Got my second tattoo here - just a small one - but it was done so well and it still looks great two years later. The atmosphere was great- I felt very comfortable there. It was neither too sterile a la a hospital nor too dark and scary a la a dungeon but cozy and clean and filled with amazing artwork to keep your eyes and mind busy while you wait. Came in with some old and poorly done finger tattoos, they were crooked, blown out and NILS WORKED A MIRACLE ON THEM. He took his time, was very polite and professional, and he talked me through how he was going to fix them. Would return without hesitation. I had my first sitting with Ryan, last night, for a custom design. Ryan apparently read my mind and drew the perfect design on the first try. Very disappointed with Ryan and the way he conducts business. Visited in person last November to make an appointment for my son to get his first tattoo the following week. Ryan requested a $40 deposit and told me it was to hold my appointment. Due to the fact it took him 4 days to respond to my initial facebook message, and because he opened the shop almost an hour late that day, I gave him a $100 deposit. I gave him that much because I was coming from over 2 hours away an...d wanted to make sure he knew I was definetely coming. Ryan gave my son the tattoo, which by the way is already fading), and when it was time to pay he said its is $300 less the $40 deposit, and I reminded him it was $100 deposit, I also tipped him $50.00. I was in a rush to leave because it was raining and I did not feel well, and when i got him I noticed he only gave me a credit for $40.00 and not the $100 deposit. Several emails went back and forth between in which he changes his story more than once. First he said it was a drawing fee, and that was the first and only time he mentioned that. Then he blamed me for not looking when i signed the receipt. When I said "you asked for $40 and I gave you $100 to hold the appointment he said "you didnt have to do that". Even though I asked him nicely 3-4 times to refund my $60, he refused and was offensive. I will be reporting this shop to the Better Business Bureau. What should have been a good memory was ruined by the Ryan's snotty attitude. Ver mais Read Less

I got my first piece done here in 2004 and have been coming back since.  Conan just gets better every year.  His staff does kick ass work to boot.  I drive from Atlanta for the love of the shop and the price difference is huge.  Clean, safe, affordable, and the owners have been in Aubrun for over a decade and love the town and its people.  I suggest everyone that goes to the University stop in and ask for a Boykin Tattoo.  They will know what you mean. Best tattoo shop I have ever been to! Not only do they do great work, they are nice..very nice! I say that because almost every other shop I have been in was full of jack@sses. I was very impressed with this shop, I met all the artist and like them all! Leah did my work and she is amazing!! I only had one tattoo before going to Shenanigans, and i recently got my second one here. I contacted them via phone and email, b/c i live in montgomery, and they were so super helpful throughout the process. I paid for an appointment, arrived, and was instantly impressed. It's something comparable to perfect. A clean store, a fresh smell, plenty of sterilizer and gloves all around, stacks of fresh needles and a friendly, non-intimidating greeter. They worked with me to perfect my idea, Conan was super easy to talk to during my 3 hour tattoo and the quality has me addicted to getting tattoos. Conan hand picks his tattoo artists, and while I haven't gotten any tattoos from his other artists, if he was booked up and i would be happy to lay under someone's needle that works there. Great all around, this isn't a biker tattoo shop, they don't make you feel like garbage. It's a smart choice, I can't wait to get more tattoos here. Read Less
