Ami was great to work with! I sent her a few different ideas of what I wanted and she drew up a design to make it my own. It's been about a year since I got this tattoo and it's still looking as good as ever! She was very thorough in explaining how to care for the tattoo even though I have a few others she still gave me her recommendations which worked out perfectly. What a perfect intimate and professional space to get a work of art! Amy was incredibly helpful and attentive which, if you've ever been in a tattoo shop, you know that's rare. I wanted something off of one of her flash pages, and trusted her to choose the colors. She did NOT disappoint! Had tats done by both Amy and Shari. Both are super professional, easy to talk to and really listen to what i wanted. So upset with the artist Shari. Contacted her through Craigslist posting offering discounted prices for bigger piece art due to wanting to expand her portfolio. Initial meeting went great she quoted me a good price made deposit (cash only). Fast forward 2months later. I emailed her a few weeks before asking to see the artwork she drew for me and she said to protect her art she could not send it to me. Which I 100% understood and had no problem with. She would show me the day the appointment was set and we could make any changes at that point.  Now My appointment was Monday it's Sunday afternoon, I get a message while at work saying she underestimated ��the cost that it would actually be 50$ more than the start. At my lunch break I checked my email where another message was sent saying same thing but this time 100$ more than start quote. How does this only come up the day before the appointment. I did ask and she said she draws the work the day before so it's fresh in mind. First of all when I asked to see the artwork few weeks ago she never mention it wasn't even created yet. So there wasn't even any art work to show me. Second,  the price change was not a big deal for me I have no problem with it but we had already discussed size and wanting it colored, the price quoted should of been the correct price from the start. It wasn't like I made any changes since we last spoke. At the end of the day this all seemed very unprofessional and messy to me, I wasn't comfortable anymore to have her tattoo my body. I really did like her artwork from past tattoos on her Instagram page and was very excited. I thought this place was awesome reading it was female owned and operated. I was telling friends to check it out due to its cool background and initial meeting going good. Last thing I paid cash for deposit, and was told I could only pay cash for the rest as well. And when I said I would stop by to pick up my deposit she squarecashes it back to me. Now another negative point there. You ask for cash only but return it in a different way. Smh. Read Less

Loved my experience with Amy! I emailed her a week before to ask if they had time for a tiny thing on my wrist. I'm horribly impulsive when it comes to my tattoos and if it doesn't get done soon, it won't get done so I was happy she could fit me in! The day comes and there was an unfortunate scheduling snafu but everyone was gracious and it worked out. The part that won me over was how patient she was when I realized I wasn't as prepared as I had thought. I had an image in my head of how I wanted it done, but had no examples for her to go off of. It took almost an hour of sketching over and over before I was ready. Special shout out to her other client who patiently waited as my appointment time cut into his! I got in the chair, she set up her things, the whole process took not even 5 minutes! I mentioned how nervous I was since it's been a few years since my last one. She checked in with me every few strokes to make sure I was doing OK, even though it was such a small tattoo hahah. The end result was everything I wanted! Simple, clean, and as unique as a handwritten font can possibly be. During this entire headache, not once was she rude or get snippy with me about my indecisiveness; for that I am so pleased and look forward to working with her again! Had a fantastic experience receiving both a tattoo and a piercing here from Shari and Kat respectively. Beginning with the tattoo:I walked in and had a session with Shari. As usual, I went in with no expectations and a lot of hope. I always go in with a word or words in mind (this time a quote), and collaborate with the artist on size and design. It's as much about the experience as it is about the souvenir. Because it was a slow day, we had the time to go back and forth on everything, from font to color to placement. She had a vested interest in making it exactly what I didn't know I wanted, and was happy to expand the design after we got the words done. This was all done at a very reasonable price - especially considering I took up about 3-4 hours of her time in total. She also volunteered to fix the line work in an older tattoo, free of charge. We had a great conversation the whole time, and we chilled after. I walked in as a client, and we walked out friends, which is the epitome of what I want from an artist. The next day, I went back to hang out, and I met Kat, the parlor's new piercer. While she is relatively fresh, she brings in a background knowledge in biology, which *cough* some of the piercers I've had in the past would have benefited from. She was able to explain why a few of my past piercings were failures (and why they shouldn't have been done in the first place...), and gained my trust enough to let her put another hole in my ear. I'm very happy with how it turned out.  Needless to say, I have a great couple of nights with these ladies, and I'm sure there will be many more on the horizon. Amy is a fantastic tattooist! I informed her that I wanted a vintage inspired perfume bottle and she presented me with no one...not two...but three beautiful options to chose from, a difficult decision I must add. I opted to get the piece on my foot...so painful! Despite my moaning and groaning she never once seemed annoyed. She was incredibly patient and still managed to provide me with a gorgeous piece. Amy has done a majority of my tattoos and not only is she a great artist, but if I'm going to spend 6 or more hours of with someone continuously sticking a needle into my skin I hands down would choose Amy.
