I had an appointment with Billy at 1pm. We didn't start the Tattoo till 2 pm. All because I was being incredibly picky with the size and details. Makes sense since i have to look at it for the rest of my life. Not for one second did I get any sign of him being irritated nor did he become impatient. Customers kept coming in and booking appointments but he still took his time and worked with me to get the Tattoo exactly how I wanted it. Had some great conversation while getting it and I'm 100% pleased with the outcome of the tattoo. He is good at what he does and I recommend him to anyone in the area looking to have some ink done. Had the Marylin Monroe piercing done at Tattoo Zone. Left to pick up my husband and stop at Walmart. I was walking through the store when the piercing fell out. Had been approximately 2 hours max. They charge $40 for the piercing and told me I'd have to pay $30 for Jessica to redo it. To me......it should have been done properly in the first place. Never recommend.Read Less

I went in a while back and the place seemed dead I stood around at least 10 mins until I guess the girl working decided to finally come out of hiding. She was very rude the entire time and the piercing was crooked. Will never go back for a piercing. The tattoo artist Ben is pretty good tho he's the only reason I would give 2 stars Read Less

Clean shop with friendly knowledgeable staff. Bigger on the inside than you'd think! Even when they are up to their nose with clients they do their best to acknowledge a walk in's presence. They have plenty of seating and stacks of flash on the walls to look at IF you have to wait. It's possible they may ask you to come back another time, but that's only because they believe in quality work, and know you won't get good work out of a rushed piece. Totally worth scheduling an appointment to get the attention that your new piece deserves- don't show up 30 minutes before closing and leave a bum review because they want to make sure you've been taken care of properly! I was pierced by Dustin who is outwardly caring in his profession, and incredibly thorough in communication when it comes to directions and aftercare. While I have never stepped inside this shop, I have been inked by one of their artists. Matt Skinner is top tier best I've ever been blessed to have their artwork on my body. I honestly felt like a canvas that was set in front of Monet (or insert your favourite artist here) when I travelled hundreds of miles and searched through thousands of artists over a 6 month period and narrowed it down to him. I had a vision of exactly (or so I thought) what I wanted. It was as if he s...tepped inside my mind, extracted my idea then improved it beyond my wildest imagination and then executed to perfection. I will travel anywhere no matter the cost for my next tattoo to become his canvas again. After all it is forever... You will be extremely overwhelmed by how much he exceeded your expectations should you ever be lucky enough to have Matt Skinner daunt your skin and transform it into a masterpiece! But don't take my word for it. Do your research and find what you think is the best. Then, put any one of his pieces next to it... Then look at the rest of both artists side by side and see how consistent the quality is... But remember you get what you pay for... Two years ago I had a double mastectomy and was not able to have reconstruction. While I'm ok with that, the scars were bringing me down, and finding tops that didn't expose those scars was difficult.I made an appointment, and Amanda came up with a beautiful design for me. Not only does it cover my scars, it has changed my life. This was a difficult and lengthy task, but she did it brilliantly. If she could do this, Amanda can do anything. Highly recommend! Read Less

Tom did my tattoo a while ago and it was beautiful! He does everything in his power to make you comfortable and he has a great personality. I can't write a review on their quality of work, but I can on their customer service & pricing. Long story short: I did roughly 2 weeks of research on the best tattoo shops in the area and was most impressed by Royal Street Tattoo downtown. The problem was they had a 2-month to 1 year waiting list for some of their best artists, so I went with my 2nd choice...The Tattoo Zone.I went in wanting 2 very basic tattoos that would take roughly 45 minutes to complete. The guy upfront seemed high and I kept having me wait on the artist to finish up a tattoo before he quoted me a price. This took around 30-40 minutes of wasted time. Finally the guy comes out and quotes me $200. Haha!$200 for 2 very simple and basic tattoos (not including tip). After claiming that they pretty much had the best artists in town and I couldn't beat their pricing, I took my chances at dropping by Royal Street Tattoo downtown hoping 1 of their artists might be available. Best decision I made. The artist, Pony had a cancelled appointment just the moment I walked in. He saw what I wanted and immediately said, "I'll do it for $150." No waiting game or BS, just straight to the point.Because of his artistry, level of talent, popularity and passion, Pony has a waiting list that extends months long. I was more than excited to do business with them and the tattoos turned out amazing.Don't waste your time or money at The Tattoo Zone. Go to Royal Street Tattoo instead.That's just my experience.
