DO NOT GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS! I recently moved to PHX and was in need of a jewelry change on my nose piercing. I wanted to trade my post for a seamless hoop. So I took to Yelp and found Immortal. After reading through the reviews, I decided I would give them a call to check jewelry inventory and availability to do the switch. Morgan, THE PIERCER, answered the phone. My first question was if they had SEAMLESS hoops. He said yes. My second question was if they had ROSE GOLD options. His answer was yes depending on the gauge. I asked if he had availability which he did so I headed over. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Morgan who directed me straight into the piercing room. I found it odd he didn't start with jewelry options but I went with it. I sat in the chair and he measured the piercing to see what size hoop I would need. He then showed me a hoop WITH A CAPTIVE BEAD. THE OPPOSITE OF SEAMLESS. AND STAINLESS STEEL. When I responded with "oh you don't have any seamless jewelry (which he said over the phone that they did) his response was "that's the bead that holds it together". Um. Hello. I asked for seamless. Seamless doesn't exist because it doesn't hold itself together. It exists because someone created a way to get rid of the captive bead. But I really needed to get the post out and for $20, fine. When I asked one more time about rose gold options, he said the gauges he had were too big. I'll later find out the crap hoop he put in anyway was too big of a gauge too. He then proceeded to pretty much rip my post out which caused an instant burn and pain. But the jewelry was out and I couldnt leave without something in so I let him continue. His first attempt to get the hoop in didn't go well. Both eyes immediately started watering and my nose was in a lot of pain. After THREE more attempts inclusive of him blaming it on the piercing being "not straight", he finally got the jewelry in. When I finally got to see it, I immediately realized why it took him 4 times to get it in. He shoved too big of a gauge in. Like an 18 through a 22. I dont know if this was an off day or he just reeeeaaallllyyy wanted that $20 but whatever the reason, I will never go back. I emailed the shop in an effort to let management know of my experience and have yet to receive a response. It's September 18th. I emailed them August 21. Until maybe a week ago, my nose had to go through a healing process all over again and it hurt even more then when I first got it pierced.Need a piercing or jewelry change? Go anywhere but here. I just moved to Scottsdale in December and was in search of an awesome tattoo shop to get some work done. In March, I decided to check out Immortal Art and spoke with one of the artists (and owner of the shop), Daniel Stella. He was very friendly and professional as we sat and talked about ideas for a tattoo I had been wanting for awhile. We came up with a solid idea and I had returned a few weeks later to get my tattoo done. I had a great experience getting tattooed at Immortal Art; all of the artists were really nice, the shop is very clean. Also, I got a an amazing, original tattoo done and returned recently to get my second tatoo dome there. I would recommend this tattoo parlor to anyone that wants quality tattoo work at nice a shop! I have a 15 1/2 year old who wanted her nose pierced. We called in advance and got the required documents so that she could have it done. We show up i gave them my daughters birth certificate from Massachusetts and they wouldnt accept it. The guy who does the piercing had never seen a birth cert from mass and would not accept it. He just kept saying I'm used to seeing a different kind of document and that all he kept saying. Then stated well its traumatic to piece body parts etc.  I explained i have no other legal document other than this legal birth certificate to provide. Didn't matter he just kept saying he had never seen one like that. We then left and my daughter was so upset. Why is it that every one else including her school will accept this legal document but they won't. Total bullshit because last year they pierced her cartilage  (upper ear) with no question. DO NOT GET PIERCINGS HERE! After 8 months of pain and suffering, infections and antibiotics, I found out from a Professional that my piercing was "shredded", pierced crooked, and the wrong type of earring was put in, which all three put together caused my issues. I went back to Immortal Art three separate times for help and was told that everything was OK and to let it heal....They were obviously VERY wrong. Been shopping around for a place for my son who wanted to get a simple Roman Numeral tat on his inner forearm when remembered this place... my mother got her first tattoo for her 50th birthday 6 years ago. My brother & sister in law got their wedding tats here 18 years ago. . . and I got my belly button pierced here ... 20 years ago... so naturally we thought we would keep it in the family & bring our son here for his Christmas present, under the new management team. My husband stopped by a few days earlier explaining our particular situation as our kid is 17 1/2 and wanted this just a few months before his birthday. The guy at the counter was very courteous to my husband and thoroughly explained what forms of id needed to comply with the store and state policies. