Definitely recommend for piercings! I went in for a simple second lobe piercing. Joe, the owner, pierced me. He took some time to prep making sure everything was clean and sanitized. I've given this place several chances because it's my local piercing and tattoo shop, but it has sucked every time.I brought a photo of what I wanted tattooed, because I obviously wanted it to be photo-realistic, and the artist kept trying to give me his personal rendition of the image. What's the point of bringing the photo if he's gonna remix it? I had to argue with him for twenty minutes before finally conceding and compromising on what turned out to be a generally bad tattoo with uneven lines.The second time I came here, I was greeted by a really rude and mean-spirited man with a teal mohawk. The guy seemed like he was angry that I was in his shop. I'm not sure why; it must be some weird personal issue he was projecting. This visit concluded with me getting the piercing I wanted but not being given any soap or salt to treat it with, which is a custom in other shops.Additionally, my African-American friend told me the people here generally made her feel unwelcome. She was worried that it was a race thing, but I told her not to take it personally, as they have a tendency to act like assholes and come across as pretentious.If this isn't your local shop, it would serve you better to go anywhere but here. The first time I came here I went to get my nipples and Christina pierced. I made an appointment with Stephanie. She made me feel so comfortable and everything was fast and smooth. A few months after I came back to have Stephanie change my nipple ring. She didn't even charge me and once again she made me feel comfortable and was fast. The shop is easy to find and is very clean. I love that they play music and the decorations. Everyone is so nice and helpful. They also have different daily deals for different piercings. The only downside is you have to pay for street parking. Which isn't so bad since they are fast! I definitely will be coming here again and I recommend this shop! Read Less

While they can get pretty busy, everyone is approachable and happy to answer questions or schedule time to talk through ideas and design. This place is amazing. I've been going here for years to see Joe, because the place is clean, the staff is hilarious and professional (a great mix that's hard to find), and the art I've had done (and seen done on my friends) is spectacular. The shop itself is also really fascinating and has a super spooky fun museum! I haven't had any piercings done here, but a few of my friends have and they turned out great as well. Came here for a daith piercing about 6 months ago and my overall experience was great. The piercer was informative and reassuring throughout the entire process (sorry I forgot his name!). They set everything up first and sterilized your earring in the back room and then call you in when ready. Service and earring cost about $50 total and cash only. My piercing healed well but I had a hard time removing the earring so I came back recently. This time a woman helped me and she was also super nice. She removed my earring so quick and painlessly! Cleaned my ear and also put on my new earring for me that she also sterilized. Totally worth the $5 service fee. I've always done walk ins and usually have to wait about 5-10 mins. I'll definitely recommend and so glad we have this place nearby. Read Less

Great spot to get a piercing or tattoo. Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. I've come here for both piercings and tattoos and every single time has been a good experience. Tommy does a great job with the piercings plus he's super friendly and good at explaining things if you're not sure about what to get. He made us feel calm and was really quick. We came for a walk-in piercing on a Sunday and were in and out in 30 mins. Another time, I came here with a friend to get small tattoos. We just walked in around 7:30pm on a week night. We weren't sure if they would take us since it was near closing, but Aaron was there and did a great job. He listened to both our ideas, drew a quick sketch, and was able to tattoo both of us that day. Some places can be condescending if you want a smaller tattoo (I've had tattoo artists tell me they won't tattoo anything smaller than 4 inches), but this place is great and I've never had that problem here. Been thinking of getting a cover up on an old tattoo I've hated for years. Met @Sam Mcbride through a band mate of his and talked to him a little about it. The best I could think of was covering the thing with a big splotch of ink and hope for the best. Sammy suggested I talk to his co owner Joe. He showed me a pad with photos of some of his cover up work. I met Joe, we talked for a bit. He also thought the black splotch of ink a bad idea. Through conversation he found I l...iked hiking and had thousands of hiking photos. He suggested I bring a few in. I did we figured the best one to do the cover up. The work took close to a year. Some of the trees over looking the lake go one way in the photo and a different direction in the tattoo to help with the cover up. He also filled between the lettering on the old tattoo so it doesn't ghost through the new work. While the work was going on, figured out we both like certain movies and TV series, made for good conversation to fill the time. That was a year ago. Wow. So I took my nose ring out to put in a new one. After a day I realized new one was too short. I put back original but it wouldn't go in all the way. I called the shop. Tommy was super helpful. I was there In twenty minutes. Tommy sanitized my jewelry first thing and gave it a try for me but it was official. Hole had closed.. Seconds later I was getting re-pierced and it hurt less than trying to slam the jewelry through the hole. Tommy was very reassuring and sweet. He said he had sharp needles and years of experience. He chatted with me and made jokes. I felt very comfortable. Which is what you want to feel right before someone stabs you. It was 25$ and cash only for the piercing.  I would definitely recommend stopping in here. A nice clean shop with good fun people working there. Parking structure across the street!! Read Less

Only 2 tattoos on my body are not from this shop and I wish that they had been because this place is awesome. Joe Parker did my magnum opus Harley Quinn tattoo and it's my favorite piece on my body. My second favorite is my Koffin Kat pieace done in teadtional style by Aaron Davis. Slightly intimidating name and surroundings quickly became relaxing and comfortable after talking to the folks who share their artistry at Tigers Blood. My artist, Barnaby Williams, gave me some straight talk on why some of my tattoo ideas were less than stellar, based on his vast experience of how tattoos age, how the ink works with your skin, and avoiding trends and cliches. After listening to me actively, patiently, and calmly, i got some education, shared my vision of my ...body art, and showed him stuff i did and did not like. The drawing he made for me was excellent, and after agreeing to the drawing, the price and time i got a tattoo that i love. People with tattoos compliment it, but many many people without tattoos do as well. Its a wonderful piece of art i get to carry.
