I have been coming here since my freshman year at ASU and I have nothing but positive experiences! My first one (the constellation) I called the night before Thanksgiving asking if they were open and Jamone spoke to me on the phone and told me how excited he was to do this simple tattoo. He told me I had to get into the shop and do it and I am so happy with it!My second one was my cactus and it was Friday the 13th my freshman year. I went in around 11 am to put my name down and they told me to come back around 7. I will say I wound up waiting a long time for it and probably got it done around 8/8:30 but honestly it's totally understandable because it was busy! But it came out SO CUTE and gives me a little piece of Arizona to take with me. They were not rushed at all and took their sweet time getting the Friday 13 tattoos done. My third one I came in with my boyfriend and he got his first done exactly how he wanted it and has never been more happy about a decision. I got the lyrics on my back (now this was taken seconds after coming off the table so it does look a little irritated but it healed BEAUTIFULLY!) and this is something so special to me. Jamone did my lyrics and my boyfriend's tattoo that night and he made us both feel so welcome, comfortable and happy. I plan on coming back for my another one soon because I am so happy with every experience. This has been the shop I go to for tattoos and piercings for 10 years. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this place and the fact that everyone who works here/gets tattooed here is down to earth. Joey is responsible for me being as Tattooed as I am, and he listens to every idea I have and will tell me honestly if my idea sucks; which I appreciate since whatever we decide on will be on my body for the rest of my life. ZERO costumer service skills. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!I went to this shop on a random night about two months ago to get the word sanity done on my hip. Immediately walking in, I felt super uncomfortable, awkward, and judged. Even the tattoo artist were taking shots in the shop.The front desk staff, a girl named Sophia, was so rude. She got major attitude, judged the tattoo that I was about to get done, and was overall really unwelcoming. I had already told the artist that I was getting the work done so decided just to stay, wanting to keep my word. Turns out the artist Jack, completely f***ed my tattoo by misspelling the tattoo, adding 'Ls instead of straight lines, changing my 'a' to an 'e', and then one of my letters completely disappeared. The ink was super uneven and healed awfully. I did not receive after care directions (thank god I had previous and non-visible tattoos). The artist also refused to let me look at it after he had done it. He immediately bandaged it up and would not take it off so imagine my surprise when i got home.I contacted the shop and got the "managers" name, Joey Luck. He issued a full refund after I had asked for one and then asked that I come in to show him and so that I could get all the information I needed on my artist. Today I went in to show him my tattoo since I was in the area already. We walked in to the rudest, most disgusting person that I have ever come into contact with- our beloved front desk girl, Sophia. My cousin and I walked in kindly with the goal to simply have Joey look at my hip. Sophia very rudely let us know that Joey was out of town and would be for a month. I asked if we could speak to another artist about what they think is the best option to correct it. She again aggressively told me that joey was out of town. I tried to explain my situation thinking maybe she forgot since it had been some time and she aggressively responded with "cool". After about 3 minutes of eye-rolls, rude comments, and the nastiest tone ever- I finally asked what her problem was and made the suggestion that she treat her customers nicer. She then responded with "i'm sorry but this isn't apple-bee's" and then proceeded to insult us by stating that we "reeked of STANK from the moment we walked in". I would also like to note that there were 4-5 shop employees lounging, laughing, and watching behind us (and smoking weed during business hours) Not one person said a thing. I honestly have no idea why anyone would hire someone like her let alone allow her to be the face of the business. She was rude, trashy, and incredibly disrespectful. Great shop! It took about 30 minutes to get seen, however, the wait was well worth it. Daniel was able to come up with a design right on the spot and freehanded my design. It turned out awesome! I saw a guy that scheduled an appointment, he came in early and the artist got upset and said she wanted to cancel. They wouldnt take me since i had my kids with me. Zero customer service skills. Went in around 9 on a Saturday night and asked about walk-ins (very small line of script--extremely easy tattoo). We were told by the girl at the front desk that she could get us in at 11:30 that night, so we filled out the paperwork and left. We came back right around 11:00-11:10PM and some guy asked if we had an appointment. I explained the situation and immediately got the vibe that he wanted us to leave. He asked about the tattoo I was there to get and as soon as I told him it was really minor, he could not wait to get me out of the shop. He told me he had just gotten off a 10 hour piece and that the artist who was originally going to be doing my tattoo would not be done by 11:30. He told me to come back the next day. When I told him I didn't live in the area, it was basically too bad so sad. They refused to give me my paperwork back also. My friend and I were standing in the parking lot waiting around when, minutes later, the guy left the shop with his friends. Clearly, they were just looking to get their Saturday night started early. Never mind the the shop hours were listed as being open quite a while longer. Honestly, this shop made me feel like I didn't matter at all. They're probably used to dealing with the young college crowd and don't think anything of treating people like garbage. Won't be back, and I regret that I got my first tattoo here a couple years ago. Called in tonight at 9:00pm asking if they were taking walk ins. A woman answered and said no but I can schedule you in for 11:30. I also asked her that I did not have my ID, as I had just lost it, but a printed copy instead. She said that would work and she'd see me shortly. I get there around 11:15 and was greeted by some ignorant man asking if I had an appointment and I said yes, which he said was never made then decided to get mouthy and say no one would ever let me use a printed paper ID even though an employee confirmed it. Note: This is about piercings. I would not recommend getting a piercing from here at all. I went to get my tragus pierced and the person who pierced my ear used a piece that was not meant for the tragus (it was a nose stud). He also did not recommend any cleaning or healing information at the end of the appointment, nor did he ask me if I had eaten recently. A few days later, I had a huge rash on my face and the piercing was highly irritated. I went to the doctor who told me I should remove the piercing, so I went back to Tattooed Planet and they told me that it should be fine and that I should not remove it. Fast forward 4 months later and the tragus is still irritated. I went to see a licensed piercer at a different business and he told me that the piece that was in my ear was garbage. He also told me that the angle of the piercing was poorly done. He removed it and told me not to go back to Tattooed Planet again. My tragus got better immediately. None of my other piercings have ever been infected or irritated except for the one I got at Tattooed Planet. Really unprofessional and unsatisfying service Read Less

Had my tragus done six weeks ago. Jamel, or whatever his name is (African American), had no problem squeezing me into their busy schedule to make a quick buck. Anyway here I am six weeks later with an infected tragus. I removed the jewelry and went to a local piercer, whom is licensed! (Questioning if Jamel is actually licensed like he claims to be) anyway, this local guy says it's not normal for there to be a Nose Stud in my tragus and basically I got screwed over. So I ended up calling many other shops that said it is not okay to use a nose stud for a tragus piercing. Now I have to let it heal and get it redone in 1 month- by someone who actually knows what they are doing. I called Jamel and he states his wife did not get an infection when he pierced her. This guy is a joke. On top of that I got no after care directions.Also it was pretty funny that  my husband talked to him about adding to his sleeve and Jamel was getting him super hyped about it and sharing ideas and said he would make it look badass... well we ended up talking to another worker there - some female , and she said if an tattoo artists says that they could add something to it then they're no good and just trying to make some money because it was a bit more technical than that.
