DON’T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!I would like to inform everyone of the “Top Notch” service provided by Unforgiven Tattoo. I am taking the time to write this review not only because the service provided was above par but to also inform those who have never had a tattoo and those that have experienced bad tattoo artists, you will only experience talent and excellence at this location. First and foremost I do not work for their establishment nor am I receiving any types of royalties for writing this review. It is truly from the heart and I hope that the passion is portrayed though my words. I would like to disclose that I have never been tatted in my life. I am a business professional and in my later stage of life I wanted to get something symbolic and holding some internal meaning as a first tat. I did my due diligence and researched every tat artist within the greater Phoenix area. Part of my research was meeting with the actual artists. Let me just say that out of over 50 artists that I met, I truly felt at ease and settled with both artists at Unforgiven Tattoo.Due to the nature of the tats desired, out of the two award winning and renowned artists I ended up with Kirk and have “No Regrets”! He wasn’t rough with the needle and had a steady hand throughout which added to the best first experience anyone can ask for. I requested two tats, one on my upper shoulder and one on my lower back. Although there was a difference on how the needle felt on each location, it was nonetheless the same smooth and painless experience on both ends. Both designs came out “Excellent”! Now here’s my overall interpretation and feedback of the entire process:First – The before and after instructions were to the point and assisted in the preservation of my still awesome looking tats.Second - My background is in healthcare and I can honestly give their location an A++ in cleanliness and hygiene. I have been through many OSHA inspections and their facility would be rated as a “Zero Deficiency” location.Third – I realize that this is one of many reviews out there but keep this in mind. With thousands of tattoo locations scattered throughout the Southwest and hundreds of reviews written on them, mostly negative and without substance; Isn’t it a breath of fresh air to read one from someone like myself that has taken his time to truly emphasize the meaning of going to a tattoo artist in the first place. It boils down to three things in my opinion: Expertise quality work, safety in the work being performed, and a professional environment that eases all tensions and provides you with excellent outcomes.Again, there are many good and bad tattoo artists scattered nationwide. I had my tongue pierced here. It was clean, professional and a cool place. The prices were great.I recently started donating plasma and needed a letter from my piercer stating that they're a licensed and sterile shop. I called them and was expecting to be hassled about it. I went it with a very simple request, easy design that anyone could draw. I left with a tattoo that was less then satisfactory! I asked for two stars with some slight shading in color, the person I dealt with colored OUTSIDE the very bold line, then told me to get it wet and when it scabbed to pick off the scab and the color would come off. Needless to say that did not work. Then when I went back they used water in the needle to go over the BIG mistake and swore that would take the color out...that didn't work either! Now a tribute to my child is ruined and has me scared to get any more tattoos!!! And I love tattoos!Read Less

Very happy with the tattoo and artist. I was very aprehensive with picking a shop, and went into at least a dozen or more before settling on this one. They took the time to get the stencil right, and were very obliging to redo portions of it before applying... My artist had a very light hand and i was really impressed with the detail of his work. Jim Springfield Is AMAZING!!!!! Proffessional, Couteous, and Caring. You will feel relaxed and comfortable in his chair. His expierience will guide you through the whole process. I have gotten many tattoos from Jim. The first one was a color tattoo.It healed beautifully and the color is outragous, so bright, I get compliments on it every day. The next one was a Black & Grey Portrait, looks identical to the picture, flawless. People ask me all the time where did you get THAT????? I tell the Jim from Unforgiven Tattoo, He is my man. I would not go to anyone else, I only trust him. The shop is super clean and sterile, and he takes time to draw something for you that no one else will have, this is not your ordinary shop.
