Walked in on a whim. Walked out satisfied!What caught my eye when I walked in was that this shop is so damn clean.One of the artist there, "Duck" greeted me. I explained that I wanted an old tattoo covered up. it was forty-three years old and looking like a blob. Without hesitation he said he'd take care of me. I was given the choice of waiting to get it done right then and there or make an appointment. I asked how long it would take and his response was......."I don't rush, so I can't give you an amount of time". I decided to wait while he drew what I wanted. A very pleasant place, except for the music that was playing. Old school tunes would have made it. Anyway...... when it was time to get my tattoo make over, he had me sit on a comfortable leather bed, he wore gloves, covered arm rest with a clean disinfected, disposable paper mat. Like the kind used in a doctor's patient room.Duck did an amazing job. I was so pleased with the results. I came here Saturday spontaneously for a couple of simple, small tattoos and they happened to have an opening right then and there. Rick was awesome and did such a good job. The place looks amazing and has great vibes. The dude that worked on me was cool but i felt i was over charged for the tattoo that took to draw it up, place it, tattoo it within an hour tattoo is the size of my palm 150$+$20tip. I was very verbal and upfront what I wanted checked in with him multiple times making sure we were on the same page. One part of the tattoo was colored i wanted it to be bright yellow i asked him if it would get brighter he said yes it would it was pretty light brownish already a hint of yellow . It didn't lighten up, its dark now I have to get it re-done, he shaded to much of it which I didn't want but I was chilling laying down when it was getting done, you gotta trust your artist is looking out for what you want not what he thinks it needs, can't do anything after it's on there. It's not a terrible tattoo I do have love for it. I just dont feel i was looked out for just for $$. Read Less

Ernie at Top Rocker Tattoo is amazing. Not only did he create and do a fantastic design on my foot and ankle, he was able to incorporate my very first tattoo into the design. He also touched up and improved a wrist tattoo I had done there by another artist who had gone when I went back for touch ups. We took are daughter here for her first tattoo on her birthday. She wanted a treble clef tattoo on her shoulder. She could not have been happier. Rick was the artist that performed work. I went in a week ago to get my nipples pierced and it went so smoothly. I was nervous to get them done but the guy who did them (I wish I could remember his name because he was great) reassured me that there's nothing to be nervous about. He was super professional and worked quickly. I paid $60 which is awesome because several shops told me they charge $80-120. I like to think of myself as a tattoo connoisseur as I am quite covered in ink ... I've been under the needle by many an artist ... so, I believe I know what a great tattoo shop has to offer ... And Top Rocker is the place. It's not just the art (all tattoos are a representation of the artist) but, it is the atmosphere, the conversation, the temperature of the room, the music playing during the pain session, the personality of and the heavy or light touch of the artist, the healing technique/process, the way you are greeted/welcomed, no interruptions by walk ins, and yeah the price is important (but you get what you pay for) whether hourly or quoted total ... and of course you gotta love the finished product that you will wear for life. Top Rocker fits the bill .... Ernie is my artist and I've been seeing him for about 3 months now as we add and create to my skin an expression of his artistic ability as well as my desired tattoos. Then, hoping not to be turned away since I had not scheduled an appointment, Janette greeted me and assured me I would be seen in the same day! I got a tattoo here a few years ago so I'm just making my review off of that. First off, lovely location and upon visiting family I thought it would be a great place to get a tattoo. The man who booked my appointment was very nice and set me up with an artist. To this day, I don't think either of them gave me his name.I showed up to the shop to get my tattoo, a simple script piece on the side of my wrist. I will also say the shop was clean and very well put together. However, my artist did not listen to me at all and the resulting tattoo is a disaster. The ink blew out, half the design came off in two days, and once transferred onto my skin he tattooed it a size too small. I was not happy, but was upset enough to just go home. I returned a few weeks later in hopes of getting the blown out part fixed and was told it was my fault. I was offended because I have other tattoos and some in quite difficult to heal areas and they've done swimmingly.Now, years later people see the tattoo and think it's fake or something I got done in a garage. I'm very embarrassed by it. I sincerely hope this unnamed artist was fired since I'm just over it and won't ever be back. Read Less

We have been wanting to get tattoes for years and finally dicided to do it. We called someone who recently had gotten a tatto and she reccommended Top Rocker Tattoo. We stopped by to check it out; looked totally professional and very clean. We made an appointment and returned later to have Khris do our tats. We each wanted a small tattoo; about 1 1/2 in. and Kris worked with us until we were satisfied and then walked us through the process, expaining everything as he did our specified art work.
