I spent 5 hours getting tattooed by ALMA. She did amazing art work! Her line work is on point! She was also was very personable!  She was easy going and made 5 hours fly by fast! Everything I wanted she did it and more! She out did her self! AMAZING LINE WORK. There are NO SHITTY artists at IFA 2 or INK FIEND! All quality and great pricing! This place is easy to find, mostly because it's next to a Vietnamese restaurant I like going to.I came here earlier in the year to discuss my tattoo needs for a lack of a better word. All my small tattoos have been from this shop & each time I've been, their customer service is always on spot! I recently got a few pieces done by Frank & he was the most patient person as I moved the placement of my tattoo around a lot. When I wasn't sure of the position, he was awesome at not being biased on what he thought looked good because this was going to be on MY body. He gave a few good pointers though! I asked him a ton of questions & never once did he force me to put the tattoo anywhere. He was super funny, bluntly honest (a good truth) & accommodating to my needs! Frank, the shop owner, brother of World-renowned artist Master Mike, is well on his way to legendary status. Almost a year after I got my first piece done by him, it healed incredibly well and there's almost no visible fade. So the quality of his artistry is, without question, world-class. The thing that made me stop and take the time to write this is that he's a stand up human being. I had a scheduled appointment on the 6th of July for a forearm piece. When I came in and saw the composition of the piece and how it would lay, I didn't feel 100 about it. When Frank noticed my hesitation, he asked what changes I wanted without an iota of irritation. In fact he spun the whole situation to make it seem like he was actually grateful to me for giving him the time to work on some other pieces. We rescheduled for a day in August, and this is how classy this dude is, because I had worked with him before, he didn't even take a deposit to reserve the date. As I headed home, I felt a tinge of disappointment about not having work done, but also relieved that I didn't come home with a piece that I was truly happy about. As the universe would have it, Frank texted me two hours later to say that I made the right choice because the entire block had a blackout! Whew! Because of Frank's professionalism, I dodged two bullets that day! I was interested in watercolor tattoos, so I looked up #watercolortattoo on Instagram and found Isaac! I compared his work to others and knew immediately I only wanted him to do a piece on me. I contacted him and told him exactly what I wanted and he was very attentive to my requests. I have a busy schedule but Isaac was very accomdating to me and found a perfect day and time for me. It's scary knowing that he was going to do the  watercolor freehand but I knew he does beautiful work. When I saw the finished tattoo I was so in love! It was perfect, everything that I had pictured! Walked into the shop last week Monday without an appointment & Isaac was more than welcoming & more than willing to help me out. He offered different ideas & options as to how we can make my tattoo look, which was really helpful because I went from wanting a watercolor tattoo, to getting line work done with red (simple, but still beautiful). I get very nervous when it comes to pain, but Isaac had a light hand & made the pain more than bearable! He was also very supportive as far as telling me I was doing great with handling the pain. This is a long overdue review of my favorite tattoo parlor. I originally came here in 2009 for a back piece of an eagle to commemorate my service in the Marines. Then late last year in October of 2016, I walked in to inquire about having my daughter's name tattooed on me.The artist that helped me that day was Alma Ortega (no relation), an apprentice under Master Mike and Frank Loa. Alma was very kind, attentive, and skilled. We connected instantly & to this day I consider her a good friend. I returned later that month to take advantage of the shop's Friday the 13th special and got another tattoo designed by Alma. Fast forward a year now and I've returned 7 more times to have original work inked on me by Alma. I've also had one cover up and an amazing original piece by Frank, as well as another Friday the 13th special by Kevin. Anytime someone stops me to ask about my tattoos, I always guide them towards Alma. She is now a fully certified, state licensed tattoo artist with an amazing vision. I came in with a relatively simple tattoo on my wrist and an appointment with Frank at 1:00PM.  Frank wasn't ready for my appointment, needed reminders about what my tattoo was, and needed time to edit and print the image of the tattoo.Although the tattoo was simple, I wanted it to be exactly how I envisioned it.  This was going to my first tattoo.  Several things were off about the tattoo Frank edited and printed - the thickness of the lines, the dotted line lengths, and the lines and curves themselves.  Frank told me the tattoo would be small and the differences would go unnoticed.  He told me it was a simple tattoo and it shouldn't be this difficult.  In the end, I felt like he oversimplified my tattoo - to the point that he was unprepared for our appointment.  He neglected to acknowledge that I had a very specific idea for my tattoo. Simply imprinting an image that looked similar to it wasn't acceptable.To his credit, Frank came in on his day off for me, consulted with two other tattoo artists about this tattoo and tried to work with me.  