My roommates and I came here during a drunk escapade after the impulsive idea to all get pierced at 3AM. I got an inverted vertical labret and an industrial piercing. My roommates got their nipples done. First of all, when I asked for the lip piercing, my piercer got the jewelry and the needle and started to go for it. It occurred to me that this piercing is not as common, so I said, "You know what this is, right?" And he said, "Yes, a vertical labret." I corrected him, as this piercing is just right through the middle of the bottom lip, as opposed to through the bottom and top of the bottom lip. I showed him a photo, and then he understood. Not a big deal..Well, after he did it, he realized he put the wrong jewelry in, so he changed it and basically had to re-pierce the last layer with the right jewelry. After I looked in the mirror, I was half-satisfied. I was happy to finally get this piercing that I wanted for awhile, but it was WAY lower than I asked for. Before we did the piercing, he marked my lip with a marker so I could decide the placement, and I kept telling him I wanted it higher! He nodded and agreed, but he pierced it lower. After my lip, I watched my friends get their nipples pierced. It seemed like it went okay until a few days later... we all realized that one of the girls has hers sitting cock-eyed. It is totally diagonal instead of straight across. It's been a week, and she's still complaining of how bad it hurts. After I watched theirs, and they told me my total for the piercing, I was shocked at how inexpensive it was. So I decided to also to get my industrial pierced. This piercing is why I am writing this bad review. He did not use gloves, and the angle that he pierced it, the bar was slicing into ear and left my skin open and raw after days of pressure of the post cutting into my skin. As I said, we got pierced about a week ago, and just today after I couldn't take the pain of my ear anymore; and saw it was just getting worse, I went to HTC (a trusted body piercing shop) and they were shocked at how bad this piercing was. I explained to them that 24 Hour Piercing told us to use alcohol for after-care and told us to twist our jewelry to 'help the healing process'. The professional at HTC said those were huge red flags. Twisting the jewelry causes bad irritation and effects the healing process negatively. Then he proceeded to take my infected, raw piercing out and gasped at how poorly it was done. He also explained that my jewelry was another bad sign because of the threads on the outside. These tear into your open skin when being put in. Supposedly, it costs them around $5 to get a hundred pieces of this bad quality jewelry. That's why they can afford to charge $20 for one piercing! Long story short, spend the extra money and WAIT TILL THE MORNING to get a good quality piercing!!!! IT'S WORTH IT. I cannot stress it enough. I had to take my jewelry out and I'm waiting for it to heal before I have to go get it RE-DONE at a better place. I am also strongly considering reporting this shop, because they did not use gloves on my ear. Read Less
