I had my sparse eyebrows tattooed and I only wish I'd done it sooner. Jane did a great job. She's confident and experienced, something you want when getting a tattoo on your face. She assessed, as another reviewer termed it, my face canvas. I have one eye that drops and so she factored that in when she drew on what she planned to do. Then she commenced to getting on with it. It's not a long procedure but it isn't pain-free. So she goes in short bursts and advises you to wiggle your feet to give you something else to focus on. It seems silly but it worked. She's very clear about the after care, giving you a small packet of ointment and cotton swabs. Everything progressed exactly as she said (too dark, too light, just right). This is the second time I've had my eyeliner tattooed.   I went somewhere else for the first time. I used to be so self conscious about my eyebrows; they were thin, little, barely-there lines above my eyes. I had over tweezed my eyebrows as an adolescent, and my thick, Italian brows were gone forever - almost. Jane is an absolute treasure!I chose Jane to go to to have my lips 'touched up', after doing quite a bit of research looking for 'the one' I wanted to work on my face (a pretty big deal, right?!).  I had had my lips fully tattooed probably at least 15 years ago and it was time for a 'refresh'.  I wasn't sure if I should do the full lip again, or just the liner.  Jane, being so experienced and knowledgeable and skilled in her art, did not feel the full lip would be the thing to do, due to the way my initial tattooing was done (by another artist) all those years ago, so we went for the liner.  I was interested in making my lips more symmetrical, and also the border was beginning to dissipate, so we needed to define them as well.This lady is an artist in the fullest sense of the word ... she's amazing.  She took plenty of time to 'assess the canvas', so to speak, chose the perfect shade for me, drew the most perfect pair of lips for ME, walked me through (and held my hand - metaphorically - when necessary), the entire process as we went.  She did everything she could to ensure my comfort, both physically and mentally, she warned me when the procedure might be a bit sensitive, was patient and kind and ... I waited a few months before writing a review because I wanted to really know what I thought. I never met Jane before and I think she is lovely. Here are my reasons for why I would recommend her work to my mother, my friends, and strangers. 1: Time saving. I have what my husband calls the trifecta of trouble. The baby, the toddler, and the tween. All boys. All the time. I don't have time to shower, nonetheless put on makeup. 2: Cost. I spend roughly $80/year on eyebrow pencils. That includes running out to Walgreens and maybe finding one that might work because I didn't have time (see above) or the funds to order the expensive one that I know works. 3: Artistic talent is just that, talent. No matter how many YouTube videos I watched, diagrams I downloaded, or information I gleaned from my many friends who are Aestheticians or MUA's, I don't have the talent. I swear I inherited an eyebrow from each parent, and then they slowly disappeared with each kid. Trying to get them remotely close to each other and symmetric to my face was simply impossible, no matter how hard I tried. 4: Self Esteem. I wake up with better brows than Sleeping Beauty. When I was in Massage school many years ago I remember a teacher explaining the importance of facial anatomy and saying, "If you ever want to look 10 years younger, get a brow wax." Brows are that important. 5: Staying Power. Sweat, pool, drool, moving hair off my face, lick attacks... worries of the past. Jane is an artist. Let your face be her canvas and you won't regret it. Also, tip. I was in such a hurry I forgot on my first visit and felt terrible. Her service and talents well deserve compensation beyond what she charges for them.I also want to add that I am half English and half Greek, my natural hair color is an impossible combination from random blonde and red hairs to random thick black hairs. My skin has just enough olive tone to throw off any makeup. I had the same stereotypical fears of getting my brows tattooed but this was a life changing appointment! No more spending minute after minute trying to get my brows just right. My boyfriend use to wipe off my eyebrows lol and now I am no longer a victim of walking around with half a brow! Jane is the best of the best with permanent makeup. She first drew on the shape with a brow pencil until she felt they were perfect then had me look to see if I'd make any changes. There were absolutely zero changes I would've made, the shape was beautiful as well as the color. She keeps in mind the tone of your skin and what color brow would look best as well as how aging may play a part.Once on the table she really controls what's going on for obvious reasons.
