(Disclaimer - I'm not really a tattoo/piercing type person.)  My daughter and her friend wanted to get a nose and belly button piercing.  So I did extensive yelp and google research, and Rad-A-Tat had great reviews.  We went in to check it out, ready to leave if any bad vibes.   The store was clean.  The staff was friendly.  They required parental approval (which is right and good).  We stayed.   They explained the process and how to care for the piercing.   Our girl asked multiple times if we were happy with the location of the piercing before the actual piercing took place.  She reassured my daughter is was OK to say she didn't like the location.  It was quick, very clean, professional, and I felt comfortable with the whole experience (which is saying a lot!).  I would definitely recommend Rad-A-Tat! I had my septum repierced here by Emilie and it was a great experience. I get VERY nervous whenever I get a tattoo or piercing done, but she was very kind and even had her husband hold my hand as she did the piercing. The first time I had my septum pierced (at a completely different shop) it went pretty badly and was traumatic for me but she was understanding and calmed my nerves. She answered all of my questions and was very professional throughout. The piercing process was quick and very clean. It's a little more than a week later and it's healing really well. I've been coming here since i was 16.... The amount of love and comfort this place gives me is absolutely incredible I always feel so welcomed coming in. So I  checked this place out because I had a referral by a friend of mind.. I came in & I could immediately tell that these aren't trained professionals.. I actually left the first night because I kept the thought of "You get what you pay for" in my head.. but decided I wanted my naval piercing bad enough to go back and follow through a couple of days later.. I came back, there wasn't a single customer.. one of the staff members took my back put on some gloves and pierced my right away. Not once was I asked if I had questions or concerns, nor did she wash her hands. I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable because I didn't even get to see where she had planned to pierce me. Not once was I consulted or even interacted with as a real client should be.. two weeks later I had three doctor visits who said that it was infected.. However I went to HTC Body Piercing over off of Mill and they were extremely helpful!! I have previously gone to HTC to get my nose pierced but wanted to give Rad-A-Tat a try because it was close & cheap.. like I said at the beginning.. you get what you pay for. My belly button wasn't infected HOWEVER HTC said that I should have never been pierced in the first place. Not only was my navel piercing crooked, but because of its location it became easily irritated than it would have it were done properly. All of HTC's staff are registered under the Association of Professional Piercers & they offer FREE consultations & checkups even if you didn't go there originally!! Please save your money!! Got my nose pierced. Which was something I wanted to do years ago but better late than never right? The place was very clean and the guys were awesome in customer service. They explained everything that was going to take place which still made me nervous but was also good to know what to expect. My only complaint was they only had silver nose rings and I really wanted a gold one. I ended up ordering some online and changed out the piercing. Hey guys, this is a great spot for piercings!! Came in as a walk in this afternoon - piercings done by Emily - bilateral Helix and 2nd Lobe. Awesome!! She is super fast with the needles and chats with you as well. I had been leery of getting more piercings, especially Helix, since seeing a friend of mine have a painful and awful experience when she had hers done - AT ANOTHER SHOP.Emily was great! Gave care instructions before and after - helpful since I'm a chatty gal. Thanks for putting up with my nervous chatter Emily. :-) I felt one of the 2nd lobe piercings, but no pain. Neither Helix hurt, only slight pressure when she started. She was so fast I did not hear the pop that everyone says you hear with those. NO PAIN even 4 hours later. NO SWELLING OR REDNESS either! Awesome. I have had other piercings from other places and they were no where near as easy and pain free as these. Wish I could get the pic up so you guys can see what I mean.I even got an estimate for a tattoo that seemed quite fair in comparison to other shops. First, I just have to say. If you’re looking to have your first tattoo done, like I was, you’re not going to find more pristine, more refined work than you will at Rad-A-Tat. Here we go. I do love this place.  Very homey personal feel. The guys will give you shit and it's all in love. The artistry is incredible. Real, true artists. Not only do I have an arm piece Willy designed and inked but I have fun baby tatts and they deal with them the same as they do a full piece. By far the best team of artists Arizona ever could ask for. Alan is the guy I always go to see and I got my first tattoo from him, then my second.. third.. fourth and fifth. Went in in January with my sister and niece to get piercings. I wanted my nose and a medusa. Sis wanted a monroe and niece wanted her nose pierced. The lady who pierced it (sorry I'm terrible with names) was quick, efficient, comforting and super laid back! I was coming in for a second piercing on my nose after the first one closed (was done at a different shop) and she educated me properly on what was done wrong the first time and how to avoid infections this time around. She did my medusa piercing first sensing my nervousness and although it hurt like a $&8@/, she calmly talked me through the whole process. My niece as well whom was physically shaking from nervousness. Went in on Friday night right after work on a whim. A year ago, drunk, I went to get my nipples pierced at a crappy studio and they messed them up. Fast forward to Friday and I decided I'd get my nipples pierced right after work. I went in nervously and was helped right away and the piercer tried to ease my nerves but I knew what I was in for. She let me know she would be quick and do them right. The process wasn't fun but it didn't hurt as much as the first time, surprisingly. My sisters and I haven't been all together in one place for over 10 yrs. While they were here in town it was suggested we get tattoos to strengthen our bond. They were only here for 2 days and we called around to see who could do 4 small tats for us and got some very snippy answers from almost everyone we called including a place I have been to several times. Our last hope was Rat a Tat. We called and they where happy to take us that night which was a Sunday at 8pm.