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the guy behind the counter and shared what my son wanted. They gave us a proper quote and had us throughly go over the paperwork involved. And had an artist (Justin) who best fit what we wanted come meet and go over everything with my son. Justin took us all back into their very tidy and clean and sterile looking back rooms, and even grabbed chairs for us to watch up close. He was a really cool guy, who made sure we were all happy with the font, placement and quality of the tat. Not only that but he was super careful and took his time, making sure not to rush through and worked for about an hour straight on my son. The final product was on point and exactly what my son had hoped for!!! I am happy with our decision to keep this place in the family! He was really nice from the start and made absolutely sure that what he had drawn was what I wanted and took the time to position the stencil perfectly. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had walking into a tattoo shop.  The customer service was dismal from the second we walked in until the moment we decided to leave. It was clear that they could not handle us and were flustered when we showed up, which was strange considering we called to verify they had time to do three small flash tattoos. Emphasis on the word small. It seemed like they wanted to do anything and everything but take our money as we sat around the shop for a good hour and a half while literally nothing happened. One of the artists completely ignored us while instead engaging in what I can only imagine was a thrilling conversation with two other local artists who stopped by to say hello. The other artist fumble fucked around trying to figure out how to take a copy of our drivers license. And a third was simply more enthralled on playing around with his cell phone then he was in helping us at all. How this place stays in business and it's artists make a living I do not know. I had to take my nose ring out for an MRI. I put the ring back in myself and there was a tiny gap. I wanted it fitted back the way it was. I called this place and asked if they could put the ring back in my nose and they said yes, for $20. I guess I assumed they would fit it the way it's supposed to. It cost me $20 for them to do EXACTLY what I did myself. And when I asked the guy to have the ring touch the ball he said it'd be another $20 to get a different tool out. What the heck? Shady business. I don't recommend anyone to come here - they're shady and don't do morally good business. What a freaking waste of my money! Read Less

The majority of the staff is rude and very unfriendly. The only one that was nice was Todd. However, as you continue in conversation you can tell he is a narcissist and sociopath. This was realized during the tattoo. He was very late taking me for my appointment and when he got to me he did not have my drawing and had to smoke several times before even beginning to draw it up. The piece is not as centered/straight as I think it should be. Some of the red already is disappearing and I take VERY good care of my work. My skull almost looks like Michael jackson with his horrible nose job. Rather than spending more money on tattoos, I am now spending money to get some of the face lasered so I can have someone fix it. I will not be returning to the shop. This shop is great if you dont know anything about great tattoos because you wont know the difference. Read Less

I recently went to Immortal to cover-up a tattoo I got eight years ago. It's in an awkward spot and is reasonably large. I've gone to different shops and had artists look at it but no one had any solutions for me..until I went to El at Immortal. He immediately had a ""can-do"" attitude and put my worries at ease. We discussed a couple of options and when I went in for the first sitting, I was in love with what he drew for me! My old tattoo is long gone and my new piece is beautiful! I first went to Immortal Arts to see EL when my fellow coworkers suggested him. I had admired the work he did on them and so, I scheduled an appointment. I had 2 pieces I wanted to cover up, which then has led me to a full back piece by the tattoo artist, EL. Since I first stepped into the doors of the shop, I have always felt welcomed. Their shop is clean, they practice proper safety technique. Why I prefer EL is that he is able to tell when a sitting has gone too long. He is able to read my body responses and knows exactly when I need a break (since I tend to bombard him with 2 to 4 hr sittings). His specialty is Japanese and Old School/Traditional work, so if you are seeking such pieces, I highly suggest you see EL. Besides, he is cute and single! Mike (the guy with a beard and mustache, was amazing, he helped change my tattoo to something that looked just as good if not 100 times better than the one i sketched out and he was awesome! it turned out amazing and he was the best. He was considerate, and made sure i was doin alright the whole time, he even walked out with me when i wanted a cigarette to make sure i wasnt lightheaded. That to me is taking an extra step. So i disagree with everyone who says that