Got my 1st. Tattoo for my 50th birthday. Iron Dan was great. I am scarred of needles and he kept me calm. The pain was nothing like I thought it would be. I would do it all over again 100 times. I will never go here again. Can't remember his name but one of the younger guys messed up my tattoo. Spelled it wrong and tried to fix it and made it worse by cramming the last letter on the end. Said I wanted purple, I can't see any purple. Dude sucks. Bad pricing too. My worst mistake was going here. Read Less

GOOD luck trying to get an appointment here without driving there. You can't get anyone to answer the phone or return a message. I even drove by since it's so close to me thinking they were probably busy and there was no customers, they were standing around talking so I got back in my car and went to a shop who does answer their phone. After checking out 2 other tattoo shops in south scottsdale we ended up here. My mom and I planned for matching tattoos (I got mine first elsewhere and she wanted to check out a different place). Walked in and they were able to draw up her tattoo and do it then. Granted it was a small tattoo so it went fairly quick but out of the 3 shops we saw, this definitely was our favorite. Very laid back & comfortable environment, great set up and the tattoo artists are the reason everyone loves this place! Ivan was super helpful and very funny, iron dan did her tattoo and she was very pleased! They are able to display their work on the monitors up front so you have a good idea of their artistry. I would highly recommend this place. Ez tattoo is a nice place with a 4 stars for only one reason one of the best tattoo guys I have never meet and have never worked with Jesus is the best He has such talent when it comes to his art work and his design skills are outstanding I think he is amazing all I have to do is tell him what I am interested in having and he will draw it up send it to me and I am in love Jesus gives you a rate for the tattoo and he STICKS he is very reasonable for his work that is just so detailed and you can see he really wants it to look the best on you that is what makes him such a great artist because it is not just going on you as the client but it is his work too   if it was not for Jesus being at Ez tattoo I would of never chose to try this tattoo place Jesus you are amazing and can't wait to get more work done by you and only you all you have to do is just call and ask for Jesus Read Less

I just got a tattoo done here by Dee. He was amazing! I was a walk in and he found time for me between appointments. I told him my budget and back story of the tattoo I wanted and he easily accommodated both. During the whole experience he kept me calm and comfortable, this being my first tattoo, and he was very friendly. I wanted a piece with my cousins name incorporated and he found a way to make it flow and resemble the spirit of my cousin. I will definitely be going back to see Dee! The only thing I have to say is this a tattoo only shop. They currently don't have a piercer so don't go there looking for a piercing. Overall it was an amazing experience! Read Less

Definitely the worst experience I've EVER had with a tattoo Artist. I worked with "Dan" and this review is specifically for him. My wife and I decided to get half sleeves done and he decided to "help" us design them, but when we got there for the first night the stencil was only for the 2 main pieces (which only too up about 1/3 of our arm) and the rest was empty. After he "completed" these pieces to his satisfaction, there was literally NO black shading! Or any dark shading of any kind. We were incredibly upset by the poor quality of the work, the lack of communication, and his unwillingness to help us design the tattoo before he started working. There were actually pieces with completely empty parts in the tattoo that should NOT have been there. after spending literally THOUSANDS of dollars hoping that the tattoo would get better as we got further along, we realized that it was only going to get worse.  We decided to leave Dan's "services" and sought out an artist from Living Canvas Tattoos in Tempe. They immediately said EVERYTHING wrong thing about our tattoos, that we had been wondering since day 1: the ink looked like it was 5 years old when it was only 1 month old, there was no depth to the tattoo, no shading, over 80% of the tattoo was a background that just looked like blue scribbling on a page the color was faded and pastel, there were elements that were clearly outside of his skill level but he tried to do them anyway, and failed. We were shocked at what he had done, and that he considered it to be complete. After confronting him about adding some type of element to the tattoo to make it one complete piece, he said that he thought it was a bad idea, that he couldn't even visualize it, and that we should give it about 12-18 months before we get anything done to it, since our opinions may change.We left and decide to never return to EZ Tattoo.Now after working with Greg from Living Canvas Tattoo, Our Arms have been COMPLETELY redone, outline, black shading, fixing everything that Dan did wrong, and adding more elements to complete the entire piece as a whole. We are still about 2 sessions from being done in order to completely finish the background that Dan screwed up, but we already LOVE how Greg has been able to transform a botched tattoo into something complete and beautiful.  One thing that makes an artist great, is knowing their own limitations. It was pretty clear that Dan was NOT comfortable doing a completed scene on a half-sleeve however, he took on the job and could have ruined BOTH of our arms for the rest of our lives. I an SO thankful that we decided to get out of there and go to Living Canvas in Tempe, where they actually care about the quality of their work, and will make sure your tattoo will look exactly the way you want it. Dan will boast about his "Master's degree in Art" and how he once told a kid to "stop tattooing people because  he was f**king them up." But HE is now the one putting crappy ink on people and needs to give up the game.While the other artists at EZ tattoo may be worth a shot, Stay away from Dan, he doesn't know what he's doing. And they have definitely lost our business to Living Canvas in Tempe. Read Less

I've had nothing but good experience with this shop. The artists are all very friendly and upbeat, and my artist Paul is amazing. I've gone to a LOT of artists and shops, and nothing compares. A lot of shops i've been to have a pretentious atmosphere to them. this place is really relaxed and inviting. i've always been met with friendly chit-chat and genuine interest in the art i'm getting in my skin. you can tell there is a lot of love going around, the artist are all very dedicated-it's more than a job to them.i can't speak for the other artists, because although they're very friendly i've never personally been tattooed by them. but Paul Ruiz is incredible. i'm very picky and he's never shown any hint of frustration with me, he's always excited to get it PERFECT. he loves tattooing and it shows. he's very very good. his style is really unique and it's *personally* what i really enjoy. he's very good at new-school and realistic styles, as well as traditional art. i'm never going to anyone else. I came here on a whim for Friday the 13th flash and ended up finding my new artist.  Jesus made me feel super comfortable and is very detailed,  love him!  I never thought my favorite tattoo would come from a flash sheet! This place is clean and the people are rad, that's it. Read Less

I just visited EZ Tattoo and had my 2nd tattoo done. The staff there was great, and James my artist did a fantastic job. The color of my tattoo is incredible. The price is reasonable and James did a great job of explaining to me what he was doing and made feel at ease. I'd recommend EZ Tattoo and James or Missy for anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing. I'm new to the tattoo world and they were great to me.
