I had won a gift certificate for a tattoo and took forever to figure out what I wanted. When I finally decided to go in and talk to Uncle Josh, he was very helpful with scheduling an appointment. The day of the tattoo, I still was all over the place with the exact design. He was very patient with me and helped me search the internet AGAIN and through his fonts system to perfectly match the tattoo I wanted, ha.He uses his own ink and needles which is really awesome. I was very comfortable the whole time and it was over in no time. Very friendly and does incredible work.The secret ingredient in his ink is the "come back," as he described cause you'll be coming back for more! I already want another tattoo and have many ideas. I love this Shop. I was lucky enough to have custom work done By Sarah. She made me feel right at home and started working on my piece shortly after I arrived. The shop it's self is relaxed and very clean, I was comfortable from the second I walked in the door. Sarah did a amazing job on my tattoo, she was quick but also took her time to pay attention to the smallest details. Sarah is funny and upbeat while making sure I was doing ok and not in pain. Uncle Josh rules.  Not necessarily because he's a great artist or because he has great rates (both of which are very true), but because he's very patient and open minded.  He lets you explain your idea, asks relevant questions, offers alternatives and makes sure you're at ease through the whole process.  I felt very comfortable making the decision to put something on my body permanently and I'm not sure I would have felt that at ease elsewhere.  Being only my second tattoo (first in ten years), I was somewhat apprehensive and timid, but Uncle Josh was more than accommodating.  We spent hours talking about and sketching the tattoo, and he wouldn't begin the actual ink until we were certain we had a perfect representation of what we both had in mind.  Once he started the actual tattoo, it went quick and relatively painlessly.  We chatted about music and tattoos and stuff to do in Phoenix which kept my mind occupied, making the pain barely noticeable.  I'm very satisfied with my tattoo.  It's waaay better than what I had in mind.  Uncle Josh turned my basic idea into artwork.  I'm so glad I came here.  I'll be back.  Soon. Josh at Lost Dutchman Tattoo is amazing. I came in with a concept for my first tattoo, and he followed it to a T. He drew it up custom in an illustrative style, and wouldn't start the needlework until I gave full approval. All along the way he not only welcomed feedback, he regularly asked for it. Doing the actual tattoo, he was fast, but also extremely skilled. He perfectly matched the colors I showed him from an example. The best part of all were the great conversations we had while he worked, which distracted me from the pain. Finally, the value of his art not only surprised me, but everyone who I've shown since getting the tattoo. I'm very impressed with Josh's skill, and so is everyone else!
