I am looking to get a new tattoo from a different shop than the one that I previously went to. So I called this tattoo parlor because I was impressed with the quality of work that I saw. The first time I called a man answered and asked what my questions were, after I asked "What the hourly rate was?" He hung up on me. So I called again, furious, and his response was "What do you want?" I took this with a grain of salt and asked the question I had previously just asked. He was very rude and condescending and made me feel dumb for asking my questions , I can't imagine how he would have been in person! I wasn't asking if I could get it for a cheaper price, I was just curious what the hourly rate was because I wanted to start saving up. If a tattoo studio is willing to be that rude over the phone to PAYING CUSTOMERS! Then they don't deserve my business or my time! Looks like I'll have to look elsewhere. Read Less

I found this tattoo parlor through Yelp after searching for hours for a tattoo parlor that I could trust. I was a walk in wanting to get my second tattoo and they were able to fit me into the schedule and make an appointment for later in the day. The staff was attentive and listened to all of my ideas and concerns about the process. As Derik was putting the stencil on, he patiently adjusted the stencil at least 20 times with no hesitation until it was exactly how I wanted it to be; the tattoo was quickly finished yet perfectly done. Nothing but regret. I thought the stencil was uneven but he corrected me and said it was even. That as long as the dots "are in the general area" he could fix em as he worked. When he finished I stood up and noticed right away that the dots were not the same on each side. He said it was from the swelling. To let it go down and he could fix anything later. Well as the swelling went down it became more obvious I have a uneven chest tattoo and they aren't even willing to work with me to make this right. They said I signed off on the design and here's nothing they can do. which is true cause theres no fixing it and also funny cause they have you sign the paperwork before showing the stencil. (Guess I should be better at predicting the future?)I trusted the wrong "professional" thinking I was going to a reputable shop and now I'm sick to my stomach cause I spent $300 for a messed up tattoo. I am not a virgin to tattoos.  I had 4 already before coming into No Regrets.  While I dont have extremely large pieces, I have some knowledge on the process.  My sister went to No Regrets for her first and only tattoo, and this past weekend my mom wanted to get her second.  We went into No Regrets with no appointment (it was a quick and easy tattoo) and saw Jessica.  Whoa she is awesome.  Not that this has anything to do with her work, shes super cool, and she has a really neat style.  She had great lines, and was super friendly.  Being in the shop, made me get the itch for a new one myself, I had one in mind I knew I wanted to get, wasnt sure on placement, so left that day but went back the next day.  Requested Jessica, walked in and she was working on a large sleeve, so I came back a few hours later and she was ready for me.  The girl that helps her out is super cool too.  It was pretty funny, a group of about 6 girls walked in wanting to get the same tattoo (probably some friendship thing) and were trying to haggle with them, it was entertaining.  They were wearing swimsuits only so I found it kind of ridiculous.  Anyways I got the outline of Arizona, I was in and out quickly and it came out awesome.  While I have a few tattos, I havent found someone I love yet to complete future work ( I'm feeling a half sleeve) until meeting Jessica.  She told me to look her up on Instagram and she has some really amazing drawings.  I personally felt we meshed, she likes bikes (Harleys) and wants to learn to ride like me! This was the BEST experience with a tattoo parlor that I have ever had! My boyfriend and I went in to have tattoos done, and both of us were able to be seen as walk-ins. My boyfriend's tattoo artist was Jimmy and he was just awesome. Really nice and fun to talk to. He really put my boyfriend at ease since it was his first tattoo, and it turned out great. It was exactly what he had asked for.I was seen by Eli and holy sh!t, that guy is good. I came in with an idea of the tattoo that I wanted. He came back with a sketch that was even better than what I had pictured in my mind, including intricate details that I hadn't even thought of. He was very particular about aesthetics and making sure the placement was perfect so that there would be no distortion. The best part is that he has such a light hand. It was amazing. He was also really nice and fun to talk to as well, so I felt totally at ease.Most tattoo parlors don't make you feel welcome when you walk in the door, especially if you are like me and aren't covered in visible tattoos from head to toe. Most also don't listen to what their clients want and come up with some design that THEY want you to have instead of what YOU want to have. I got my first tattoo done here, I went in and showed them the image (a painting) I wanted done, and the guy I was talking to let me know that his style (traditional tattoo style) was probably not what I wanted, so he referred me to Eli, and I'm SO glad he did. He sketched the painting for me and added a frame to make it more fitting as a tattoo, I fell in love with it. I thought it was going to be an awkward experience because I'm very shy and I knew this was going to be a two or three hour process, but it wasn't awkward at all. We talked the entire time, which also distracted me from any pain. It was a great overall experience.Oh, and don't bother with their website except maybe for contact information. I went to No Regrets to check it out and price a tattoo I wanted to get. My mother- and sister-in-law, along with their cousin all have the Chinese symbol for family tattooed on them and I have been meaning to do it for a while. I did some research with the characters, made a copy, and gave it to the receptionist. She was very friendly and professional. After speaking with her I made an appointment for the following week with Eric Van Dyk. I was very excited to get my tattoo done, it had been 10 or 11 years since my last one. I decided that I wanted cherry blossoms around the characters and downloaded a few pics for some ideas. I arrived a little early so I could discuss the ideas with Eric. He took my ideas and drew up a piece that was beautiful and included all the aspects we discussed! I love my new tattoo! I am so glad I chose No Regrets! I've been going to No Regrets since 2007 and have to say their work is beyond superlatives.  I've had two fully designed custom tattoos with color-work done by Eric Van Dyk, and each time they have exceeded my expectations.  He is thorough in his work, talented in finding the right placement/design for your tattoo, and has a plethora of experience.  He is very easy going, loves to laugh, and has a real artistic talent.  As far as the shop goes, i've only dealt with Judy (receptionist) and Harley (owner) but both are very welcoming.  They are happy to discuss your ideas, relate their own experiences, and make you feel at ease.  It's a cool little shop, without the token 'next customer' attitude you find at most strip mall tattooists.  I wouldn't even consider another parlor in Arizona. I went to Harley at No Regrets to fix/enhance a tattoo I'd recently gotten on my wrist.  On a family vacation (on a whim) I went to a tattoo artist, not allowing enough time to get a proper job.  To add insult, some of the lines were showing some "blowout." Something, and I can't even say exactly what, just sort of put me off. Honestly, they just kinda creeped me out.Then I walked into No Regrets. The music was blaring, people were laughing and the "receptionist" (or whatever her job title is) was just cool. I liked the place.Alex was just finishing up someone and in a couple of minutes he approached me. I told him I wanted something in the shape of Texas. We chatted about it, he said, "what about this and that?" and we kind of worked out the idea. And off he he went to the back of the shop.10 maybe 15 minutes later, he came out with a amazing design and I knew immediately that was "it".So I laid my butt in the chair and he went to work. *Super* nice guy, told me everything that would happen and gently broke my tattoo cherry.I *love* the work.
