If you are planning on getting a tattoo, here is WHERE NOT TO GO!!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS!My daughter and I made appts for June 17th at 10:00, to have a tattoo in memory of my mom, who passed away in November. June 17th was her birthday, and the reason we wanted to get the tattoo that day. We show up for our appts, but Derrick Neu did not. He tells us he put us in his calendar for 1:00. We tell him he made our appts at 10, because he had something to do at 1. He wanted to make the appt for later, but we told him based on our appt being done by 1, we had invited people over our house at 3:00 for a Celebration of Life, we didn't have time to reschedule, or even wait the "45 mins or so" it would take for him to get there. We asked for our $80 deposit back ($40 for each one of us), which he said he would return. As of today (June 28) we have not gotten anything but promises. After he said he would return the deposit and didn't , we tried contacting him, with no return acknowledgement. The next day when I texted the same message to both numbers I have for him, he finally answers and says he said he forgot his car payment was due, and the $$ went to that. (This is after he told us about a "big settlement" he got from being body slammed by his "friend".) Again, we asked to have our deposit returned. He said he would after he did a tattoo that afternoon. Nothing. The following day we asked again, this time we were told he hadn't counted on having to give our $$ back, so the $$ went to something else. He said if we give him time to "get on his feet" he would send our $$ back. We gave him a couple of more days and asked again. This time he said the deposit was for his time and drawings of what it was we were wanting to get (all of 30-40 mins, if that). I told him that we had 3 other artists sit with us to see if they could capture what we wanted, and when they didn't feel they could do what we wanted, they DID NOT charge anything. I also told him the owner of one parlor explained that their sitting with us is their "interview" and then selling themselves, we shouldn't pay for that. He also explained (and I told Derrick) that the deposit is in case we, the customer, fail to show up, causing the artist to lose $$. He also said that if any of his artists failed to show up for an appt, the customer gets their deposit back, if he doesn't have anyone else they want to do it, or if no one else is available. No response from Derrick. I sent him another message a day or so later, telling him we are having to borrow $$ for gas and we would really like our $$. He said, once again, that he would send it. Still nothing. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY! He may be a talented artist, but he has TERRIBLE business ethics! Read Less