But his unpreparedness and his oversimplifying of my tattoo were the lasting impressions I had from him. I've gotten 3/4 tattoos here (each with a different artist) and am 100% positive that I'll be coming back for more. My most recent tattoo was done with Frank and I am so happy with his work! I came about a month and a half beforehand and we had talked about what I wanted. I really appreciate him being patient with me while I went back and forth on the size, positioning of my art, and color choices.With each artist it seems like they have a specialty. This review is long overdue. I came here back in January during their "Friday the 13th" event. At the time I was looking at several shops on the search for a new tattoo artist, and  thought what better way to check out some shops by getting a small tattoo? Well as things turned out IFA2 had the perfect tattoo I wanted a "headless sparrow" long story short I arrived at 11:30 about 30mins after they open there was a line of ppl but of course it moved fairly quickly. I filled out my form selected which tattoo I wanted and left around 12:10 to get some lunch everything worked out cause after I got lunch and ran a quick errand I got back just in time to be called. The actual tattoo process was quick as well, walked in to my artist Kevin said hello and within (15mins might have been 20) I paid him and was on my way. The shop itself is on the small side but very clean and sterile! Staff was cool very professional and I got the vibe that this wasn't their first Friday the 13th event as things ran fairly smoothly throughout the whole process I will be coming back here again in October (the next Friday the 13th) to get another sparrow on my other arm (should've done both at the time but I didn't know I would be so in love with it) thanks Kevin and IFA2! I got my first Tattoo here with Alma, and I have to say that she was the best (I am a little biased because this was my first). She was very thorough and honest, with her I was not nervous at all. She gave me after care instructions and if I had any questions she gave me her contact info. She let me friends be in the room with me which was nice. She is very down to earth and cool. Went in to consult and schedule an appointment. I was greeted by Isaac, who was super welcoming and very in tune with what I asked for. He pulled up some images and once we agreed on a design he drew it up and I was getting tatted within 20 minutes. My husband met me there for support and ended up getting tatted by Frank who was also so sweet and accomadating. Normally when I go into a shop to get ink done I feel intimidated but I felt comfortable immediately. I will definitely be coming back in the future. My husband and I are ecstatic with our new tats. Have been wanting a tattoo for a lot time and just hadn't figured out what I wanted to get. Dropped by and spoke to Jason and gave him some ideas of what I thought I was looking at getting. The shop was super clean and everyone there was really nice, made it such a stress free experience. Jason was able to take those ideas and put them together and come up with this awesome tattoo the next morning. I took one look and loved it. Jason explained the whole process to me and answered all my first time tattoo questions. Like I said the shop was so clean and sanitary it took such a relief off my shoulder. I have been seriously considering getting inked for some time now. A good amount of my friends have gone to Inkfiend so I knew I was good hands. So calling them today and finding out about a second location I was decidedly hesitant as no one told me of this. However, calling IFA2 and having Kevin answer all my questions and concerns I was calm once again. He also helped me book an appointment today for 3pm. Arriving several minutes before, I was greeted by Isaac and Kevin (should be). Isaac showed me his book with his work and I was impressed. I showed him what I wanted and he said he would find a few designs online and we go from there. Kevin had me fill out the necessary form and about 10 minutes later, Isaac was ready for me. He pulled two designs for me...two hearts of different sizes. I went with the smaller one. He put the template on my wrist and let me see how it would be and placement of it. Afterwords, happy with size and where it would be placed, Isaac began. I was nervous by this point as I was prepared to be in tons of pain but...weirdly I wasn't. My tattoo did not take too long and was soon done.  Isaac explained what I needed to do to keep this clean and proper. I had done my own research on the aftercare but still was happy to have him explain what I needed to do. Overall...I'm happy and satisfied. I also think this most likely won't be my last one! I have been coming to IFA2 for a few years now and let me tell you, I'm never going anywhere else. The artist who has done the majority of my work is Frank. He's an awesome guy. Funny, easy to talk to, and always tries to make you feel comfortable. Let's not forget, his work is amazing! Each artist has their own style so you should not have any trouble finding one you like. I have met all the artists here and none of the artists at this shop are rude (unlike my experiences at other tattoo shops prior to finding this one). They are all very professional and take pride in the work that they do. The overall setting of the shop is nice also. It does not give you a sketchy vibe like some other tattoo shops do. They have a vending machine with refreshments and if you get hungry, there are places to grab food closeby (sitting through an 8 hour session definitely makes you hungry).I highly recommend this shop to those of you reading this!
