I first contacted the studio after hearing a recommendation from a friend based on the owner Jordan's massage skills. I didn't even realise it was a tattoo studio but after some flirtatious emails, I went in to check it out. I was welcomed by the scent of lavender and jojoba oils and was immediately led through a purple velour curtain by Jordan. He asked if I would like some privacy while I removed my clothes but by this point I was happy for him to help. As I lay naked, face... down ass up on a cling film wrapped massage bed, I heard a faint buzz and assumed that it was merely the hum of excitement coming from the now rather sweaty Jordan. I don't remember much else but when I got home I walked by a mirror and noticed my entire back was tattooed. The mixture of calming crust punk music, jojoba, lavender and Jordan's sweet welcome must have numbed the pain and I can honestly say I've never had a better experience. The cream he gave me after that I assumed was for the possible herpes outbreak was actually a calming coconut oil for my amazing new tattoo. Wow! I had my first tattoo ever done here and boy was I bricking it on my way down but as soon as I stepped in, all my anxieties melted away. Occult is filled with radical people, staff and customers alike and the entire atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Everyone's lovely and talkative, seeming to take a genuine interest in who you are and how you are, all the while being extremely professional. All of my experiences there have just been the best, no complaints at all!
