This beautiful, modern, and VERY clean shop is the best I have ever gone to. I traveled from Oregon just to have Warren add some ink. He is a very busy artist and worked hard to fit me in (with 5 months notice). Warren's hourly rate is VERY reasonable for what you are going to get from this shop. I just recently got a tattoo by Warren and my boyfriend did as well and we were beyond impressed by his artistic ability. My boyfriend got a moose that is incredibly realistic and was very well done. The sacred geometry I got had amazing dot and line work and I am super happy with it. I will not be going to any other artist for my tattoos. Lai and Warren are a very real and very welcoming couple. SDI Tattoo was the best experience ive had in a tattoo shop, Everyone was cool they had a nice set up in the waiting area with a PS4 so you can play games while you wait. I got a couple piercings done by Rachael. I live far away, so I messaged her quite a bit before I actually went in. She answered all my questions quickly and was super informative!When I went it to get the piercings done, she prepared the jewelry and the piercing room. She explained everything beforehand and made sure I had no more questions. I was super nervous, but she helped calm my nerves. She was quick, and I only felt a pinch. It was over before I knew it!She gave me aftercare instructions and said to come back in about 6 weeks to size down on the jewelry.I came back in to have the jewelry sized down. She measured everything and had me in and out within about 15 minutes. My experience with Rachael was wonderful and I recommend her to anyone looking to get pierced. The facility is clean, there is a bunch of quality jewelry on display to look at and buy, Rachael knows what she is doing, and she is so kind!I will definitely be coming back to her for any future piercings. I got a tattoo done here about a week ago and I absolutely loved the whole experience! They offered me snacks and drinks before I got my tattoo done, and made sure they took the time to draw out exactly what I wanted. It was very clean in the building and the staff was very nice! They also had phone chargers to make sure you were all set, and also offered me refreshments and snacks during my session. I will definitely go back to them when I want some more work done, and I will recommend them to everyone I know looking to get tattoos done. They also had this Armor Gel they recommended to me, they're the only place in Anchorage that has it so far and it healed my tattoo within 3 days!! The owner also did a follow up with me to make sure everything was okay with my tattoo and if I needed anything at all I can call or text. They treat everyone respectfully and love to have fun. My husband got a tattoo at this place and it was the best tattoo establishment that we have ever been in.  He sat for 9 hours straight, jake scrivener did an amazing job on his half sleeve and warren (owner) was an incredible host.  Some perks other than a quality tattoo:1.  Warren has set up Vizo TVs everywhere so you can stream from your phone or iPad whatever you want to watch while getting your tattoo.2.  They have snacks available in case you need a break, my husband was thankful for the coffee and snacks during the nine hours.3.  They are friendly!  Some tattoo shops seem to be elitists.  The staff and artists of SDI want to keep you coming back, so they treat you like family.  Every hour on the hour, a staff member checked in with my husband to see if he needed anything.  Total hospitality that you will not find anywhere else.4.  It's clean and well organized.  I have never seen everything so uniform in a tattoo shop that is dedicated to comfort of its clients.  Right down to the smallest details, this is the best tattoo shop in anchorage Read Less

Rachael is literally the only person I trust to pierce me. She's so knowledgeable and always explains what she's doing to make sure you understand the procedure. She will also custom or special order pieces from her distributors so that you can be the flyest honey around. I walked into the shop the other day and asked to get a septum piercing, I was able to leave with my piercing within 20 minutes! Everyone I talked to was extremely nice, and Rachael was just a sweetheart. She talked me through everything that she was doing, and was very professional and clean. They gave me a brochure with instructions on how to keep my piercing clean, and it had Rachael's business card stapled on so I can reach her if I need help. I went in and found that this place was so clean so modernized and very professional.
