Went to have my nipples pierced by Eva and she was absolutely AMAZING! She is super chill, made me feel welcomed, relaxed and didn't make me feel rushed to get it done. She took her time making sure the alignment was JUST right and that I was happy with the placement before diving right into the piercing itself. She made an awesome suggestion to do diagonals based on my frame which I decided to go for and I could not be happier with the outcome! This is the go to girl! I went to this shop with my parents and sister, as we were all getting my parents anniversary date tattooed as a special occasion. Long story short, Keith did my tattoo (which were simple Roman numerals) and decided to do a "test line" next to my actual tattoo in order to "inform me of the pain" in my spot since it was my first tattoo. I was told the test line had no ink in it, but a month later and my "test line" is still very visible next to my actual tattoo. Again, the tattoo is Roman numerals so a stray line on the end makes it look like the wrong number. I went back to the shop and spoke to Mark and he confirmed that the test line was actually ink, despite Keith telling me it was dried blood, and told me to exfoliate it until it basically comes out or fades. Also texted Keith about the issue and received no response. Super upsetting considering this was a simple tattoo and also my first. I love this place. I moved to Arizona from Chicago about 3 years ago and was in need of a new tattoo artist. I googled a bunch of places and they seemed like a really cool place. The first time I walked in I immediately felt comfortable. I looked at the portfolios of each of the artists and Mark Dicarlo's portfolio was amazing. I went on to plan my tattoo and I've been going there ever since. He has customized every single one of my tattoos. He is amazing at what he does and he is also a really chill guy and always makes me feel comfortable. Wisemagic will always be my tattoo home. LOVED THEIR WORK! Totally amazing, beyond excellent and fast work. They were very prepared! I called for a quote and then scheduled an appointment the same day. I had a few small pieces touched up, and a lot of places will honestly scoff at touching up another artist's work. So not only did Wisemagic get me in same-day, but my artist, Mark, did an amazing job. I really think he went above & beyond touching up my existing work; he added his own touch and really brought my tattoos back to life. I was last minute walk in this evening. I showed Keith what I wanted (a small/simple acronym) and told him my ideas of placement. He took the time to tell me the pros and cons of my first placement and discussed with me his recommendations. As it is I always let my artist be the deciding factor, they do this all day every day! I decided on the placement and within 15 minutes (time to, prep set up and fill out paper work) I was good to go and getting tattooed. Keith was AMAZING his work is exactly what I wanted. So I go to get a piercing. But when I first entered the shop the first girl in front tattooing looked like she was falling asleep as she tattooed and her speech was slurred. She also was complaining about a wound in her stomach oozing. Cleanly? I don't think so. Then a heavy set guy with giant earlobes came and talked to me and not only was he very abrasive and disinterested, he REEKED of pot. I went across the street to immortal art. Read Less

STAY AWAY!!! This place is as ghetto as they come. First off I was never even carded when I got some work done here which should of been the first warning sign. You have to wonder if they don't even check ID's what else are they not doing? Are they reusing their needles too? Also they only except cash which is very sketchy to me. Any legitimate business nowadays takes credit cards. Their piercer was a complete idiot, whom I later found out got fired for a meth addiction and messing up peoples piercings. This review is concerning some dermal piercings I had received from Wisemagic. I don't want to mark this one completely down because Mike was actually very nice and friendly but basically I would not recommend at all. My first visit had a great feel to it, was super excited about my new dermals and thought I would experience no problems. About a week later, one had fallen out because I had failed to wear a band-aid to bed one evening- of course he had only told me they were only necessary for the first three to four days. So on my fifth night, I didn't wear one since the adhesive irritates my neck. When I went back to ask him what to do about it, he was super nice and extremely grateful that I had come back to fix the issue instead of just blowing him off and spreading bad press. Plus since he had failed to inform me correctly about proper care, he said he would fix the piercing for free. HERE IS WHERE THINGS WENT DOWN HILL. Once I had finished waiting for the original hole to heal, about a week later, I returned to Mike to fix the issue. I'm not sure if he rushed or was having a bad night, but the reimplant was very crooked- completely off alignment with the other "matching" dermal. Upon pointing that out, he "assured me" it was even, the wound was just swollen and that it would even itself out. Too bad two days later, after the swelling had subsided a bit, when I returned to work everyone pointed out how crooked my piercings were... on top of that, he actually wound up charging me, only knocking about 10 dollars off the price as a "discount" which in hindsight would not have been a big deal had they been straight!!After giving the situation some thought, I did some research, made some phone calls to other shops and eventually went to a completely different shop where THINGS GOT EVEN WORSE. I was informed that both piercings were being rejected, not because of my body chemistry but because both had been implanted completely wrong. There was about a centimeter between my skin and the anchor head (imagine Frankensteins bolts) which I had thought was strange to begin with but was told by Mike at Wisemagic was normal. I had her remove the incorrect dermals to find that he had also used two completely different pieces of jewelry as well. Out of curiosity, she asked me where I had gotten them done and when I told her, she simply gave an understanding nod and replied "enough said."Upon comparing the two shops, I began doing some reviewing and it occurred to me, I had never been ID'd or even asked how old I was when I had gone in to Wisemagic. On top of that, THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH... which suggests to me, something is out of line with the entire shop.Please do not waste your time, your money by going to Wisemagic!!!! It has been a while since I've been to Wisemagic, but just got some more work done to correct what I had done there and thought I should comment on my Wisemagic experience. I'll be honest up front, I should have known better and walked out when it didn't feel right talking with Mark. I take partial blame, allowing myself to get tattooed by someone I was not sure about. After talking with him the first time, he had an idea of what I wanted and I set an appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, his sketch was clearly last minute and not what I really had in mind. I had a photo of what I was interested in and gave it him to work from. In hindsight, here is where I should have walked out. He seemed.... bothered by my being there. He quickly did a sketch and came back to me with something on first glance looked only OK, but I thought he might make it work. I said it would work and he sat me down and quickly tagged it on on my arm. I got a quick look at it and made a few comments about what I was hoping for. In hindsight that was the second time I should have walked out. So you don't think I was one of ""those"" customers, I have had tattoos before and have never had a problem talking with the artist to make sure we are on the same page. Well, after he went to work we started having a conversation. After looking at my tattoo, I believe he was distracted and just did a poor job overall. I ended up with a tattoo I have had to get work done on twice more to make it presentable. I felt like I was rushed through and taken advantage of. Is he a good artist? Don't know, I didn't see it. The artwork (eagle) I wanted was clearly not up his alley and I wish he would have admitted it up front. Why did I go to him? I went with what I saw of the photos of his work and was expecting good things. My suggestion- Walk out if it doesn't feel right. Read Less

Sadly I listened to a friend of mine who told me to go to wisemagic because thats where she got hers. Bad idea. Hers was all black line work. Mine involved colors, and actual pictures. The artist I delt with got upset with me when I explained to him that the design he drew up after mine wasnt symetrical the same way mine was and got al huffy when he had to redraw it. his second attempt was much better. Sadly, after having the tattoo done by him, I realized it still wasnt symetrical. Overall, the shop is your average craptastic generic tattoo parlor. I wish, I wish, I WISH I had gone to Divinity even if is more pricey. Do yourselves a favor and spend the extra cash and go there. Read Less