they aren't good and that everyone that works there other than Morgan, who is also awesome, is an as***le and dont do a good job! I love all my tattoos especially the one that i just got. Mike was and is an amazing tattoo artist with a great personality and sense of humor! I highly recommend him. He makes a good name for himself and if he disagrees to do a tattoo in a certain area its probably because he knows that it's not going to work out in the long run because of wear, they know what they're talking about. I swung by Immortal Art because it was close to work and I needed some more aftercare piercing solution. Simple enough, right? Not for this place. When I walked I was ignored just long enough to start to walk out. One of the artist huffed as he asked if could help. I told him that I was looking for aftercare solution at which time he told me their piercer was out and he couldn't help me. Nice. He then went to grab a piece of paper and started explaining to me that the piercer has instructions on saline wash as he handed me a piece of paper with ""how to make salt water"" on it. Seriously all I wanted to do was buy the damn solution they had in the damn case. I said that I was looking for the spray solution like ""H2Ocean"". He than got really rude and he gave me the line ""I know what that is I've been in the business for a long time"" he then showed me the case where it was and said he couldn't sell it to me. This isn't that complicated, seriously! No need to get rude and show me how cool you are, just sell me the damn bottle, but that was too complicated for Immortal Art. Next time I'll just drive down town and visit the kick a** crew at Halo where I wont get helped by a child and it'll probably take less time (drive included) Read Less

This place is amazing! I started going here when I had just turned 18, and my first tattoo was with Chris El. Not only is he a talented artist, he is very professional, informative and understanding. I'm now 22 and a very happy repeat customer and have recommend him to my friends and family, who have never been disappointed. They end up so happy I never hear the end of it. I have several pieces ranging in size all over my body that are all by him and I constantly get compliments on color, shading and detail from my own customers to random people at bars, to my own grandmother! The other artists do amazing work as well, and I have never once walked in and felt uncomfortable. Everyone there is professional and can have fun, which I know sometimes is difficult to balance. Nearly every other tattoo parlor I have walked into felt like everyone that worked there had something to prove, and I am always pretty intimidated to talk to them about ideas and stuff cause I kind of get treated like they don't need my business or they are too cool or something, but not at Immortal Art. I have gotten all of my piercings and tattoos there, and I will always recommend this place to everyone I talk to! If you are looking for a range of talented artists, professional but comfortable atmosphere, a good laugh, a very clean and friendly environment to get your tattoos and piercings at, you need to go to Immortal Art! omg the guys at immortal art were super cool. i had gone to other places in the state and the phoenix area and had gotten some really bad tattoos...only i didn't know they were bad untill my friends saw them and had told ne about immortal art in the scottsdale area. i thought it was to far of a drive at first (since i live in central phoenix) but i decided to give them a shot...and you know what , it was the best decision i had made for a place to get tattooed. every one there was really helpful and listened to me and my ideas of what i wanted. so i looked through there portfolios and was really impressed by what diverse talents they all had...i finally chose a guy named mike and now i am started on a full sleeve that is so beautiful . the whole vibe of that place was really cool and the guys were really funny and nice to me and everyone that i have seen go there while i have been tattooed there.. so all in all i highly reccomend this shop to anyone that wants good quality tattoos.=) Read Less

Stay away from Immortal Art unless youre looking for a piercing. The piercer Morgan is fantastic. Extremely skilled and a perfectionist. My piercings had no issues. That I highly recommend but for a tattoo... don't. I went in there and presented my ideas to an artist and he laughed me out the door. He was rude and arrogant. A big guy with a mustache and beard. He seemed to think the meaning behind my tattoo was stupid and he was gonna do it his way. When I said, ""no this is how I want it"", he threw his portfolio at me like I was supposed to be impressed... I was far from. Since I was getting my first tattoo and it was extremely large and across my ribs, I wanted a gentle artist who understood it was my first tattoo. This character told me he was $100/hr and depending on how much of a ""pain in the a**"" I was, it would most likley be more. If youre looking for quality work and are willing to make a drive from Scottsdale, I highly recommend Urban Art in Mesa. My tatttoo is gorgeous and so detailed. So unless youre looking for a piercing with Morgan... stay awake from Immortal Arts! Read Less
