Going into a tattoo shop can be really intimidating, and you can feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome. This place is he opposite - the staff here is super friendly and professional from start to finish. They really take your comfort into consideration and have great hospitality! I have had quite a few tattoos done by Matt Youl now and he has never disappointed! They even have a TV in the tattoo room so long sessions aren't boring! I had a large leg piece done yesterday by Dawnii - and I'm so pleased! Not only is the tattoo itself completely awesome but the whole experience was too. Communication before the appointment was great and Dawnii, along with everyone I met there, was really laid back, friendly and helpful. This was my first tattoo and I felt completely at home because of the calm, relaxed atmosphere and everyone being so cool. The Painted Lady studio itself is quirky and interesting but above ...all, very clean. Everywhere smells of antiseptic and every effort is made to keep things clean, tidy and hygienic. Dawnii herself was really keen that the tattoo should be exactly what I wanted and she went to a lot of trouble to make sure I was really happy with it before starting - nothing was too much trouble and she checked throughout that I was coping ok, offering me coffee and a break if ever I needed one. She gave me great advice on aftercare and my tattoo is looking awesome 24hrs later. All in all, Painted Lady is brilliant - everything a tattoo studio should be and more.
