I have been planning my tattoo for 4 years. This was my first tattoo, and I have been let down so much by this experience. Not only did the artist(Joe)do what he wanted with my artwork vs. what I wanted with it, but the ink quality was also very bad. In fact most of the shading came off after one month and the rest looked as if it were a years old tattoo. I was distraught so I texted the artist and asked for a partial refund which he didn't provide. So I proceeded to get laser done on the tattoo, and after 2 sessions it is completely gone. Laser normally takes 6-12 sessions to remove a tattoo. I paid $500 for the tattoo plus a $100 tip, $700 total for the laser just to get back to square 1. I suggest investing money in a reputable shop because a tattoo is permanent and it's on your body the rest of your life. My new tattoo turned out really good at a top shop in California! Shop was very clean and I liked my overall experience. As for my tattoo it did not turn out the way I wanted. My artist was very confident in his tattooing saying he could give me the best tattoo. I wanted a forest tree line and when he was done with the first session I was not pleased with the tree he had done. I was hoping that the next session he would of fixed it up but he did not. He could not tattoo in his line and he couldn't even tattoo a straight line around my wrist. I was left with very poorly trees and jagged lines. The place itself was fine. It was clean and organized, like a normal tattoo shop. But the artist I went to was not good. She didn't seem to really care about me or my tattoo. She just seemed to want to get it done and have me leave. Which is frustrating. She did a tattoo on my inner forearm that says "1 Peter 5:7" and the tattoo itself is filled in fine but it's off center. When placing the tattoo she didn't measure it out, she didn't take the the time to make sure it was a straight line. She just placed it on there and went away tattooing.
