Great artwork- very happy with the design process and the final result. The only issue is that they were a little too relaxed on the paperwork/ checking side of things, and there was hardly any discussion about aftercare for my tattoo; in the end I went to a pharmacy to ask for advice. Read Less

I just had 2 tattoos done by the tattooist named Vesso. I arrived early, and one of the tattooists that worked there was very friendly and spoke to me before it opened. I was let in and was seen to by Vesso. Extremely friendly, the receptionist was extremely nice and polite and helped me out when my booking was misplaced and got me in. Vesso was willing to give breaks if I needed it, and I didn't. Gave me very good aftercare advice. Went in a week or so ago to get a quote, was quoted £140 for both, and they charged me £140 for it, unlike previous tattooists that quote £150 and charge £200. Will definitely go back for my next tattoos. Definitely reccomend people to go. Read Less

I went down to Ruby Arts because I had heard of Mick Tomo before and knew he was a well-known and respected artist. I booked my tattoo telling Mick exactly what I wanted (writing on my inner bicep) and he wrote it all down for me and told me to come back the following week for my appointment. So I drove the hour drive to get to the studio on the day of my appointment and was looking forward to it! As I arrived he'd forgotten what it was I wanted, so the consulation I travelled an hour for was completely pointless. I explained what I wanted again and he went to print out a font to see if I liked it. I didn't like the first font he offered me and I thought it was too big as well. He was extremely rude and not very welcoming at all. It was almost like it was my fault I didn't like the font. I asked to see an alternative font and he went off into the other room, showing an obvious annoyance. He came back with a different font and I decided that I liked the font but wanted it without capital letters and just in lower case. He said "if we keep changing it, we'll be here all night" in a very grumpy and intimidating way. I said "well it's going to be on my body for the rest of my life" and he just looked at me and didn't say anything. In the end, after more of his intimdation and pure rudeness towards me and my idea i decided to leave and book an appointment somewhere else. He did not apoligise or show any sort of emotion. I left feeling extremely disappointed since I had planned this tattoo for a long time and was really looking forward to it. I wasted my afternoon travelling to the studio and I also wasted money in petrol to get there. He may be a good artist but having a good tattoo experience is vital. He was unwelcoming, rude, intimidating and made me feel pressured into getting a tattoo I didn't want. I will definately not be returning and would not recommend this studio to anyone. Read Less

I just had my 3rd tattoo done at Ruby Arts and I gotta say - they are amazing.  I emailed the drawing of what I wanted to the guys at Ruby Arts about a week in advance and showed up on a Saturday (the day they do first come, first served appointments) and got on the books for 3:30 pm.  By the time I got back for my turn, they had already drawn up the template and were ready to go.  Because I'm picky, I debated on a few things and ended up having to ask them to make a few changes, and they were happy to oblige.  I know a lot of tattoo guys have the reputation for being assholes, but these guys were friendly, professional, and my tattoo came out looking fantastic!  He (Mick) was very friendly with the price, too.I can say I'm proud to give these guys 5 well-deserved stars for their hard work and when I get ready to have my next piece done, I'll go to Ruby Arts for sure.  Well done!
