Jacqui responded to me letting me know she would keep me updated with any openings, she then told me Justin was booked but she could book me with any of the other artists, then told me they were all booked but she had passed my info to Matt. At this point I told her to put me anywhere with anyone who was available I wasn't picky with the date or time. I never heard a response after that, I contacted her again letting her know Matt never reached out to me and she simply stated she could book me with someone else, I was kind of frustrated and didn't even bother to contact her again. Yesterday I had my 1st tattoo done here by Kyle and I couldn't be any happier with it ( he was extremely great at his job and made sure I was okay since it was my 1st). I love it so much! I don't normally take the time to leave reviews so this has to same something. Let me first start off by saying I have 4 tattoos....some big and some small. Going to torch tattoo was a really good experience. I feel like most tattoo artists are a little stuck up and not friendly but when I walked into torch tattoo I was immediately greeted with a kind tone. I was also lucky enough to get an appointment with Griffen at the last minute. I explained to him on what I want and also gave him some references and he absolutely killed it... He literally drew everything I pictured in my head. I was truly amazed. My past tattoo appointments felt rushed but this one was definitely different from the others. I feel like he really took his time with my tattoo from start to finish and I couldn't be more pleased. The shop vibe is good... everyone who works there looks happy.  Price was reasonable especially for the amazing work they do. Honestly, Griffen will probably be doing the rest of my tattoos. I got my first tattoo here today and it was great! My friend and I walked in without appointments and Gus was happy to squeeze us in. He was so sweet and accommodating. My friend got a small tattoo on her ankle which didn't seem painful at all and my slightly larger tattoo across my ribs wasn't bad! The store was very clean and had fun art on the walls to focus on. Gus gave me candy before he started on me to give me something to focus on since the ribs are a more sensitive area and it was my first time. To be honest: I made this account solely to leave this review.Griffen is amazing at his work. What is more amazing than his tattooing is his playlist. Please. If you know anything good in life, go get tattooed here and ask for Griffen's playlist. Your soul will be reawakened within minutes. My tattoo took over five hours, so my soul had a mid life crisis, figured it out, and then took advantage of the hefty 401k it had in place prior to the mid life crisis and is now living in retired bliss.There are no better words to describe being tattooed while the Backstreet Boys are on than simply divine. What a wonderful tattoo parlor. It is a very clean shop. Gus was our tattoo artist. He did a beautiful job on mine and my daughter's matching mother daughter tattoos with a California theme. We live in New Mexico. Gus was so friendly and so caring about our needs and what we wanted. He helped change our tattoos that we wanted up to something special and beautiful. I went to Torch today with my husband to get out first tattoos. Ross and Matt helped us and were very sweet and put us at ease immediately. Ross was a guest artist this weekend but he was very honest with me (which I very much appreciated) and suggested that I get a piece that was timeless. He drafted up my arrow quickly and gave me exactly what I wanted. I got my arrow on my ribcage and he talked me through it. If I ever went to Portland, I would go to Art Work Rebels. Matt worked on my husband and he kept checking to see how my husband was doing. He was personable and did a great job on his tattoo. Finally decided to get my first tattoo and looked on Yelp for a local place. The reviews were amazing so I gave them a call. They were able to schedule me about an hour and a half later. I was really glad because even though it was an easy one for them, I was a bit nervous, and wanted to get started. Walked in and  agreed with all the other reviews on how clean it is. I was greeted right away and Gus told me he could help me out. Once he got started, he checked in with me frequently to see how I was doing. I had my husband with me and we talked about all the local places we both go to. Gus was very clear on what to do until my tattoo was healed. I saw samples of the work they do and I still felt as though I was just as important as someone who was getting a more detailed tattoo. He was so friendly and easy going. So, being a cancer patient, I have to be extremely careful about the environments I expose myself to. To celebrate my 5th cancerversary and survivorship, family from my Relay for Life team decided to get commemorating tattoos right after the event. Torch Tattoo is incredibly clean. The front waiting area, the bathroom, and the artists stations were all neatly organized and every tool that was used during the session was packaged and clearly sanitized. Justin (our amazing artist) was made well aware of my special needs and he had no problems accommodating requests. I didn't realize until after our session that he had booked us on Sunday, his day off. This was a really nice thing to do because it isless exposure for me. He even helped us come up with the simple design of a cancer ribbon incorporated into the word 'love' that was provided in my handwriting. No judgment on his part regarding our lack of creativity ;) LOL. He was incredibly patient with the nervous members of the group, and he was more than supportive of the spirit we came in. He was well aware that my tattoo was being paid for by my wonderful, amazing, beautiful and single aunt. Since I wasn't paying for it anyway, there was no reason to do what he did. He refused payment for my tattoo. Look, the guy has a shop to run, employees to play and bills just like we all do. I would absolutely never ask an artist for a $$$ break- they have it tough enough in that career field. That was an incredibly touching moment. He was totally supporting the fighting spirit that we had come into the shop with. He should have stopped there, really- but no. He donated his tip towards fighting brain cancer! This guy deserves a humanitarian award, really. I know you want info on the actual tattoo, and yes, I do realize it's a review of a tattoo shop and not of amazing folks, but I couldn't help it. But seriously, his talent matches his heart.  The design was simple, but nonetheless, he perfected what we could only imagine. Everyone of us was extremely happy with the outcome. Apparently I chose a pretty painful part of my body to tattoo, my palm. But Justin prepared me and talked me through it. He offered me a couple of choices with the coloring of the heart, but helped me pick the right color. I love it. The tattoo, the meaning, and the experience are all dear to me.
