My friends and I had a helix piercing today, the guy messed about and was very slow causing a lot of pain. Went to another piercing shop and was told they'd used a nipple/ tongue bar which was too thick and heavy. Read Less

Josh did my first tattoos on the back of my knees about 3 years ago and then he did a huge one of my back 2 years ago. I'm currently travelling the world and it's really hot everywhere I go so they're always on show and I keep having people come up to me and ask me if I've just had them done because of how fresh and new they look. They're both really colourful and even the oldest ones are still so vivid that I constantly get asked if they're even real. I have 2 other tattoos ...from other artists and they don't get anywhere near the same appreciation as the ones Josh did. I put a lot of research into getting a decent artist for my first tattoos as they are matching on the back of each knees so I couldn't risk it going wrong. I got two piercings done here, very high standard of cleanliness with properly sterilised equipment. They pierce with real needles instead of the "piercing guns" unlike some places in York which I much prefer. Licenced piercers and good price. I think it was about £30 for two piercings which is pretty good. They are now healing up nicely! I'm very happy with this experience. Oh and I liked the atmosphere. Quite an aesthetic place. I simply would not go anywhere else! Some fantastic artists in there and the whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish. Polish Dan works here and he is rated as one of the best in the country. I had Jon who has now done all 3 of my tattoos and I am absolutely over the moon with all of them. Jon will be finishing that sleeve off as and when I get chance he is a great artist. Yes it is slightly more expensive than some other tattooists but the old adage rings true here "You pay for what you get!", and as tattoos are for a life time just don't risk it anywhere else. 10 out of 10!
