First off let me say sorry for the late delay of posting this review considering my experience here was 11/13/15(Friday the 13th) but let me add that I was just able to put in the Jewelry I actually wanted in 2 months ago. I went to this tattoo and piercing shop because they were doing the famous Friday the 13th deal. So I did the $13 piercing, I got two on the same ear next to each other. Of course the pain was expected but I left there happy with my new piercings and even left the guy a $10 tip for doing the job. However my happiness quickly faded. Now I'm not new to piercings, I have my belly done, neck done and another four piercings in each of my ears so when this was still tinder after a month and still red, I became concerned. I went to my usual go to shop, Club Tattoo(the only reason I didn't get the piercings done there is because they don't do the deals but you get what you pay for and I learned this the hard way) I had their piercer take a look at it. Not only did he use too thick of a needle but he also put lip jewelry in my ear!!!!!! The piercer couldn't even take out the jewelry because it was so painful!!! He had to drain my ear and then I had to go back to him two weeks later to get proper jewelry in my ear. And like I said I just got some new jewelry in my ear, the jewelry I actually wanted but because of the placement of the two I am limited to what jewelry I can buy. In my opinion this place sucks!!!! And if your out of ear jewelry tell your customers that!!! Don't f$&@ up their ear!Read Less

Amber Star, tattoo artist, painter, motivational speaker, and some of the best company you'll ever meet. The only reason I give five stars, is because six wasn't an option. Happy with her services is an understatement. She's nice, super understanding of your wants and needs, and will make your skin look better than you thought possible with the addition of her hand drawn art. You won't find "copy and paste" style here, she custome draws each tattoo to meet you wants and needs.... She could be pepper sprayed, using prison style tattoo machine with ball point ink, with the wrong hand, and your tattoo would still be better looking than you could possibly imagine. But she won't, she's way more professional. She uses the highest of quality inks, top rated machines, and is so clean she'd make my old drill instructor from boot camp be proud. Wanting a traditional style black and white? Check. Trying to branch out and try something crazy to rebel against your conformist parents? Also check. Whatever you need, she can handle. So far I have come here twice. I first came here for a new tragus piercing. Jake was very friendly and he did a really great job. I have never had a piercing heal so fast! The second time I came here my sister and I were getting matching tattoos. We gave our design to Ben and he asked us if he could add some shading. I got my tattoo done by Haley the apprentice. And even though she is an apprentice she is amazing. She did a voodoo doll on me and an anchor on my dad. Best shop I've been to. Not really sure about the validity of the other reviews on here, I've had work done by both Keith and Chris, each piece becoming my new favorite. The prices are what you'd expect anywhere that provides the services of ARTISTS, which is what you'll find at Instinktive. All but one of the tattoos I've had there have been freehand and look outstanding. A lot of the other shops in the Valley act like they are celebrities, fail to acknowledge customers, and scoff at anything besides their style. I recommend this place to all my friends, and will be going there for work as long as they are there.Read Less

I've been looking for a good tattoo artist for years but either the shops I checked out felt like an assembly line, the artists were detached, mediocre or they had severe attitudes which all turn me off. This place was absolutely amazing. I went in as a walk in and within 15 minutes I was sitting in a chair ready to go. I had Keith as my artist. I went here to get my first tattoo and i must say that i was extremely nervous about it. I wanted to get a pretty complicated upper arm sleeve on my left arm that was brimming with details and spent many hours at night on my bed wondering how it will turn out, but apparently all that worrying was for naught. Keith, the master that he is, was able to exceed my irrationally high expectations and just absolutely shatter them and leave me in awe. Seeing pictures of his work is one thing, but looking at it in person is a completely different beast and i'm so happy that i have one of his works on my arm. I was referred here by my sister who was extremely happy with a tattoo she received. Since I am new to this, I only wanted to get one from a place that I already knew to do great work. The artists here know what they are doing. About 4 weeks ago I went in to InstInkTive Tattoo for a cover-up tattoo on my hip based on a recommendation from a friend. I had never seen or heard of the shop, or seen the artist's work, but I took a huge leap of faith and went for it. I am so glad I did. From the moment I waked in to the shop, the experience was awesome. It's clean, professional, and everyone was very nice and welcoming.Keith did my tattoo and he was great about working with me to get a design I liked and was comfortable with. The tattooing experience itself was one of the best I've ever had, and my tattoo healed faster than anything else I've gotten done - follow his aftercare instructions to the letter, it works miracles! Now that it's almost completely healed, you can't even see the original tattoo and it looks so good. Very impressed with this pace and Chris in particular! I went in because I had an eyebrow piercing done in Vegas and I was having some problems. Even thought it wasn't his work, Chris took time with me to explain to me how to care for it (I had gotten bad after care instructions) and even ended up changing out the jewelry for me.
