Jake is an amazing artist and wonderful mentor to his apprentices. The shop is very clean and has a family friendly atmosphere. Jake is very diligent and truly cares about the artwork he puts on your body. My quarter sleeve healed beautifully and did not even scab. He won't push your body past what he thinks it can handle and is very open minded to what you want but also adds his own creativity as well. Just got a cute tattoo here. Eric did a wonderful job. Very professional, very clean. He explained all phases of the process and showed me the sterile instruments before he started. Not my first tattoo, so I was familiar with the process. Had a fun time chatting with the crew there. Most important is how nice they were to this "older hippie gal". When I get a tattoo, I want to be taken seriously, as you take this ink with you for the rest of your life, and you want your artist to be professional and courteous...and they sure were! My husband and I went here this evening for a quick, spontaneous tattoo. We met with Eric and Mona (I believe there names were), and from the second we walked in the door we were pleased. Very welcoming, worked with us on our design since we weren't quite sure how we wanted it. Orange beach tattoo is AMAZING 10/10 would recommend my mom and I had tattoos done and Eric did amazing(hope I spelled his name right) he was super cautious it was both our first time and we had so much fun!! Our tattoos look great exactly what we wanted and will definitely be coming back! I made an appt with Jake 2 days in advance. He was going to cover up an old tattoo with a hummingbird as a symbol for my mom who passed away last November. Jake spoke with me about the vibrant colors he planned to use and how he loved to do hummingbirds. I called the day before to confirm my appt. Everything for today was planned around my new tattoo. I was super excited. So I get there go in and let them know I have arrived for my appt with Jake. Some old lady whose hygiene is questionable began to question me about what tattoo I wanted. I told her I had been in on Wed and Jake had it all set up. She went on to tell me that Jake was booked and she would have to do my tattoo and asked what are we covering up. She was a rude old woman. I didn't want her to touch me much less do my tattoo. I would not recommend Orange Beach Tattoo to anyone. Really bad business ethic.Read Less

My husnand needed a cover-up done on his forearm. He tallwd to Eric at Orange Beach Tattoo who immediately showed an interest in the plans my husbamd had for the cover-up. He madw an appointment to come in to talk to Jake and Jake took the ideaa and ran with it. The entire staff is professional and friendly. And their concern lies with the customers experience. Two women and I went there to get tattoos I got a rose and a butterfly that are very awesome. my daughter-in-law got the tattoo below looked really nice when she got it but when we got back home to Indiana and a week pasted part of it just disappeared. Very disappointed because we can't just get in the car and drive to Orange Beach to get it fixed. I think they should offer to pay to have it fixed somewhere here because it is no fault of her she did exactly what they told her to do. We probably will never go back to Orange Beach so it's not like we can go there and have it fixed there once a year the three of us go somewhere special we don't do the same thing twice. Read Less

We just came here an hour and a half for a basic cross black tattoo with initials and the "adopted son" said he had barely done enough tattooes to keep the shop open but turned us down. Wow! Never been a tatt fan....47 years old. Down on a rainy vacation with 21 family members about 4 years ago. All us females decided we'd get tatts. I was thinking very small but decided on a bracelet of names of kids and grands. So glad i did. Got my 1st tatt with grandbaby watching. Now have the other arm bracelet with more amazing work. I came to Alabama with my best friend to visit with my grandparents for the week, and we were interested in getting a tattoo while on our vacation. When I found Orange Beach tattoo and saw all of the positive ratings I knew we had to come and check the place out, and I'm so glad we did! They made time to get our tattoos done that day since we were heading back to KY. I have a vacation home right behind this tattoo shop. While I don't live here full-time, I decided I wanted to get a tattoo and I wanted to give it to a local business here. I went and spoke with one of the artists, explained to him what I wanted him to design.  He took my idea said he would work on it for a few days and call me... five days later I heard nothing from them. When I told him initially that I was a part time resident he said no problem you have priority over people vacationing. I was glad to hear that so I wouldn't have to wait once the design is complete.   It would appear they're more interested in seasonal people then the people that live right in their backyard. I'm sure the original owner that started this business who is no longer with us, would be embarrassed. Excellent staff and work, would come to Orange Beach again just to get another tattoo done. Walked in spontaneously and got a Batman symbol on my ribs. Tim did a great job on the piece, the lining was excellent and the shading an even thick fill of 'stupid black', perfect for what I wanted. Jake did a piece on my girlfriend's ribs as well. He is a fantastic artist and welcomes all clients like family, and it shines through the rest of the artists. Would definitely go back, even though I live 1000+ miles away. Awesome experience. Jake and his staff were super professional and really friendly. I went with a friend to get a foot tatoo and his process was so very transparent and up front.
