I waited over 10 hours on Friday the 13th for a tattoo. I was told 4. Over the course of my first three hours waiting they completed 1 tattoo. Their printer has ran out of ink and gone down multiple times. Extremely unorganized. First off let me say that I  did not want to rate the shop a one star.     After being tattooed for the last six years at Divinity Tattoo in Phoenix my artist, Nicole, decided to move to Massachusetts so I was on the hunt for a new local artist    My wife, courtesy of Facebook, found Kenzi Woods tattoo page on Facebook at damaged Ink.  In Chandler.    My wife and I met with him to set up a consultation and gave them a $100 cash deposit without receiving any kind of receipt or appointment card, first red flag.    We had an appointment scheduled for two weeks after that at 4:00 PM, when we showed up at about 345, he informed us that he had just taken somebody back to do a tattoo, second red flag       Like many people have posted they do not have a receptionist and it seems like the artist take the tattoo appointments I'm selves and don't bother to write anything down.      After a very painful and heavy handed tattoo session I left the shop   My tattoo healed horribly and the end result is quite a bit of scarring on my arm which is bright red. Once the scarring became apparent I reached out several times to Kenzie to discuss with him that I was not happy with my tattoo, the way it healed, the scarring because he went over the areas too much, and the fact that I did not like the end result which was quite a bit of scarring on my arm which is bright red. Once the scarring became apparent I reached out several times to Kenzie to discuss with him that I was not happy with my tattoo and the fact that I did not want to have any more work done with him and wanted my deposit back.  At the time I paid my deposit, nobody told me that the deposit was nonrefundable.  The only way to communicate with Kenzie was to con tact him through Facebook messenger as he did not answer phone calls and text at the end of my conversation with him he told me "I'm sorry refunds are not refundable sorry for the inconvenience "and then if I "wanted to do more work he would hold my deposit for 60 days "and then he proceeded to block me on Facebook!!!  After letting that sink in and letting my anger subside I reached out to the owner of the shop Jason who instructed me to text him between the hours of 1 PM at midnight as a tattoo was very late I called him once, left two separate text over a two day period. And then waited a final day to hear back, which I did not  Please be warned, avoid the shop my tattoo that was $200 and it up costing me $300 because my artist refused to give my deposit back because I did not want to do future work with him    The result is a tattoo I'm not happy with scarring on my arm from his heavy handedness and overall just pleasure with my tattoo which is located on my forearm for everybody to see. Avoid the shop. On other yelp and Facebook reviews I see the owner reaching out to people that leave negative reviews to comment or ask them to remove the review so that they can resolve, it he has not done any of that which is very surprising    Again avoid the shop unless you want to get ripped off for your deposit !!! I got both my tragus' pierced by Jason. He runs a very clean and sterile shop, and he also fit us in last minute. We gave him a call around 6pm if he would take us in that evening and gave us a time and sure enough, we were brought back when we got there. He was fully prepped for us, gave us the lowdown on what jewelry was being placed and how to care for it. All around the shop is great and the people that run it are very nice and professional. Kenzi did a mother/daughter beauty and the beast tattoo for my mom and I yesterday (7/10). He did an AMAZING job. He also made my mom laugh so hard, I've never seen her so open with a stranger before. We will definitely be coming back for more ink (and laughs) in the future!!! Read Less

All of the staff we encountered at Damaged Ink were very knowledgeable, down-to-Earth, and remained professional. All of the artists have beautiful examples but Mark Melanson is legit! I made an appointment with Jayson to do my daughter's first tattoo, we made the appointment two weeks ago, I called three days ago to confirm, showed up 10 min before her scheduled appointment of 1pm and the shop was locked, no one there! We waited around even though the hours said they were to open at noon. Called the shop as well as Jaysons cell multiple times with no answer! Luckily Rocky from AZ ink squeezed her in! I came in with an appt with Mark. I have worked with him previously and wanted only him to finish my piece. He is amazing. There aren't enough stars to give here. I told him what I was looking to do to finish what he started previously and I gave the driver seat to him to let him do his thing. I'm so glad I did. I love my tattoo! Thank you Mark! On vacation and decided to check this place out. Came here a couple days ago for an eyebrow ring and asked some questions about my microdermals. The owner was very helpful and told me the place I had gotten them done at in WI probably didn't pierce them correctly. One of my microdermals was starting to come out and he offered to rotate it for me at no charge. Everyone was super friendly here. Also loving the artwork! They kicked out a drunk guy who wanted a tattoo. He came back with a gun and fired three shots inside. Almost killed a little girl. I'd say be more careful with the crazies who you kick out. My tattoo was perfect but had to deduct 2 stars for almost dying. 3/5 experience. Read Less

Got my 1st tattoo yesterday and Kenzie did an amazing job on my walk in and made me feel comfortable and to not be scared. Also my boyfriend got a half sleeve done at the same sitting and while Kenzie prepared the sketch his artwork was even better. His attention to detail was amazing for both tattoos. I absolutely love this shop!! I have gotten tattoos by both Jason & Tony. Jason did my very first tattoo which was script. I brought in some Internet font & instead he used his own handwriting,  which is BEAUTIFUL! Then he drew up a teddy bear for me which came out absolutely amazing. At nail salons, drive thrus, everyone who sees it asks who did it & tells me they love it. I am so happy with the work he's done on me. Tony did a huge skull &flower piece on my upper arm. Once again, everyone that sees it wants to know who did it & loves it. Also, have had Tony do lots of my piercings. When I got my dermals I was pretty nervous & he sat and waited patiently until I was ready. Tony is hilarious so if you're getting tattooed or pierced by him, it'll be a great experience. This is the cleanest most professional shop I've ever been to. All the artists are extremely polite and welcoming. Ive been coming here for 2 years working on a sleeve. I get so many compliments on my ink, even the work that was done 2 years ago. The color is still bright and the black is still black. The white has really held up as well. Very friendly yet very unprofessional. A group of friends and I went in for their Friday the 13th deal and were told our wait was roughly 4-5 hours so we left and came back  5 hours later and were then told that the wait was still 4-5 hours and that we would receive a phone call once they were ready for us. We never received a call and when we called the shop they rudely apologized and said there was nothing they could do and refused to let us come in to receive the same deal even tho we arrived at the shop at 3pm the previous day Read Less

Love this tattoo shop. It's always clean in there. Every single one of the artists do amazing work. Went in and got dermal a done kyler did a really good job and tried to make it as pain free as he could. They are just about all healed up now. Great place! Me and my sister first went to a shop down the street, but we didn't get good vibes from the artist or the shop, so we decided against getting it done there. Upon walking into Damaged Ink it was good vibes all around! They were super friendly and the tattoo artist, Rick, was pretty much amazing!!
