I came here to get my second tattoo professionally done, since it was going to be seen by everyone. I came in with a quote, but wasnt sure of the font. The lady at the front took the quote, put it on Word and picked the font for me, i didnt really have a say. The tattoo artist, im not sure of his name, didnt talk to me what so ever. He worked with me on my concept, and even spent time tweaking it the day of the tattoo when we found the design concept wasn't going to work with the realities of human anatomy. I went in for a starfish and sand dollar and seashell tattoo on my foot. Tim was the tattoo artist. He was not customer service oriented at all. Didn't talk much. Didn't introduce himself to me. Just came out from the back and said what do you want. And totally messed up my tattoo. The starfish wasn't the color I wanted. He totally messed up on the sand dollar and seashell. Horrible service, wanted a non refundable deposit before even letting me see a sketch of what he was going go to. So if I hated it, I'm fucked out of a hundred bucks. Tells me on Facebook to swing around by 5,  then when I tell him I wasn't prepared to spend the rest of the day there (didn't tell me he was going to do that today) he proceeds to tear into me on facebook and swear at me and tell me I f***Ed up his whole day and how it's my fault he won't be able to pay his mortgage because of me. I have gotten 3/4 tattoos done here at Virtual Reality and have been happy with the art each time. I got 2 of my tattoos done by Tim in 2012-2013. This last one I got done recently by I don't know who because I didn't even get an introduction. I'm happy with everything I have gotten from here so far, but this last one was different. It was really impersonal and I didn't even get 2 words in on aftercare. I mean, luckily I have tattoos, but I feel like that's common courtesy... especially since none of them were visible at the time. I wasn't asked any questions besides how big and how much. Read Less

Went in for me first tattoo, Friday the 13th sale, and I absolutely adore it. I'm not sure the name of the artist, but he was very friendly and patient with me despite having to work such a long shift (i was one of the last customers in for the sale) and he did an amazing job. I'm not sure where or when I'll get my next ink, but Virtual Reality will definitely be considered for it. Read Less

The guy wasn't even going to shave me before the tat until I told him I thought it was necessary. The lettering is sloppy and some parts of the lettering are so fucked up I'm legitimately pissed off with how they allow a half assed "artist" to do work on people. I'm never going back there. There is no excuse for the terrible job that was done. On top of that even tho it's THIER mistake I'M expected to pay to get THEIR mistake fixed. That's some real unprofessional assed bullshit. Now I have to pay a real artist to cover this piece of shit up. I'll be damned if I'd ever go back to the lousy place that fucked up my tat the first time. I went in with my boyfriend to get tattoos. We both had lettering done and requested we get a tattoo artist best at lettering. We got told they were all excellent. Okay awesome. So we waited our turn. We both got two different artist , rob and the owner. We got our tattoos and the first thing I noticed was the owner (doing mine) seemed to be in a rush. I thought , maybe I'm overthinking. Tattooing time came and everything looked okay. Then I got home, took the bandage off and washed my tattoo.  I was highly disappointed with the quality and work of my tattoo. I got the word "faith" tattooed on my chest. The line work was terrible and shaky. The 'F' had missing spots were It should have been filled in, the ' a ' looks more like an 'o' and the heart looks like a kindergartener drew up. I said something to the artist about the heart , but got told it would look better after its healed instead of offering to fix it. I now have to pay to get my tattoo covered up. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

Do not come here for a piercing..... PLEASE (I can't say for a tattoo) but these people act like they've never used a piercing needle before. Also, have no idea how to "fix" a piercing they messed up. You do not bend a piece of jewelry to make it "fit"... Here they do. (see pic)They also don't use high quality jewelry, I don't think it's even surgical steal. (I'm allergic to everything but surgical steal) and the first piece of jewelry they gave me has left my bellybutton bright red, inflamed, and irritated. (it is healed) don't come here! Read Less

Tattoo Tim is a great guy, don't let his rough around the edges kind of personality put you off!  He's done over 5 hours of custom work on my back and can take your idea and create something you'll love.Remember, it's your tattoo and you've gotta be happy with it.  Tattoo Tim is super patient on changes suggested and has a great eye for aesthetics.My boyfriend went to get a custom design this weekend. I love this tattoo shop! My sister actually was the first one to go here when she was 18 to get her first tattoo and when she went back to get her second, I went with her. The guys are very professional and willing to work with you to make you happy. I also got my snakebite piercings fixed up by Kregger, their awesome piercing guy, after getting them done completely wrong at another tattoo shop. It's a little inconvenient that they don't accept  credit cards but they're the best hands down. My tattoo guy has moved now but I'll still keep going there. Read Less
