I have been looking for a new tattoo artist for some time now. I had some older work that I wanted either covered up or redone. I met several different "artists" that made me feel like changing my previous tattoo work would be a hassle and that I could only pick something really busy to cover it up like a snake or dragon, etc. K-ta was the first artist that I met that made me feel comfortable about my tattoo related goals. She took the time to look at my work and discuss options with me. She ended up doing a cover up for me and I couldn't be more happy with it. I only gave her an idea of the things I wanted to incorporate into the cover up and she pretty much free handed the entire thing as she tattooed. She told me that she liked doing cover ups because she enjoyed the challenge and because it made her feel good when her clients walked away with something they were happy with. Hollis is great. I came in for a touch up on a 10 year old tattoo that had faded. Here is the story. I had a giant scar on my shoulder. Nobody in town would touch it. Hollis agreed to tattoo my scar. The original work was fantastic. Scar tissue is not normal skin, so the ink acts differently and ages differently and had faded a lot. Hollis stood 100% behind his work. Nice shop. Very clean. I got a tattoo of Majin Vegeta this month. I scouted the west side valley for a couple artists and this was my last stop. Fortunately for me I ran into K-Ta and learned this artist is highly versatile in many styles of art, so I felt comfortable after our consultation that she would do my tattoo justice. I've received tons of compliments already and I've had this less than a month. Not that I'm going for compliments but, it's nice to know people appreciate the great job someone did. Everybody that put a 5 start here was probably bribed. This place sucks! The worst customer service I've even seen in my life. My 5 year old son could have drawn a better tattoo than what these people here can do. To get an appointment it's a pain in the ass. They're never available and when they're available you get to the shop and they send you home. NEVER EVER PAY IN ADVANCE! they will take your money and never finish your tattoo. Read Less

George is simply amazing. He has done all of my tats aside from one, but that one he covered up for me because it was a mistake to stray from him! He is truly talented, but not only that, he is willing to come in early or leave late in order to accommodate you. I came in from Reno, NV and he showed up bright & early on his day off. Also, I want to note that the WHOLE shop is awesome. They kept coming over while George was tatting me and complimenting the tat and joking around... & I appreciated the funny distractions, because my tattoo is on the back of my arm - PAINFUL. I went in for my first tattoo yesterday and it was a really great experience! I was a couple minute late due to car troubles but K-ta was very understanding and still let me get my tattoo! Thursday I had asked for just an outline of the continents and the next day on Friday I asked how much more it would cost for a small paper airplane as well and she did it and colored it with white at no cost! I came here Friday the 13th for a small flash tattoo and this place was packed! in my personal experience, normally the feeling I get from parlors is that the customer is kind of an inconvenience to the tattooers, they are all too happy to take the money but not to polite in dealing with the customer. This place is not that way. They were polite and friendly and calm in managing all these people that wanted to get some quick ink. There was a nice lady working the desk who kept it all in line and it was fair, you go on a list and wait your turn. She would even call people who weren't there to let them know they were up. That kind of service is really unheard of in the tattoo world, again my personal experiences. My wife and I got our work done by Johnny and he was very nice and courteous. Paid $60 down to get my tattoo. Scheduled an appointment for a few weeks later and in that time it was almost impossible to collaborate on what I wanted. Was told multiple times that I would receive an email with the sketch but never did. Then the day came to get my tattoo, took the day off of work, and then received an email 30 min before my appointment saying it was canceled and would plan and receive a sketch later that day. 2-3 weeks go by with no reply to emails so I decided to call and when I asked what was going on there was zero concern about me or my time. I went into Iconic Tattoo after I saw the work Hollis had done to fix the horrific tattoo a friend had done at another shop. Her ink was gorgeous after he was done with her. I told him I needed 3 sparrows in very specific colors, but didn't have anything else in mind, but the sparrows & colors were very important. He took it from there, and what I ended up with was everything I didn't even know I wanted. Not only is my tattoo perfect, we had a blast while I was there. My tattoo is very visible, covers the side of my right leg, I get compliments from people all the time & they ask where I had it done.
