I got a helix piercing done here and was really happy with the service I received. My piercing became very swollen (I don't believe it was through any fault of the piercer, I had irritated it by sleeping on it and cleaning it with homemade saline solution that was too hot) so I went back and they happily put a longer bar in for me to allow the piercing room to breather/reduce the pain and gave me really helpful after care advice. Lovely place. Got my rook pierced and the piercer was great (didn't catch his name, but he's got a brilliant distinctive moustache). Reassuring, quick, and great placement. I never leave reviews, but this place is so friendly! I went in once to get a second set of lobe piercings and then again for a tattoo. Both experiences - the staff made me laugh. It was a walk in and Dave took the reigns on it. He was so sweet and talkative and really wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with what he was creating for me. I most recently called into Ultimate Skin for my appointment just yesterday. My appointment was with Lukasz for a traditional horse and horseshoe and it was a great experience as per usual. Lukasz was a very funny guy and Katie who works on reception was friendly and approachable just as I'd remembered her from my previous visit. As I mentioned, I have been tattooed at the shop before and that was with an Italian travelling guest artist called Davide. That was also a brilliant experience as he was a very interesting guy with some great stories to tell! Its worth mentioning that all the artists and staff are brilliant and are in no way intimidating or egotistical. There's an artist for every style and the shop itself is a warm, welcoming place. Hello! I came to Ultimate Skin yesterday for a daith piercing to try and help with my migraines. I was recommended to this piercer and everyone was really welcoming upon my arrival :) I have quite small fiddly ears so the piercer did really well to get the daith in, she seemed to be more worried about my pain than I was. Absolutely love my piercings. Lisa did a couple of body piercings for me and she couldn't have done a better job. They are exactly how I wanted them. No infection. Very little pain. Great customer service and care, very friendly and professional. They treat customers with respect and dignity and make you feel comfortable and at ease, especially when you're REALLY nervous about getting a piercing. She gave me discount due to some delay on the arrival of the titanium bars but it was worth the wait. I went back to change the bars as I was having some trouble with the first ones, and she did it free of charge. Thank you so much Ultimate Skin! The other week I had a spontaneous surge of adrenaline. To release this I decided to come to Ultimate Skin and get my lip pierced. As soon as I walked in I felt at ease.I've been into many tattoo studios before only to be met with the 'you don't belong here' glare. This place was different, the people were friendly.I can't remember the name of the girl who pierced my lip but she had great tattoos!She was professional, clean and made me feel so comfortable (even when I was starting to fill with panic and regret but shhhh, don't tell anyone!)I paid £20 which I was more than happy with.**Like the FB page as they frequently offer 2 piercings at this price - bargain!**Overall it was a great experience. I have two tattoos and both were from here. The artists here were very talented however have moved on to bigger and better places (Black Crown Tattoo). Without the artists this studio is nothing. A 2-minute walk from Primark means this studio is easy to reach however is not necessarily easy to find. Its situated on top of a shop so you need to look out for a door open that looks vaguely like it might be a tattoo studio. Hint - skulls on the wall.The inside is what you might expect, small, poky and not attractive either. It's all very intimidating with an open space where artists are all working on tattoos at once. I think a few artists there have their own private rooms but every time I've had a tattoo there, it's been in the open space. Good or bad, your decision, however I find it to be quite comforting. They charge £60 an hour, which is average for somewhere with such good artists. With tattoos its very much pay for what you get. Read Less
