I went in for a simple nostril piercing, I work with children so while explaining to the piercer I explained that while I want a traditional stud currently I want to change it to a hoop in the very near future. The post is essentially halfway up my nose and any other shop I've gone to, not only does not sell a hoop large enough to fit, they have all said that I should I take it out and get it redone elsewhere. I love this place! Mark has been so communicative from the initial email intro, up to finishing my tattoo and coloring it. This was my very first tattoo. I knew for sure what I wanted and when I walked in the shop was very busy and I receptionist told me she would be with me in minute. A few seconds later, another person asked me if I needed anything? I advised him I had been helped and was just waiting. He introduced himself as Mark the owner, shook my hand and asked what he could do for me. I explained that I wanted a picture of my German Shepherd with the American Thin Blue Line Flag in the background. He took his time listening to me and said "that is not my specialty BUT, we have a great artist here name Boston who can do an amazing job with animal portraits". He then introduced me to Boston Rogoz. Boston was very patient with me and listened to what I wanted and drew up a great stencil. We put it on my arm and as I was thinking quietly, he said out loud "I think it needs to be bigger to fit you better". I couldn't have agreed more and SO glad I listened to him. The shop is super clean and everyone their is really cool. I spent over 7 hours in total getting my tattoo done and would highly recommend the shop, Boston, or anyone there depending on what you wanted done. This is probably my favorite tattoo shop to get tattooed at in Arizona. I have been tattooed here on 4 separate occasions. I have 2 foot tattoos. Very clean and crisp tattoos. Clean shop. Just visited near closing time and they were awesome and receptive. They have a beautiful lobby that makes you very comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. They didn't mind that it was only an hour from closing and gave me a quality piece. I will absolutely return and highly recommend them to anyone in the phoenix area. Read Less

This place is amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I went in to get a cover-up (from what I thought was going to be difficult) and Andrew effortlessly made it into something beautiful. I met with Mark last week for a consultation. When I called, the guy on the phone was very polite and helpful in setting up my appointment. Upon arriving for my appointment I was greeted by a friendly little gal at the reception desk. Mark sat down with me and listened to my needs. He then told me what was possible and what he wasn't comfortable with and recommended another artist for one of my cover-ups. Very honest and I appreciate that. It just proves they are not out for a money grab. He showed me some of his work and he is an outstanding artist. One of his clients was there and was more than happy to show me his work. The arm that Mark will be working on will be a cover-up with a traditional japanese dragon half sleeve and breast plate. I can't wait. I don't understand the low rated reviews that Living Canvas Tattoo has received. They were nothing but courteous and professional. The cost was a little more than I expected, but then again, you get what you pay for. I have done my homework and this is the place to go. Their booking time is a ways out there but that just proves how popular they are. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good. Read Less

I came into the consultation with just a general concept for a Japanese style tattoo that I wanted done, and when I showed up for my appointment, he had been able to bring my ideas to reality. I just completed my first Ironman race in Tempe and was looking for a great tattoo place to get my tattoo to commemorate the event. LCT has great reviews so I made an appointment. I am from Portland so I emailed my design ideas ahead of time and they were great helping me and suggesting possible changes. I just had the tattoo completed and it was a great experience. I came to get nipple piercings for the decent price than other shops and was so nervous when it came my time. I only have my earlobes pierced so no I don't have a whole bunch of piercings or tattoos but this experience was fun, smooth and easy. My piercer (Andrew) was kind, and professional which made me feel so confident of my choice. First one was down and he asked me if I needed time before nipp 2 lol nah my adrenaline was too high to rest and the piercing was tolerable so let me just get it over with lol He explained how to care for them in the next 4 to 6 weeks and I believe under 10 - 15 mins I was done.
