This is the only place I go for piercings and jewellery, I live about 30 mins away but will always travel here. I always feel very welcome and comfortable which is exactly what you need with a piercing shop. Quentin and Rosie are very knowledgeable and very personable. Had my Helix pierced at Kalima last week and I couldn't be happier with my whole experience. Quentin went through everything with me before he did the piercing, including complications that may come up with healing. He also explained to me the full piercing process while he was doing it. I received a full after care package with instructions and also a contact number for out of hours should I have any problems. I have never known anybody care so much about their clients. Went this weekend to get a second piercing on each lobe and the girl (sorry I didn't get ur name) who did it was so lovely and so precise in making sure the piercings were completely symmetrical. And they even give u an aftercare package with all the things u need to clean the piercings afterwards. Would definitely get pierced here again! Read Less

Took my 10 year old to get his ear pierced yesterday and couldn't rate you guys highly enough. The lady at the counter was really friendly and made him feel at ease. Very disappointed. My work colleagues bought me a £20 gift voucher from here as I said I wanted new ear jewellery. After showing the staff my voucher he said it's for piercings only not jewellery! Surely a gift voucher from a shop is for anything they sell. I don't want another piercing I have enough. Can't rate these guys highly enough! I rang in the morning to enquire about a Helix Piercing, spoke to a lovely lady who clearly knew her stuff and gave me all the info I needed immediately. I popped in that evening, a lovely little emporium, greeted warmly and seen straight away. I was informed I could be pierced with a small labret (flat backed) crystal stud, which I was delighted with, I didn't want a chunky ring or barbell, especially as you have to leave them in a long... time to heal before they can be changed. I was given a choice of several studs and they had exactly what I was after. Quentin was amazing, I was very nervous, but he has a fantastic ability to calm and even help you enjoy the piercing experience. His knowledge, standards of hygiene and professionalism are exceptional, a quick pinch and it was all over! The after care info is clear and conscientious, you even get a lolly and some stickers! Quentins home made Herbal Tincture that comes with the care pack is clearly phenomenal, because less than 2 weeks after the cartilage piercing I have no pain, swelling or redness, healing is coming along super well. I could even sleep on that side now if I wanted to (I just choose not to until it is completely healed inside and out) All in all I'm chuffed to bits, top marks guys! I have always gone to Kalima for my piercings as to me, they WERE the best. My last visit was a septum piercing. I am so disappointed because the woman performing the piercing was clearly very incompetent at her job. Over three months later, my WONKY septum piercing is still sore to the touch even after religiously cleaning twice a day. My cartilage has also collapsed, so my nose is now permanently damaged. Will never return to them, which is sad for me, but maybe they need to be a bit more careful on who they employ. Read Less
