I came to Wilde Ink for a lobe peircing last week. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and taken upstairs to the top floor once I had filled in the form she gave me. I appreciated her friendly welcome and the relaxed atmosphere she provided however I was disappointed with the cleanliness throughout the time I was sat upstairs. Firstly, as expected, the staff member cleaned my ears with a wipe, put gloves on and drew on dots on my ear lobes as a guide. She peirced both ...my ears and I have been happy with the result since. I do believe that unfortunately, more training needs to be given to this particular staff member as at one point, she dropped the peircing on the floor, and picked it up with her gloves hands and inserted it into my ear. I also noticed that she opened the bin 2/3 times with the same gloved hands she peirced my ears with. Lastly I also noticed that she did not roll up her sleeves, and that half of her gloves hands were covered by her jumper sleeves. Lukily, it has been a week since the peircing and my ear lobes are fine and healing nicely, but I do believe for the importance of your reputation that cleanliness is the most important factor of a piercing/tattoo shop. I only hope this review will result in further training. Other tattoo and peircing shops I have been to have taken the cleanliness very seriously and have staff members who change their gloves to a clean pair after touching anything other than the ears and peircing, least of all the floor and bin. Courtney the tattoo apprentice did one of her own designs on my thigh, I absolutely love it. Clean and friendly studio, she made me feel at ease, always asking if I was okay. Very easy to find, close carparking. Felt very comfortable, will definitely be coming back for more tattoos!!!! Read Less

Had a tattoo done by Courtney a few weeks ago. All healed nicely now. She made me feel comfortable and we had a good laugh. Think my face hurt from laughing more than my leg hurt. She was kind enough to add some custom colour for me to her design to signify each of my 4 dogs by their harness colours (working huskies /mixes). Brilliant! I'm really chuffed with my tats. Age 47 and having my first ones. They designed them and I had one down my spine and one at the bottom of my back. After all the horror stories from friends that had gone elsewhere this was a dodle. No pain and 2 hours later thrilled to bits with the result and telling all my friends.
